WoundedLamb: Garden of Eden is a product of religious literature and only applies to abrahamic religions. Bringing that into a secular discussion on history is extremely limiting. The original occupants of any location according to history are the founders of the vacant land. That is, those settlers who did not have to fight any pre-existing occupant to be there according any available records.
If we cannot use Abrahamic religion’s Garden of Eden, how did the original occupants get to the vacant land to settle in it

WoundedLamb: No. You said "whites before immigrants" and I'm saying even the whites were immigrants. By original Americans, I'm referring to the aborigines prior to the discovery of the region by white Europeans. These same aborigines (mostly red Indians) are still there today and unknown to many, they are still angry at the government for stealing their lands. A good deal of them are still not as educated as an average American of today but the get special treatments in some North American regions.
I did not say anything earlier but came in to clarify what original means. Are you saying that the aborigines/red Indians are also migrants from the garden of Eden
Deepthoughts: When Tinubu talk of recent mismanagement of our diversity and economy,is he referring to buhari is how close is his "recent"?,I ask this because I doubt if Tinubu has got the balls to dare.
Don’t mind the hypocrite, double mouthed rogue. Has he not mismanaged Lagos diversity and economy for over two decades?

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?
IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.
SUFFERInSMILIIN: To cut a long story short you have failed the country. And the previous leaders before you have also failed. I do not really blame the government that is what the Citizens want they will only vote for a criminal
But he has not failed himself and his immediate family
RuudVanNisteroy: Adams Oshiomhole told the world that Ize Iyamu was a cultist who was rusticated after he deformed another student by pouring acid on him and also a thief who looted the state dry when he was Secretary to the State Government, under convicted thief Lucky Igbinedion.
dre11: FLASHBACK: Oshiomhole once wanted building named after Obaseki for ‘selfless service’
Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), once said Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, worked for the state using his brain and creativity.
Oshiomhole, who praised the governor during the governorship campaign of 2016, said a building at the government house should be named after Obaseki for his selfless service.
Oshiomhole said while he was governor of Edo, Obaseki helped him build the economy team of the state with his network.
“I know my limit. He knows his limit. Godwin Obaseki has worked for seven and half years for the people of Edo state, using his brain, creativity, quietly, not making noise,” Oshiomhole said.
“He sits in the office of the economic team which he built using his network of friends inside the heart of government house without demanding one naira.
“A man like that who will not ask me to give him contracts, but will promise me, comrade, you just do the thinking, we will create the means to actualise your thoughts. And to his credit today, check the books of Edo state, we did not build new structures in government house with government money. That economic team office was built through Godwin’s network. Today, it remains a permanent asset of the state government.
“I want us to be calling that building Godwin Obaseki building. I don’t see your opponent Ize-Iyamu being able to say that. In 2007, check the records, Ize-Iyamu was hiding from EFCC. He didn’t not vote. How can somebody who didn’t vote claim that he made me.
“If you have to look at Godwin and his credentials and you look at a man whose only work, by his CV, was a student and rusticated for two years, he read law but he is not a barrister. That is his foundation. I never gave him government job. Lucky Igbinedion’s mother was reported to have slapped Ize-Iyamu for misleading her son. He tried it with me, but we kept him away. Nothing near government circle. No access to public funds.
“Look at the road to his house, in our books, was dual carriage way. They took the money, constructed the road to his house and stopped. Although we have liquidated the godfathers politically, the entire political family will be liquidated.”

