Celebrities › Re: D'banj Dropped From Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music? by anonymous6(f): 5:11pm On Jul 24, 2012
invectives: If the latest development at Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music label could be read different meanings to, then, it might be a fresh trouble for D'Banj. This is because the Kokomaster's name, who was reportedly signed on the label in 2011, was missing in the latest Complex Magazine cover that featured the label's artistes.

In the August-September 2012 issue of the magazine, G.O.O.D Music artistes; Kanye West, John Legend, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Q-Tip, Common, Big Sean and 2 Chainz were featured but D'Banj's name or picture was no where to be found.

Some have already started asking questions about the true status of the Nigerian music star in G.O.O.D Music label. Others have asked if D'Banj has now been dumped by Kanye West? For some time now, D'Banj has frequented Nigeria unlike when it was believed that he would spend most of his G.O.O.D Music time in America, where the label is based.

But in a twist, he became a regular in London after his reported Mercury label deal.

In 2012, D'Banj and Don Jazzy parted ways after it was reportedly that both stars were signed by Kanye West into his label.

Some have opined that time will unravel the truth soon.

CAMEROONPRIDE: how do you fix it when all they care about is going to french ,etc.....to clean toilets and streets when their own are dirty ..and yet Cameroon has a good cleaning company (hysacam which hire regularly...) Africans complain alot but you want the reward without the work ,,,do you think that the germans who benefits of the modern germany are those who rebuilt it after the WWII i don't think so ..same with japan....Africans are lazy (blame the t.v and those who are abroad who make them think that europe is a paradise) no one want to work for his country ..... ....our generations don't want to work...
I don't think it is laziness, it is the fact that they don't see a gain in it, Africans want to see the fruits of their labor(which is understandable) and when governments are making the system like that in such a way where the citizens can have that reassurance, they will be less inclined to do so. That is why many Africans(mostly of poor back ground) today go to first world for a decade or more, then come back with their hard earned money to build a house, business, and etc. That is what is happening right now, African governments need to do their countries systems in such a way that these Africans don't need to travel overseas and accumulate in foreign land just to do things to progress their own homeland. Germany and Japan(eventually) learned to make their systems in such a way where their citizens can build in their own land without going overseas. India(caste system) and some other countries are going through the same thing as what is going on in African countries

ogugua88: If price is an issue, then women should wear their natural hair. What some women spend in one day for weave installation, a natural woman can use that to buy hair products for six months.
They have White Nigerians? huh huh huh
No, not in the way you may look at it lol. Their are whites in Nigeria who work in foreign companies or in foreign embassies from the UK, America and etc but actually citizens like it is in South Africa where their are white citizens/communities in the country after many generations No, Nigeria doesn't have white communities that have been there for many generations like it is in South Africa. So the term white Nigerians doesn't really exist but their are white people who born their kids in Nigeria and then after a few years move their kids back to their homelands, so those children in directly become citizens of Nigeria but are not original natives of the country. For example the actor by the name of Hugo Weaving that starred in the movie Matrix and Lord of the rings was born in Nigeria from white British parents but isn't a native of the country technically: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Weaving#Early_li

Nigerians don't use the term white Nigerians it doesn't exist, at least to the government but I have heard this label used once on one white guy born in Nigeria from foreign parents on Youtube, here are the videos

onila: gosh horrible! undecided undecided

no pepper, no extra spice

the only good food in the world is Nigeria, ethiopian, chinese, thai food tongue

and yea italian pasta
Ok even though Chinese, Thai and Italian are not black cultural foods, I won't deny that their foods are good but their are other cultural cuisines besides the ones you listed that are good to. However For me Ethiopian is not my top 5 but their food is good though. You should expand your options though their are good foods out there though.

antitpiah: Thats your opinion. I am just glad the rest of humanity doesnt agree with your deluded assessment. You call Nigerian delicacies food? You need your head checked. No wonder you all look like men; Morning, fufu; Afternoon; Eba; Evening, drink garri; Night, pounded yam. Where is the balanced diet in that. Not to even talk about the after-meal taste the food leaves in your mouth, so disgusting.
ok what I conclude from both you and Onila is both of you have different taste, which is fine. This is not a contest at all just what is your favorite black cultural foods. However I must also add to your comment despite Nigerians eating Fufu, Eba, garri many of them are fit in Nigeria because they work in the sun. Do you know many Nigerians who live in the village as farmers depend on that and are as fit as a fiddle, and the women don't look like men. I have eaten those foods since I was young in the western world mind you and I don't look like a man, however I don't eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner though. Also I would like to add that Nigerians have other cuisines like different plaintain meals, rice meals, moi moi, different stews from Egusi to just simple stew soup, ogi, and Nigerians eat fruits and vegetables alot like sugar cane, banana's, and other tropical foods

I prefer Nigerian meat pie to Jamaican meat pies tho, I feel like Nigerian's meat P has more taste and more ingredients in it.
You have a point, One thing about Nigerian meat pie is they put more things in it besides meat, like peppers, peas, carrots, potatoes and make it spicy and tasty so I agree.

MsDarkSkin: OMG!!! you are making me HUNGRY!! grin grin I agree we do have the best food in the caribbean. smiley

I read somewhere that Nigeria has it's own "beef patty"...

i think its called "meat pie". smiley

Is it any good? cheesy I want to try one!

Well mostly Central American, Cuban, Puerto Rican and Dominican.
We LITERALLY eat the same foods we just name them and prepare them differently
for example cod fish is a delicacy in all Caribbean islands and in spanish speaking
islands its called bacalao.

The African influence on Caribbean food is obvious in our stews and soups.
They usually have a LOT of meat!! cheesy Good stuff!!

Here is a picture of Puerto Rican Bacalao stew (bacalao = cod fish)

https://s4.hubimg.com/u/596111_f520.jpg

I LOOOOOOVE cod fish!!! cheesy
Yes we call it meat pie, and it is good the problem is some Nigerians know how to cook it good, some are ok and some are just plain disgusting
meat pie

The bacalao stew looks similar to our fish stew, we mostly put either tilapia, Cat fish and other fishes

Home cooked Jamaican food is much better than the restaurants

Real Jamaican meals are prepared the night before so as to have the meat properly marinated!! cheesy

Beef Patties & Jerk Chicken!! cheesy cheesy (among others)
