Gov. Obiano breaks history, promotes all staff due for promotion in Anambra from 2014 till date

The National Union of Nigerian Teachers ( NUT) today endorsed His Excellency chief, Dr. Willie Obiano ( Odogwu Omambala ) for a second term in office during the celebration of her NUT world day held at the Teachers Institutes Centre , Awka

The teachers described governor Obiano as educational loving governor , for his concerns in education and welfare of teachers especially as it regards the prompt payment of teacher's salaries .(Alert Governor)

Another good news arising from today's NUT world day is that a teacher from Anambra state won an award at the eagle square , Abuja as the best teacher in Nigeria , just like Anambra has being taking first position iin both west African and national examinations .

Viviangist reports that Gov. Obiano today announced that he will employ 5000 teachers by the end of this year .

He added that he just signed the promotion of all staff due for promotion in Anambra state between 2014 till date . It means that by 25th of this month the salary of workers shall change in a higher proportion .

Nigeria's minister of state for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has alleged insubordination of Maikanti Baru who is the group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in a letter written to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kachikwu accused Baru of undermining his office. See the seven allegations in Kachikwu's letter to the President:

1. Sidelining His Office

Kachikwu said since Baru’s assumption of office, he has failed to consult and carry him along in the activities of the corporation. He alleged that acts of misbehaviour by Baru were already hindering all the envisaged positive changes for the oil and gas sector.

2. Anti North Allegation

The minister said he had been accused of working against the north and also influencing the appointments of some persons. He denied the allegations and described himself as a “completely detribalised Nigerian”.

3. Appointment in NNPC without Due Process

The minister said he was not consulted in most of the appointments made by Baru. He said he learnt about them on social media or through press releases. Kachikwu explained that on one occasion, he held a meeting with the GMD to raise concerns about the appointments and also wrote a letter to him, but that Baru ignored him by making some changes without his involvement.

He appealed to the president to suspend these appointments.

4. Contracts award without due process

Kachikwu said against the rules, some major contracts were never reviewed or discussed with him or the board of NNPC. He listed some of the contracts as:

The crude Term contracts- value at over $10bn

The DSDP contracts – value over $5bn

The AKK pipeline contract- value approximately $3bn

Various financing allocation funding contracts with the NOCs- value over $3bn

Various NPDC production service contracts- value at over $3bn-$4bn

5. Conspiracy with Militants

In response to the above allegation, Kachikwu said: “nothing, your excellency, can be further from the truth”.

“I mention this because this will be the likely response you will receive to this attempt I am making to alert you on the state of affairs under the GMD’s leadership,” he wrote.

“I have done nothing during my time at the NNPC or the ministry that is corrupt or laced with any such intent. Anyone peddling any contrary information is resorting to cheap blackmail.”

6. Image of The NNPC and oil Industry

Kachikwu said the public impression about the NNPC is that of corruption and in-transparency in its activities.

He appealed to the president to instruct the GMD to leave the NNPC to run as a proper institution and report out along due process lines to the board.

“Given the history of malpractice and the public perception of the NNPC as having a history of non-transparency, the NNPC Tenders Board (NTB) cannot be the final clearance authority for clearance it enters into,” he said.

- The man held the Biafran flag as he was being honoured A Nigerian man has been given a Spanish prize for saving the life of a person.

The handsome young man was pictured holding the Biafran flag while he was being celebrated. The incredible news was shared on Facebook by Prince Richmond who did not fail to pour all sorts of adulation on the man who made Nigeria proud.

The young man was honoured at the palace fair in Malaga, Spain. Richmond who shared the good news made mention of what people see Biafrans as. He said they have been called terrorists even though they are saving lives. 

The Nigerian man who represented the nation well in Spain was honoured amidst cheers. Those present did not stop clapping until he had stepped down from the podium where he was given a certificate.

Super Biker Ogbonnaya Kanu Becomes The First Nigerian To Ride Solo To Cape Agulhas

Kanu, also known as Foto Dadi, recently became the first Nigerian to ride from Nigeria to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa. He has ridden motorcycles in 26 countries, using his own Nigerian-registered motorcycle in 23 of them. He sees biking as more than living a life of adventure and setting records, but also changing the way in which Nigerians are perceived.

In 2012, he became the first Nigerian biker to ride solo from Lagos, Nigeria to Austria, riding through France, Germany, Austria, and Italy. In mid-October, he embarked on another solo trip from South Africa to Lagos. He then became the first Nigerian member of the Iron Butt Association, also known as the World’s Toughest Motorcycle Riders, after biking 1,600 kilometers in 24 hours.

Kanu is the co-founder and member of the Board of Trustees of the Easy Riders Motorcycle Club of Nigeria, the first registered motorcycle club in Nigeria. He is also co-founder of the Ride Easy Motorcycle Training School, the Rise Easy Motorcycling Club of Lagos and the Superbike Clubs Association of Nigeria (SCAN) as well as the first and returning vice president of the Association of Nigerian Motorcycle Clubs.

When he is not undertaking some adventure, he works on perfecting his riding skills. He has taken a variety of courses in Europe, including BMW off-road skills and training at the California Superbike School in the United Kingdom.

According to Guardian, Peter Okoye of PSquare on Thursday apologised to fans over the recent disagreement that erupted between himself, his twin brother and members of his family.

In a short video he posted yesterday,(Which i am yet to see) Peter said: “We have resolved our issues and we beg for your forgiveness. I will take full responsibility of everything that has happened and I promise you that our problems are behind us now.”

Their lawyer, Festus Keyamo (SAN), had on Tuesday waded into the controversy, while appealing to the public to refrain from jumping into what he called uninformed conclusions about the musicians’ disagreement.

