Maranzano: If APC could not make any difference in the management of the state house clinic for 5 years that they have been in power, why did they deceive Nigerians in 2015 by shouting Change to the rooftop? People should condemn evil for what it is and not play politics with human lives. God gave us immunity over this Corona virus if not, both the leaders and their zombie followers would have known that disease does not know your political affiliation. "One of the major killer of our economy apart from corruption is Waste. Our scarce resources are being plunder away very carelessly and unnecessarily wasted. "Let me give an instance, presently, there are more than 6 aircraft in the presidential fleet.
What do you call that? "Billions of naira is budgeted every year for the maintenance of these aircraft not to talk of operational cost and other expenses.
"You may want to ask what a Nigerian President is doing with so much aircraft when a Prime Minister of Britain fly around using the same public aircraft like an ordinary Briton.
"Go and check and compare with that of any developed country in the world, the office of the Nigerian President is a very expensive one inspite our high level of poverty and joblessness.
"Despite all these, you still find a Nigerian Minister spending about N10billion to charter an aircraft for just one year."Now, for me, when we come into office, all these waste will be blocked and properly channelled into our economy. "We intend for instance, to bring back our National carrier, the Nigerian Airways."We shall do this by bringing all the aircraft in the presidential fleet into the Nigerian airway and within a year increase the fleet into about 20.
What is the Difference between me and those who elected us to represent them, absolutely nothing. Why should Nigerian President not fly with other Nigerian public? "Why do I need to embark on a foreign trip as a president with a huge crowd with public funds?"Why do I need to go for foreign medical trip if we cannot make our hospital functional? "Why do we need to send our children to school abroad if we cannot developed our university to compete with the foreign ones?
"Why, and why must our people be servants to the foreigners in the midst of plenty? I can go on and on."I came here in the UK and I chose to trek just to make sure I sent a message back home to some people who wish us dead.
This is not my struggle, it is our collective efforts to save Nigeria from those who have failed us for 16 years."-

lalasticlala: In a statement by Commissioner for Information in Abia on Sunday, John Kalu, the government said, “Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the government and entire people of our state mourn with the family, friends and relations of the late Dr Anya as well as the people of Ohafia where he hails from.
http://saharareporters.com/2020/04/05/abia-government-mourns-death-doctor-united-states-coronavirus If the useless kerosene governor had used the resources of the state properly, why will the doctor practice in the Us when there are medical needs for Abians Same story with our other politicians ruining and wrecking our country with their reckless looting. Igboblog: 2019 : I Weep For Abians By Wisdom Nwedene (Must Read)
Written by Wisdom Nwedene
Yesterday, pictures of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu branded Tanker distributing free kerosene to people at Umunkpeyi and other locations circulated the social media space.
Many people were seen struggling to get the free kerosene from the tanker.
I was shocked and wept bitterly when I saw the pictures because this is no longer the Abia State I know before.
From Ikpeazu's moves by sharing free kerosene and money to Abians few days to Governorship election, it is crystal clear that he is aware that he has failed the people who entrusted him with power.
I also heard that Ikpeazu said that the dark days are over for the civil servants in Abia State and donated 10 million naira to them.
My question to the civil servants is, will Ikpeazu 10 million naira solve the pains and problems you have been through in the last three and half years?
Let me quickly recall that in the last three and half years, almost all the civil servants in every sector protested over non payments of their salaries.
Let me do flashback, in 2018, the staff of Abia State owned University teaching hospital, Aba protested and cursed Ikpeazu over non-payment of their 9months salary.
The demonstration was staged Inside the premises of the hospital.
Also, in terms of infrastructure, Ikpeazu has not done well.
Let me also draw your mind to the Osisoma Flyover being constructed by Ikpeazu for over three years now.
Despite his promise that the flyover will be completed in January 2019, the truth is that the project has been abandoned.
When it comes to good road, hospital, empowering the farmers, Ikpeazu has not delivered also.
I don't know any reason a true Abia State born should want Ikpeazu to return to the Government House when he has failed to deliver half of the promises he made in 2015.
If you come to Ebonyi State, you will see what Umahi did in terms of infrastructure . He built many flyovers, good roads and empowered farmers. That's what I expected Ikpeazu to do.
Let me make it clear that I'm not from Abia State and didn't receive a dime to pen down this article but as a journalist, I know it is imperative to speak against evils, injustice, hunger, etc when I see them.

As soon as Innoson established itself as a known automobile manufacturing brand in Africa with huge market base, they should venture into the aviation industry for the building of planes. The market for air travel in Africa is very bright. ONE NIGERIA IS DEAD! Wan Naijeriya is NOT dead. It is alive, kicking the cake makers in the butt.Heil the Fulani Republic of Naijeriya, FRN aka BuhariStan. www.nairaland.com/attachments/3937527_buharisardauna_jpegcb12decad1bd9dd31b45d009f2877b1fcomos: The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, on Friday justified the arrest of only suspects of Yoruba extraction over the recent clash in Ile-Ife, Osun State, which resulted in the death of about 46 persons. He said crime neither has tribe nor identity.
Idris spoke with State House correspondents shortly after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari of security situations in parts of the country inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The police had been in the eye of the storm for arresting and parading 20 Yoruba persons, including a monarch, over the clash while not a single Hausa/Fulani person was detained.
The pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere; and the Oodua Peoples Congress are among groups and individuals that have been criticising the police over the development.
Idris however said the police would not hesitate to apply the law once criminal cases are established against individuals, irrespective of their tribe.
He said, “You know we are police officers. Crime has no tribe. If you are a criminal, you are a criminal.
“Crime has no face. We don’t look at crime in the identity of where you are coming from.
“As far as you are a criminal and the police find you wanting, we apply the law.”
He said investigation had revealed that the crisis started with a disagreement between two people selling food along the road.

After 50 years of Independence, the government of the so called disadvantaged regions ought to have done something to address the situation. You cannot continue to spoon-feed a child and expect that same child to grow, mature and be independent. A student from Abia scores 130 in the Federal Commonwealth Entrance exam, yet it's almost impossible to gain admission in the school of his choice, yet another child from Zamfara will score less than 5 and gain same admission seamlessly. How do you encourage such a child that hard work and merit pays?
Look at all the appointments the president has made so far, over 90% from the north. They are telling us they are based on merit. My question is how comes, when it comes to appointment, they are hiding under merit to appoint only their own, but when it comes to exams and admission into Federal institutions, they bring in Federal character. I'm an advocate of merit, hardwork, transparency, objectivity and emperical selection process. That way you encourage everybody to work hard for whatever he/she wants. After all, the Bible says, "he who does not work, let him not eat". It's against natural and spiritual justice and principle to take from those who work and give to those who don't work. That in itself is the root of corruption Nigeria. I support the President's fight against corruption.
I advocate the enthronement of merit and objectivity in our national life. So, Mr. President, if you are serious about your anti-corruption mantra, If you are serious about this your new "merit" policy, let's go back to the basis. Start by eliminating all forms of quota system and federal character in the admission process into Unity schools, Federal universities and recruitment/employment into all federal civil service, agencies, parastatals and let's see who will be qualified. That's my humble submission. |

For instance, I am in France, internet seem to be nothing here, telephone calls too, text messages. But in Nigeria, this is not the case. People pay high too for internet but get poor network, data that gets exhausted within hours.
You want us to keep living this way? Can you compare it's risk to the risk of driving from Abuja to Enugu or Lagos? How about the risk of driving from Abuja to Kaduna? Which one poses more risk than the other? 5G or the ones I mentioned? Bonjour monsieur. Merci beaucoup. |
