nikkyshyne: But seriously, these paparazzi should get a life. They caused the death of Diana. I see nothing wrong in her bathing un-clad in the presence of her husband though.

Donal trump, I will soon stop following that guy on twitter. His tweets are so full of criticism. Anti-Obama.
I see nothing wrong with what kate did in general with her husband but when you are in the public eye, in a balcony knowing your pictures will be taken, you need to watch out. When it comes to Donald trump though that man is a complete butt head, and doesn't like Obama and uses excuses as to why he does from birthiers to other things and etc.

afam4eva: What exactly are comparing? is it their acting skills, physique or looks? Putting up their pics will go a long way.
I think she is comparing looks, with acting it will be obvious who is the winner

jennykadry: Honestly she should have been more careful. These paprazzi's can go any length to get what they want, she should known better.

Nevertheless it was just wrong " invading ones privacy "
You took the words right out of my mouth, i think Kate Middleton is a beautiful person and respectful person but she should have known better this is common sense especially since she is a public figure, even though what the paparazzi did is wrong. I don't think these pictures will define her but they will be in history books about her for life, the same with prince harry, those pictures are not going any where.

"Kate Middleton’s topless photos were taken without her permission but were the product of her own ignorance, at least that’s the message being delivered by Donald Trump.

Trump on Monday sent out the following tweet:

“Kate Middleton is great–but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude–only herself to blame” and “Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!”

While Donald Trump was correct in his assessment that Middleton was outside sunbathing without a top on, he fails to mention in his tweets that a photographer used a long-lens camera to capture her from more than half-mile away.

The Kate Middleton topless photos were taken from a private resident she was sharing with husband Prince William.

Donald Trump is no stranger to attacking random people for the purpose of gaining press coverage. Typically the billionaires attacks however are directed towards people who actually deserve the criticism or Rosie O’Donnell.

Attacking a British royal during a presidential election cycle probably isn’t the best idea, while he may not be running for President Donald Trump has been supporting Mitt Romney and with Romney’s support already horrendous following his London Olympics comments the Donald’s comments could bite the GOP in the butt.

Do you think Kate Middleton was ultimately responsible for the naked photos that were taken of her breasts or was her privacy grossly violated thanks to the use of a long-distance lens?"

Culture › Re: Why Do Africans Look At Black Americans As A Source Of Shame? by anonymous6(f):
pleep: anyway some Africans look down on black Americans for the same reason some black Americans look down on Africans. No one wants to be at the bottom of the food chain grin

The reason ur on this site is to make Africans accept that black Americans are superior to them. Newsflash: thts never going to happen in a million yrs. Immagine trying to convince a.a's that Africans are better than them lol!
That's where it boils down to

It will never happen From both sides because none will see one group superior over the other and they shouldn't have to, since there are accomplishments from both communities. AA's and africans are different groups now(despite both being racially black)and should embrace their own culture and values without intrusion from the other groups. AA's shouldn't care what africans think about them and africans shouldn't care what AA's see about them as well, each community progress on their own and leave the rest.

Ptolomeus: The Brazilian akara made from a type of bean, called (feijao fradinho). Should be peeled and then crushed. With that dough is prepared the "mass", which is fry in palm oil. When served, the Akara is cut longitudinally, and at its center are added some vegetables and shrimp. You can also add hot sauce containing Allspice (pimienta malagueta).
Actually, the bare stage of the beans does not seduce women today (lol), so I've only seen preparing for old Bahian ("Bahian of acarajé) dressed in their costumes, or in restaurants.
Thank you very much for your kindness and affection, which is mutual!
thanks for the info, you welcome

odumchi: You're right. Living in Nigeria can be very enjoyable if you have enough cash. A middle class American living in a house with a picket fence, a car, and a garage could easily own a large house and a large compound in Nigeria.
True
Culture › Re: Are One In Three Africans Really Middle Class? - CNN by anonymous6(op): 7:28pm On Sep 06, 2012
odumchi: The term "middle class" fluctuates in meaning from place to place. For example, a middle class American would probably be considered an upper class Nigerian and vise versa.

It's interesting to see how this definition changes across continents. However, if spending between 2 to 20 dollars a day qualifies one as a member of the African middle class, then maybe.
True, it can go both ways, for example in Nigeria a Nigerian of that social class can afford a house girl, driver and etc but in America most middle class can't afford that . I remember I was reading some where where a American was surprised how non-wealthy Nigerians/ghanians, and etc can afford house girl and driver, and etc. He connected that with being only for rich, was surprised how some middle class Nigerian were living, and thought they were living better as middle class then ones in America, which he had points. Some middle class in Nigeria are living better then ones in America at times, due to how both societies are structured

Celebrities › Re: Yvonne Nelson & Mzbel Fight For Ice-Prince by anonymous6(f): 6:10pm On Sep 06, 2012
Rudebwoy: According to what Ghana Celebrities reported, two top Ghanaian celebrities, Yvonne Nelson and Mzbel are at loggerheads with each other over Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince, who may not know that they exist or aware that both ladies are fighting over him after allegedly fathering a child out of wedlock.
It was reported that Mzbel had disclosed to a mutual friend of both celebs about how Yvonne is dying to make Ice Prince notice her and maybe go down low with him. This mutual friend then reportedly told Yvonne about what Mzbel said about Yvonne behind her.

