Chimamanda Adichie has disowned some write-ups supporting the current Biafran Agitation which were attributed to her, Viviangist reports.

Adichie said this in a Facebook post on Monday, the 4th day of September, 2017.

The headline of one of such false write-ups read, ‘Enough of this Political Correctness, I am a Biafran and Nothing Else- Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’

She dropped a picture of one of such headlines and wrote, “This headline below, and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites: are false. They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me. I did not say or write those words.”

Organisation petitions EFCC over the use of constituency funds for Campaign

A non governmental organisation - Anambra Conscience Movement has petitioned the economic and financial commission EFCC over the use of constituency fund to finance elections by some legislators in the state.

In a letter addressed to EFCC which Viviangist exclusively obtained, they disclosed that some members of the national Assembly are campaigning in their various parties for the tickets.

That they have observed that some of these members of National Assembly are utilizing and diverting funds meant for their constituency projects for election campaigns"

The group further said that:

..these aspirants have bought and shared to party officials across the state just to induce them to vote for them at the primaries of their parties and we have traced these funds to funds allocated in the budget 2015 and 2016 for execution of constituency projects.

Those accused of diverting constituency project funds by the group are:

Sen Stella Odua of PDP
Sen Andy Ubah of APC
Hon Tony Nwoye of APC
Linda Ikpeazu of PDP