The deprived people are happy with their useless kerosene governor.
Igboblog: 2019 : I Weep For Abians By Wisdom Nwedene (Must Read)
Written by Wisdom Nwedene
Yesterday, pictures of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu branded Tanker distributing free kerosene to people at Umunkpeyi and other locations circulated the social media space.
Many people were seen struggling to get the free kerosene from the tanker.
I was shocked and wept bitterly when I saw the pictures because this is no longer the Abia State I know before.
From Ikpeazu's moves by sharing free kerosene and money to Abians few days to Governorship election, it is crystal clear that he is aware that he has failed the people who entrusted him with power.
I also heard that Ikpeazu said that the dark days are over for the civil servants in Abia State and donated 10 million naira to them.
My question to the civil servants is, will Ikpeazu 10 million naira solve the pains and problems you have been through in the last three and half years?
Let me quickly recall that in the last three and half years, almost all the civil servants in every sector protested over non payments of their salaries.
Let me do flashback, in 2018, the staff of Abia State owned University teaching hospital, Aba protested and cursed Ikpeazu over non-payment of their 9months salary.
The demonstration was staged Inside the premises of the hospital.
Also, in terms of infrastructure, Ikpeazu has not done well.
Let me also draw your mind to the Osisoma Flyover being constructed by Ikpeazu for over three years now.
Despite his promise that the flyover will be completed in January 2019, the truth is that the project has been abandoned.
When it comes to good road, hospital, empowering the farmers, Ikpeazu has not delivered also.
I don't know any reason a true Abia State born should want Ikpeazu to return to the Government House when he has failed to deliver half of the promises he made in 2015.
If you come to Ebonyi State, you will see what Umahi did in terms of infrastructure . He built many flyovers, good roads and empowered farmers. That's what I expected Ikpeazu to do.
Let me make it clear that I'm not from Abia State and didn't receive a dime to pen down this article but as a journalist, I know it is imperative to speak against evils, injustice, hunger, etc when I see them.
jofatek: It baffles me the way people ignorantly insult men of God. You have no idea how many lives they have touched, how many marriage they av fixed, how many souls they saved possibly from drug addiction, depression etc. Bishop Oyedepo has more than 25,000 workforce that draws pay every month(employer of labour). You don't expect them to go with cameras when helping people or report to you or your country. One of his PA said Papa don't like publicising his gestures to the poor, he told them that when you do so you are taking away their dignity. The last time I checked churches gave items worth millions of naira to your country during the lockdown. It is tithe money, did you pay yours to them?. Have you asked your government How they are managing your tax?. And Lastly How many lives have you touched?. Start from your neighborhood. God bless you.
You mean that I should ask OLEdepo how much of my stolen taxes end up with him
This is not the time to increase fuel price in our darling nation at all.
Not with all that is going on around the world, pandemic et al, When people are finding it difficult to survive.
This is part of the same reason we voted out the party of thieves and criminals.
THIS IS NOT THE CHANGE WE VOTED FOR.
The same way we sane, honest and hardworking Nigerians praised this government when they reduced fuel price sometimes ago, we should make sure we put our voice together to castigate and talk against this.
That is the voice the government will listen to, Not the voice of children of hate, frustration and perdition that have never seen any good thing in our country, That all they do is to wail continously in life. They even wailed when the price was reduced. They have been wailing since PMB won the election, even before swearing in! They are not wailing for the common man like (Omotola) and all other sane and honest people are doing, but they are wailing in pain that the corrupt money being shared to them by the losers they support is not forthcoming anymore. They have been so used to corruption, they see it as a way of life. That is what we stand against.
WE SAY NO TO FUEL PRICE INCREASE. A better Nigeria for all is all we want.
Enjoy the monster you created in Aso Rock