Not happy with the way Mzbel allegedly back-stabbed her, Yvonne was accused of doing what Ruggedman reportedly did to 9ice during their hyped 'fight' by recording her conversation with Mzbel, when she (Mzbel) later reportedly called to apologise for her wrong doing and also explain that the mutual friend had added some spices to exaggerate the real gist to make it look offensive.

The recorded conversation, as reported, was sent out on BlackBerry to some friends by Yvonne, which has reportedly been used as ringtones in Ghana.

It was also reported that Yvonne accused Mzbel of getting jealous of her success and beauty. There have been talks that Yvonne lives with her parents in a rented apartment in Dansoman, Ghana while her over hyped boutique is said to be a cheap 'container shop'.

There are reports that one of the parties has threatened to ruin the career of the other. Will this end here? Maybe when Ice Prince settles the fracas in whatever way he can.

You will recall that not too long ago, there were rumour that Yvonne was in a sizzling romance with 'Kukere' master, Iyanya, which was denied. http://m.naij.com/news/7758.html
ridiculous; both may never even get with him after all this
Culture › Are One In Three Africans Really Middle Class? - CNN by anonymous6(op): 5:50pm On Sep 06, 2012
"(CNN) -- One out of three Africans are now middle class, according to a new report -- but can that really be true?

A report released last week by the African Development Bank (AFDB) said that Africa's middle class -- defined as people spending between $2 and $20 a day at 2005 prices -- increased to 34.3% of the continent's population in 2010 -- nearly 313 million people.

"The malls that you see mushrooming everywhere, the cars that you see in the roads, the traffic jams in Lagos, Johannesburg, Nairobi -- that speaks of a growing middle class," says Mthuli Ncube, chief economist and vice president of the AFDB.

He also notes that this bourgeoning middle class can lure and reward international investors looking to tap the continent's growing economy.

It's a call to say 'look, please invest in Africa, there are good returns,'" he says. "Africa is there for everyone to invest and look at."

The figure is a marked improvement on previous years, compared to about 111 million middle class Africans, or 26.2% of the population, in 1980, 151 million or 27% in 1990 and 196 million or 27.2% in 2000.

However, "The Middle of the Pyramid: Dynamics of the Middle Class in Africa" report also underlines that the overall number of people defined as middle class includes large numbers of a "floating class" -- individuals with per-capita expenditure levels of $2 to $4 per day.

Some 180 million people fit in this vulnerable category, facing the possibility of sliding back below the developing-world poverty line of $2 per person per day.

But for some analysts, setting the middle class spending threshold at just $2 per day is simply too low.

"Two dollars a day, to call that a middle class, I think it's a stretch concept," says Thandika Mkandawire, a professor of African Development at the London School of Economics.

"You don't expect the income of the middle class in Africa to be the same as the United States, but it shouldn't be so overstretched that it may lose its meaning," he adds, noting that the African middle class should define itself not only in relation to the continent but also in relation to international standards of consumption.

According to the AFDB report, members of Africa's growing middle class are better educated than their poor counterparts and tend to have salaried jobs or small businesses.

They are also likely to have fewer children as well as own major household durable goods.

"Sales of refrigerators, television sets, mobile phones, motors and automobiles have surged in virtually every country in recent years," the report notes, citing an 81% increase in possession of cars and motors in Ghana since 2006.

But some economists stress that the focus on consumption as a measure of economic growth can be misleading, arguing that a model that is not based on production cannot be sustainable.

"If Wal-Mart goes to China to buy goods, it goes to Africa to sell goods, and that's a problem," says Mkandawire, who is the former director of the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development.

"When we talk about China, we don't talk about China as a consumer society as much as we talk about it as a producing society. The evidence for Africa is that the current boom is not generating much employment," he explains.
The more important thing countries should look at is investment and employment expansion rather than consumption," he says.

The report found that North African countries had the highest proportion of middle class people. Nearly 90% of Tunisians, almost 85% of Moroccans and almost 80% of Egyptians were deemed middle class.

Ncube says the emergence of the middle class is connected with the recent social unrest across North Africa.

"These are people who are enlightened, who are informed, who are plugged into the global economy and understand the environment and the global forces that play, so they are then most likely to self-organize," he says.

In contrast, countries with the lowest proportion of middle class people included Mozambique, Madagascar, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi and Liberia.

The AFDB report also warns of a massive lag between the continent's rich and poor. It said that around 61% of Africa's population fell below the $2 poverty line and 44% below the $1.25 poverty line.

Meanwhile, about 100,000 Africans had a net worth of $800 billion in 2008, or about 60% of the continent's GDP.

Ncube says inequality will only be dealt if African countries promote more growth that generates employment.

"Quite clearly, create jobs is the way to go," he says, calling for promotion of private sector entrepreneurship and improvement of the quality of education.

"It's really about jobs, it's about small-medium scale enterprises, it's about investment climate, it's about promoting the private sector," says Ncube"

Cosign 100%, however there are still some with their women. In the end of the day though it will always be a african american problem, some of them have been conditioned to follow that trend, which in directly weakens their community, to me they are on their own with that issue.
