Terry MacMillan is a author that doesn work orr need to work with white dominated and controled business world like maya angelou.

Oh! you are not a fan all of a sudden lol!

Indians are worse than white people so I am not surprised.

If you get hired for your appearance then you have NOTHING to offer in the first place.  You don't get hired in the corporate world for your looks unless you are going for an EASY, DISPENSABLE ROLE.  I know what I am talking about, do you think headhunters will not hire someone because of their hair and colour? Its all down to supply and demand.

Racism was invented in England, they colonised the Yanks and taught them all the tricks, I know the game backwards.
look nolongthing, it is what is. The corporate world will never hire a black women with a afro or dreads to represent their company, it is sad but the truth

So when I say I followed her career that means I am a fan of hers to you, when I have followed some other peoples careers but are not really their fans. There is a difference between being a fan and knowing about somebodies career. So I guess this quote means I am a fan to you of her lol. When I say I am a fan of somebody I will tell you and if I never said it I am not a fan, then I am not so don't twist my words.

I know Erykad badu wears wigs now but there was a time in her career she was all natural with her hair, on natural hair sites, it was claimed when she took that Picture which was years ago that her hair was real, especially when she was going through her natural hair  phase. Those pictures you posted of her now wearing wigs and weaves is nothing . I followed Erykah badu's career from the beginning from the 90's(due to the fact that I have a erykah badu fanatic as a friend) and she used to wear her hair natural from natural hair and dreads until she cut her hair and started wearing it out bald or wore wigs. So that picture is not recent from what I understood, and kenyanlady did it out of spite not because she saw something that I didn't see

In the picture you posted Eryka Badu was wearing a wig, its obvious! Yes she did have DREADLOCKS in the late 90s.

My source is the website of Eryka herself, since your a fan go to her site and confirm it yourself:

http://www.erykah-badu.com/      then check out her gallery.

As for Baby Simmons, I clearly said that she hot-combed her hair and the picture looked photoshoped – thats all.
I'm not a fan of Erykah Badu but I have a friend that is a fan and I remember when she first came out, well whatever I got the picture of her and her afro hair style from a black natural or sista hair site for black women who wear their natural hair saying that was her hair, thats where I will end it because this threads intention is to post natural black hair. If it's a mistake oh well, that was not my intention of posting it

No I don't work for a white man, my boss is actually indian but the corporate world has alot to to with it, they won't hire women with their hair natural and un-straightened, that's just the way it is. The only black females I see at corporate tend to have weave, their hair is natural but straightened like Michelle Obama, and at times pretty braids but afro's and dreads no

I am not disputing anything the man says in his video but if a black woman wants to get hired for a job, they better not be coming in with a afro and dreads, especially in America. You are in England so maybe you don't get the racial atmosphere that goes on in America. It's sad but the truth, until I see corporate America becoming less white dominated and more free of racial bias then I will see more black women being hired with their natural hair & not straightened, but that day is not here. Until then we may know the truth but if we want a job NO afro's or dreads; even though I feel it is beautiful. I have heard my non-white friends speak badly of dreads and make fun of afro's, I ahd to correct them nicely but in America it's hard. Afro's at least in America are accepted as a 70's flash back/black power african american movement to non- black Americans but they won't accept it in the work place but Dreads, americans look down on that

that picture from what I understood was her wearing her natural afro hair, if you think it's a wig fine but that picture from what I understood was years ago when she was in her natural hair phase. You questioned Angela Simmons but the article says differently, so I go by natural hair sites and sources. If you don't believe it then there is nothing I can do about that

Kelis has always cut and grown out her hair but when she grows it out it is real and it grows out faster then other black females because her mother is not black: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelis#Early_life
mixed black females hair grow out faster, especially if their hair isn't coarse

well in America, weave is the order of the day for most black women 24/7 sadly, but I won't penalize black women at the same time that do it because I mentioned in the first pages of the thread that their are many issues why this is going on and many of the reasons are due to outside factors when it comes to getting a job, sadly many black men prefer weave then natural hair like afro's on Black women and etc especially in America.

In the corporate world they would rather hire a black woman with straight hair whether weave or her natural hair(she either straighten by hot comb or relaxed) then a woman with her natural hair, un-straightened in afro style. It is sad but a fact
Fashion › Re: Black Women Rocking Their Natural Hair by anonymous6(op): 1:55pm On Oct 05, 2011
@nolongthing
That is angela simmons & her natural hair, and all black womens natural hair comes out like that texture and form whether it is in the form of a afro or not(unless she straighten it), the article is in the bottom, so check it out. so it's irrelevant about how long it took for a person to grow out a afro or whatever because that was never her intention to have one but since she is black american and her natural hair came out like that when she took out her weave, that isn't a afro.

also where are the fake afro weaves because the sites I got them from are natural hair sites(meaning no weaves, wigs or fake hair), & angela simmons hair length from the bottom of the hair is the same length as hers the only difference is angela simmons hair is not a afro since she has never styled her hair as one, never trimmed it or conditioned it to grow out correctly as a afro as the black women with the afro in the video did(which was mentioned in the video you posted). Black women could tell the difference between that woman in the video is a good afro compared to angela simmons where her hair is just puffed out like that after taking out her weave. if angela simmons wanted a afro, for sure her hair will have to be trimmed because her hair length is all over the place from the top of the hair to the bottom of the hair.

here is the article again about Angela Simmons natural hair, which isn't a afro: http://brownsugamag.onsugar.com/We-Wear-Weaves-Because-We-want-18792881

Also I need to educate you on something there are different types of afro's, for example curly, straight, blown out or not, and etc; which one does the one in the video have because a curly afro(jill scott has a curly afro and it is natural and at one point longer then the female in the video, so do you get the point) is different from a straight or non curly afro, and way this is one of the natural hair sites that I got most of my afro pictures that are natural: http://www.blackwomennaturalhairstyles.com/

Jill Scotts, kelis(she is mixed), & etc with their natural hair, and jill scotts curly afro is real

The Top 10 Sexiest Natural Afro Hair Styles…
http://charcoal-ink.com/2009/01/22/fashion-notes-the-top-10-sexiest-natural-afro-hair-styles/

Jill scott plus the other naturals are in the list, and Jill Scott looks longer then the female in the video but since Jill Scott has curly vs the female that has straight afro I wonder if it makes a difference(which i think it does)

Celebrities › Angela Simmons Shows Off Her Natural Hair by anonymous6(op): 1:38pm On Oct 05, 2011
"Check out Angela Simmons natural hair after taking out her weave; now we as black women some times we get criticized for wearing weaves. Its not because we are bald headed or anything like that, weaves enhance our over all appearance. Its like carrying a hand bag or buying a pair of shoes. You can were a weave if you want to were your hair a little bit longer or shorter than your natural hair. You can try new looks on your face before you actually try it on our real hair, there are tons of reasons why women were weaves but just so everyone has it clear we do it because we want to,

For those who have medical issues that result in needing a weave makes it all the more why no one should comment negatively on women wearing weaves, "

looks good, I know what you mean about the fired meats most of the meat I eat is also boiled (followed by baked then fried meats) but I tend to put it in stew soup and etc; but I just get used to Nigerians liking fried meats so I just assumed it was your thing but that is good though, we don't want artery cloggers. Any way the chicken looks good

Do you eat Nigerian fish soup, especially with tilapia, it's delicious. Actually my favorite, I have a thing for seafood like fish