I HATE TRAINS. I HATE BRIDGES. I HATE RICE. I HATE TALLEST BUILDING EAST OF THE NIGER
Let me give the background to this piece. I was reading some comments on Twitter early in the week, when I ran into this one by one Dr Ben Gbenro: “Why are some people allergic to good news about Nigeria? You are angry about the test-run of Lagos-Ibadan rail, you are angry about the development in Onne Port, but will eagerly amplify any negative news even if it’s not true. Something is wrong with you and I am here to tell you.”
Of course, that comment generated responses, both positive and negative. But the one that caught my fancy specially was by Ayekooto, who declared: “We have got to a stage when GMB achievements can no longer be denied but hated. I hate trains. I hate bridges. I hate rice.”
GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
Please stop your wailing already. We know the liars who hate development but adore looters and looting.
Its new year and guys are traveling to spend time and celebrate with family and friends. A friend of my just sent in these picture about his journey from Port Harcourt To Enugu yesterday in the new train.
YouthsPC0: As General Mohammadu Buhari commissions the Abuja - Kaduna high speed rail project it has become imperative set the records straight not just for history and for humanity sake but most importantly to prevent the attempt by drunk and misguided paid lairs to steal from a man with vision and give the stolen property to a clueless man without direction.
Many have claimed that the Abuja -Kaduna high speed was Initially conceived by Obasanjo the claim is false . The truth is that under Obasanjo, a consortium submitted a for a RAIL (std guage) project which included the Kaduna- Abuja rail line unfortunately despite initial high interest shown by Obasanjo, the Owu chief dumped the project in pursuit of his third term agenda which unfortunately hit the rocks thanks to Atiku ,Ken Nnamani and Ghali Umar Na'Abba.
When the same idea was submitted to Yardua/Jonathan they accepted it, Although Yardua later died Jonathan pursued it with vigor and commenced its construction and pursued it to conclusion.
Simon Kolawole former editor of Thisday and now publisher of Cable expressly confirms the fact that President Jonathan was the initiator of the project.
Obasanjo had nothing to do with it!, people confuse the Abuja light rail project(intra city)whose ground breaking was performed by Obasanjo with the Abuja-Kaduna rail project .
It is imperative to note that apart of the grass clearing (tagged official ground breaking in 2007) for the intracity project Obasanjo never did anything to actualise the dream. the intracity project was originally linked to the Abuja's bid to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014 which never happened!
GEJ also ensured that the Abuja-Kaduna high speed rail project did not suffer like most government projects, hence when budget provisions could not meet up with counterpart funding levels SURE-P a creation of Jonathan from subsidy Savings came to the rescue
The only project that received more attention under Jonathan apart from the Federal University/ Almajiri school project & Rice Farming was this high speed rail. project.
Unfortunately APC chieftains who are shamelessly taking selfies with the project were the ones who claimed the coaches were locomotives.
1. Amaechi Buharis Campaign Director General and current minister of transport:
Hear Amaechi in His own words:
“In fact, I think we have a problem; most people don’t believe that the railway transport is functioning in Nigeria. I didn’t even know, until I started this tour, I never knew that the railway was functioning, it was even from his (MD’s) speech that I learnt that there are some coaches or services that go to Kano or Port Harcourt or elsewhere.
Stated that the Abuja - Kaduna rail project did not exist , he even went as far as posting pictures of a open field where he claimed a taxi driver took him to to buttress his lies! Today the young man is tweeting pictures all over the place showing Buhari commissioning a project he earlier claimed did not exist !
APC as a party claimed the transformation of the rail sector only existed in the imagination of the former president today they are taking selfies inside another mans idea
Source:
APC Campaign Faults Jonathan’s Achievement On Railway, Says ‘Transformation’ Claim Fraudulent, Product Of Over-Active Imagination
1. Nigerians : we now have a world class rail system we can all be proud of
2. Former President Jonathan : his vision of a world class rail transport is gradually being fulfilled, and for finally giving general Buhari one thing to commission in his second year In Office
3. General Buhari : for not allowing the Demon's that made him cancel the Lagos Metro rail project in 1983 prevail this time
They said PDP destroyed Nigeria I agree with them because this rail project is part of the "destruction".
Supervising painting takes effort so if Amaechi decides to take glory for that no problems even the devil can't take that away from the Buhari administration but that was all they did supervised the paintings. but instead of taking glory for their Sidon watch painting expedition they used the occasion to insult the Man that conceived and built the structure what a world ?
We hope that there will be something done and something to complete when. General Buhari complete his 4 year tenure as President.
Nigeria Halts China Railway Firm In Its Tracks NOV 4, 2008
China's top railway builder has encountered a glitch in a lucrative project in Nigeria, jeopardizing a large portion of the firm's future profits and prompting analysts to wonder if a closer look at the risks of its aggressive African investment strategy is in order.
The Nigerian government has temporarily suspended China Railway Construction's $8.3 billion rail project linking Nigeria's north and south. The news sent China Railway Construction shares plunging 18.5%, to 7.99 Hong Kong dollars ($1.03), in Hong Kong, the steepest drop since its initial public offering in March.
Nigeria's Transportation Ministry wants to renegotiate contract terms for the rail link, set to span 1,315 kilometers (817.1 miles) between coastal Lagos and the northern city of Kano, China Railway Construction revealed in a statement filed to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange late Monday night. The government's action deals a big blow to the infrastructure firm, as the rail project represents fully 13.9% of the total value of all its contracts as of Sept. 30, according to the statement.
The Nigerian government's motives are likely both political and financial in nature, analysts say. A turnover of leaders has put major foreign contracts in the country under review and in limbo. Meanwhile, the drastic fall in oil prices has squeezed Nigeria's budget, limiting its ability to finance major infrastructure projects. The 17-month-old administration of President Umaru Yar'Adua has expressed skepticism about the terms for infrastructure and oil contracts negotiated by its predecessor and has called the 2006 contract with China Railway Construction "over inflated."

todaynewsreview: The bodies of at least 74 migrants have been washed ashore in western Libya, in the latest tragedy along the dangerous trafficking route to Europe. The Libyan Red Crescent posted photos of dozens of bodies in black and white bags lined up along the shore near the western city of Zawiya. A spokesman for the aid organisation said there were still bodies floating out at sea as the agency had no way of retrieving them. He said the migrants were all adults, mostly from sub-Saharan African countries, and all but three were men. The UN migration agency, the International Organisation of Migration (IOM), said the dinghy had set off on Saturday with 110 people on board. The agency said traffickers deliberately took the engines from the boat and then abandoned it to drift.
