SyrusdeHansome: ASO ROCK FACEOFF, COULD NNAMDI KANU BE RIGHT ABOUT BUHARI’S DEATH? Even in the face of glaring failures in handling security challenges in the country along with united call for the sacking of security chiefs, the presidency insists their removal is not possible, arguing that it will jeopardize national security. How can the sacking of inefficient officers who have failed woefully in their duties, whose tenure of service have expired, jeopardize national interest? What exactly is this national interest? There is clearly something they are not telling us. General Ihejirika was removed. It was good for national interest. I'm beginning to toe the line of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, that there's a top secret. It appears those privy to this top secret, who themselves worked together to hatch it, have the nation shared among themselves. The service chiefs along with Defense minister are allotted military spending. There are others who are getting hush pay offs, and it seems to me Aisha Buhari is in this list. It seems to me Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is aware too. It seems to me Laetitia Dagan was assassinated because she stumbled into the secret. It seems to me Miyetti Allah, the umbrella body of Fulani herdsmen and the leadership of Boko Haram is in the know. It seems to me more money is wasted trying to keep this secret than anything else. So terror organizations in the country are emboldened in their attacks, and rather than deal with them ruthlessly, as Buhari was known to taunt, they are petted. Following the altercations between Monguno and Kyari, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has reiterated that Buhari was long dead and buried in Saudi Arabia, and that Abba Kyari is the president of Nigeria. Definitely whoever that has taken the place of commander in chief has no power over the service chiefs. And my suspicion is heightened by the strategy by which all sensitive positions of government and security agencies are headed by people of the same tribe and religion. It seems to me it has something to do with keeping the secret a secret. I am tempted to agree with the Kanu assertion. Buhari was said to have returned to Nigeria from a London hospital that time. But he was kept incommunicado. No one saw him. The presidency said he will continue his rest and recovery from his home in Daura, and argued he can rule from anywhere. It didn't go down well with the social media army, and that was when the use of the term 'Presidency' became prominent. Shortly after that, he purportedly went to London again for his routine medical checkup. The next we saw is a brand new rejuvenated totally transformed Buhari who have no need of Medicare anymore. Looks obviously younger. Completely not in control of government. Those who lobby for political appointments pay huge to third parties in Aso rock, and whoever these third parties anoint gets through. And just as the service chiefs are irreplaceable, Magu, the EFCC chairman could not be substituted. Not even his serial rejection by the Saraki led senate could force his substitution by the presidency. It seems to me once you are privy to the grand secret you are forever in, and no power can change your place. That the country is run by a cabal is not disputable. That unexplainable action of government in covering, protecting and empowering terrorists is clear to all. That there is an agenda to loot the nation dry and deliberately destroy it is an open secret. That terrorists are running the show is a fact. That someone who is not elected is the supreme authority in the country is a fact. And I dare say that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu may be right after all. JAWBONE: The rumour that Buhari is indirectly strengthening these terrorists is becoming real by the day. Boko Haram attacks is now a daily occurence and they always leave better than they came. Capture people for ransom money, vehicles for their operations, arms and ammunitions to make them stronger. Yet Buhari's response is to look away www.nairaland.com/attachments/6559819_img20180116131338_jpeg5eb7dd60f62d45b4c01a8e0a67f66174joshchisimdi: Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria's former President who spoke at the 2nd session of the Synod held at the Cathedral Church of St.Paul’s Anglican Church, Oleh in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, stated that Buhari's government strengthened Boko Haram by paying ransoms. The former President who warned that every insecurity situation in Nigeria must be taken seriously and be addressed at once without favouritism or cuddling, spoke on the topic, “Mobilizing Nigeria’s human& natural resources for national development and stability”.
Admitting that Boko Haram and herdsmen acts of violence were not treated as they should at the beginning, Obasanjo stated that Buhari's government strengthened Boko Haram by paying ransoms which they have continuously denied. He said;
“They have both incubated and developed beyond what Nigeria can handle alone. They are now combined and internationalized with ISIS in control. It is no longer an issue of lack of education and lack of employment for our youths in Nigeria which it began as, it is now West African fulanization, African Islamization and global organized crimes of human trafficking, money laundering, drug trafficking, gun trafficking, illegal mining and regime change.
“Yet, we could have dealt with both earlier, and nip them in the bud, but Boko Haram boys were seen as rascals not requiring serious attention in administering holistic measures of stick and carrot. And when we woke up to the reality, it was turned to industry for all and sundry to supply materials and equipment that were already outdated and that were not fit for active military purpose.
“Soldiers were poorly trained for the unusual mission, poorly equipped, poorly motivated, poorly led and made to engage in propaganda rather than achieving results. Intelligence was poor and governments embarked on games of denials while paying ransoms which strengthened the insurgents and yet governments denied payments of ransoms. Today, the insecurity issue has gone beyond the wit and capacity of Nigerian Government or even West African Governments”.