Keyamo added that while the brothers (including their manager Jude) may have genuine grievances, nobody’s life was at risk as claimed in media reports. “All the various incidents that happened in our chambers (some as late at 12 midnight and 2a.m. and one of which was captured in the online video) arose out of various meetings that were genuine attempts at resolving their differences.

“None of these talented brothers is at fault. None of them is also wholly justified and correct in their individual positions. We also wish to state categorically that, contrary to widely held opinions, none of their wives is at fault. In fact, the wives have kept their respectable and dignified distances from all the issues involved. They have never interfered in any way.”

It is said that he who it pinches harder cries out aloud, and that whatever makes a full man cry aloud has grown beyond his cap.

On that note, the people of Ebenator community in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, yell out for an immediate rescue as a leviathan erosion gully warms to wipe off the community.

The erosion gully, which is one of the (if not) the deepest and widest erosion gully in the entire Local Government area, and in the whole Anambra South senatorial zone in general, has witnessed its most dangerous escalation, following a heavy rain that badgered in the community last week. And this quivered the entire community as it hideously exposed the citizens to their untimely death.

According to an indigen of the town who simply himself as Mr. Okafor, this perilous erosion gully popularly known as 'Ibo Ebenator' has claimed many innocent lives of the industrious citizens, cracked and shoved down so many houses, destroyed farm crops and damaged so many other property worth millions of Naira.


"The erosion gully has pauperized a lot of people in this community, rendered many homeless and vagrant, even as it has destroyed crops and other property worth millions of Naira" Mr. Okafor said.

The erosion gully was said to have been commissioned in 2014 by the Anambra State government under Governor Willie Obiano to the tune of about N300 Million. But ever since then, after a few paroxysm of activities and a wee crude work at the site, the Consultant (Nest Engineering Ltd.) and the Contactor (Mastek Construction Ltd) handling the work left only their signboard at the site and disappeared to the air. And since that time the erosion gully has been left to the worst as it has now worn its most hideous outfit, pull down many houses, blocked many roads and even currently escalates to a death trap craving for blood. It has also claimed many lives in the past.

According to the President General of the town, Chief Cletus Esomonu, the erosion gully has its origin from Osumenyi and stretches down to the popular 'Ofala Okechukwu' river, and is about 100 ft deep from the normal topographical land surface. He said that even the deepest well in the community which was the first project constructed by the then British Government in the community is now under a serious threat as the erosion gully now escalates closer to it, and that this would be very dangerous to the indigenes of the community as unquenchable water may forever gush out of it when finally affected.


The PG also said that due to its recent escalations, the gully is now about to cut off the only tarred road in the community which would then amount to disintegration and fragmentation of the community as people from the other side would no longer cross to the other side.
The people of Ebenator Community in Nnewi South Local Government Area are therefore calling on the government at all level and the concerned authorities to as a matter of urgency quickly run to their rescue as this ferocious and dangerous erosion gully is about to swallow up or wipe out the community and its inhabitants.

The indigenes in conjunction with the traditional ruler of the community H.R.H. Igwe Chinewubeeze Ezejiburu also call upon governor Willie Obiano to please respond to the plight of the people and extend his giant developmental strides to the community as a popular Igbo adage says that ''e mee nwata ka e mere ibe ya, obi adị ya mma''.

This plea is further justified by the fact that for about three years now, there has never been a shine or even a scintillation of electric light in the Ebenator town as well as some other neighbouring communities in the Local Government area, even after series of complaints and letters to the men of the EEDC in charge of the zone.

Also the only access road to 'in and out' of the community which is Amannalu--Ebenator--Ukpor road is now in its ugliest and most shabby condition. Although the short road is said to be a federal road and is covered under the ''Ihembosi--Ozubulu--Ukpor--Ebenator--Osumenyi" road project which has been commissioned by the Federal Government; but since then, no sign of work is ongoing on any of these roads, thereby keeping the people in hopeless condition. Even the Ofala Ebe Bridge in the community was also said have been deserted for many years.

Finally, on behalf of the indigenes, the President General of the Ebenator community call upon the government of Anambra state to come and harness to "Utokpiri Lake" which is located in the Western part of the community proximal to the popular Ofala River as this would be one of the tourist centers in the state as well as create employment opportunities for the citizens, when properly harnessed and explored.

We believe that our dear governor Willie Obiano will come to our rescue as he does always.

Popular TV host, Love Idoko made history in Abuja on Friday as she was joined by the vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and a host of other dignitaries to present a compendium of the first 100 episodes of her popular TV show, Activating Success with Love Idoko.

Activating Success with Love Idoko is a TV programme hinged on inspiring people, especially the younger generation to rise above average living and be the best they could be in the land.

At the unveiling of the book, the VP who was the Special Guest of Honour praised Love Idoko for being an encouraging voice among Nigerian youth. Osinbajo spoke about Nigeria and its abounding talents. “I am impressed about Nigeria and I think that what there is about this great nation is just an endless flow of talents, creativity and energy”.

While commending the diligence of Love Idoko, Osinbajo hinted that one would see talents among Nigerians. “I am extremely proud of our country and I very strongly believe that we are certainly going to be a great nation. It is not going to depend on many of us but on a lot of very young people who are multi-tasking, creative and able to stick to it a long time”.

The TV show made its debuts on the 5th of June 2015 on AIT and has gone on to record over 100 episodes. The book aptly titled, ‘Activating Success: a compendium of the first 100 episodes’ is the first of its kind as no TV programme has ever achieved the feat.