Izigha: A lot of guys outside the country will run to Nigeria with that amount of money. It also good to travel as a young man. Split the money in half and travel. If you make it to the US, forget entertainment, the competition is cutthroat, it can even take you 3 year just to get your accent in check. Learn a trade 1_2 years Auto or HVAC you will be alright. Most importantly dno rush into marriage, study the system before you marry. Good advice from an experienced veteran |

BryanG: 1. Hold your 20m very well, and continue doing your business if it’s genuine business. 2. Enroll to start a part-time degree program immediately at a university closes to your business 3. But if you have the time and brain, enroll to start an external degree program at a university abroad. That way u don’t have to leave Nigeria and your business for school . 4. When u have the degree, you can decide whether u wanna relocate to the USA maybe for masters. If u get a foreign degree, u could land a job with it when you relocate. 5. Building a house in your hometown is not the best idea, except you have excess money. 6. Leaving your biz for USA to start afresh is a bit risky, except your absolutely sure. Having trusted relatives who can help you with accommodation until you find your feet can help. 7. Always a good idea to have an option of staying abroad in case Nigeria fails. There too much uncertainty here. Even if he has excess money there are better, more productive things to do with the excess than build a wasting asset in a hometown. How about renovating his primary school, secondary school etc in the hometown? Clinic, hospital, library? Won't they add more value to his life and the lives of everyone in the hometown than a building that will be used maybe 10% (37 days) in a year at most? The too much uncertainty here is promoted by people wasting money on hometown houses they will hardly use while there are more beneficial things to spend "excess" money on. |

IMASTEX: The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Thursday said it has so far recovered over N60 billion from erring banks as excessive charges imposed on customers. The bank also said it has equally returned same amount to the affected customers.
This is just as the Apex Bank has announced that it had commenced the processes for creation of 10 million jobs in the next five years through investment support in agriculture, using 10 commodity models.
Speaking during a two-day customers sensitisation forum in Owerri, the Imo State capital, the CBN Director of Corporate Communications, Mr. Isaac Okoroafor said the recovery of the excess bank charges was made possible through the bank’s Consumer Protection Department.
According to him, the amount was recovered following complaints by 13,000 customers over excess and illegal charges on their accounts by banks. As big as nairaland is with almost 2.5m users, don't we have some of the 13,000 bank customers who have received the returned billions www.nairaland.com/attachments/2113645_img20150118121029_jpegb75ccb2c36d55dee793021a54de6408e |

Timijo: This is the disparity between Nigerians and the sane Whites. A few weeks ago when the news of the death of that DJ broke the internet, many people here jumped into a wrong conclusion. They said that his death was from fellow Nigerians, some even said that he was into drugs and some concluded that he was probably killed by a rival just because they saw the picture of a white lady. All the nonsense were said without any investigation. On the other hand, the Turkish Police Force took their time to investigate the matter and caught those who are connected to his death. Can you see pure sanity? The distance between Nigeria and the developed countries is measureless. Since we don't want to think and work, we are left with prayers and assumptions that are meaningless for the most part. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4138528_fbimg1471362711749_jpeg32428b294a57b4debde63e3fd7301227 |

On the other side, the major con is In the fact that Aristocratic style of government will be built in so many states of the nation (Africans way) again and thereby, draw them 106 years back...
