Unity Bank Plc on Thursday announced the appointment of Alhaji Aminu Babangida as its new chairman‍.

This followed the approval of the board for the retirement of Thomas A. Etuh as chairman‍, according to a REUTERS report.

Nigerian Bulletin recall that in 2015, Mr Thomas A. Etuh was appointed as Chairman and while Alhaji Aminu Babangida as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unity Bank Plc following the resignation of the former Chairman, Alhaji Lamis Shehu Dikko in December 2014 to pursue his political aspirations.

Alhaji Aminu Babangida is the son of former military President, Ibrahim Babangida,

Thieves, thieves" he screamed, it was almost funny; not until more voices joined the chorus as they screamed and shouted on us. We could have ran at least to save our lives, but little did we know how the day would end. From a handful of young men shouting and throwing questions at us, it escalated to a crowd of angry mob. There was no way we could escape this one, so we calmed down. They pushed us around and then stripped us all. These men pulled us pants down, we were more than embarrassed, the whole community watched: I recognised few faces from the crowd. Obviously they were so afraid to say "stop", then the beating started, I wished it to be just a nightmare; but it was real, these men were determined. They dropped heavy rocks on our heads, they pounded our faces with large planks, blood covered our eyes,they matched and kicked us right on our nostrils, we couldn't breathe. "Bring tire" one of the men repeated, until they brought the tires. "Oh God!" We watched the crowd watch us, we raised hands of plea, we couldn't speak, Some hid, some shot videos and took pictures. there was no one to stop this. This was the point we knew it was over. We felt pain, helpless and hopeless. I thought of my siblings, I wondered how my mum would take this. She would fall apart. I begged God to hold her for me, comfort and make her strong for me, I prayed same for my friends. Then we started crying, we cried together. the tears gave us headaches. We looked up high, the sky was still. Rings of tires landed on our necks, they kept hitting us, but we were numb already. They set us ablaze. We rolled around, tried to reach for each other, I wondered who would give up first, the fire burned our bodies. it hurt, it hurt and then it hurt. But suddenly the pain stopped, Then I couldn't hear any other thing, but silence. I thanked God. The pain was over.

Following Tagbo's death which was publicized by Caroline Danjuma, Davido released video clips from the night of the incident to prove his innocence. From the clips which are in three parts, it can be noticed that Tagbo was really drunk. Now Nigerians are reacting to these videos thus:

An Instagram handle @Factsdrop dropped a comment about the footage Davido posted to prove his innocence. When Viviangist checked this user's profile, it turned out that it is likely a new handle probably created for the purpose of this comment. Are people really trying to bring Davido down through this ..?? It should be recalled that Special Spesh was crying on Instagram saying that there is evil around them. Why must this person get a probably new account to drop this comment ..?? Is there a mix up somewhere ..?? Is somebody trying desperately to bring Davido down ..?? Davido actually left the scene as can be seen via the footage he released. According to Jude Okoye, "Their operation bring him down by all means will backfire soonest!"

"This is no evidence, some questions need to be answered. Since the CCTV shows 12am so what happened between the Period of 12am to 5am before Tabgbo body was brought to the Hospital Dead? Why were the face of the people who brought Tagbo to the hospital hidden, what are their names and why did they fail to register him at the Hospital instead they ran away? How can Davido escort follow Tagbo without Davido knowing about it? Where is Tagbo Phone? Why was his pictures and conversation deleted and even his IG deleted during the night of his death? We need to know what transpired between Davido and Tagbo before that Night? Is Tagbo death linked to the Death of DJ Olu and Chime? The police who was going deep into the case, he was demoted while Madam Kemi Olunloyo who is digging deep into the case of Tagbo has been locked in Jail yesterday in Porthacourt, why didn't Davido and his lawyer release an official statement ever since why did they wait until Madam Kemi is Locked Up before they release a statement because she will dig deep to the root of the matter so they locked her up so her voice wouldn't be heard . All this moves by Davido and his team smells foul play and suspicion."

As the world celebrate the girl child today, a guy was caught yesterday after he raped a 14 year old girl with his friends in Awka, Anambra state. 

Read according to Rotr Comr Benedict Ejikeme below:


"Happened live yesterday at Sky prince hotel along Abakiliki street Awka, d guy in the pix named Ifesi alongside 3 other boys namely Emmanuel, Chibuzo and Chiedu raped a 14 year old girl on October 1st 2017. Chiedu and Ifesi are blood brothers while Emmanuel and chibuzo re dia friends.However luck ran against him as he was set up to do some electrical work (cos he was an electrician),he came to skyprince hotel to see his supposed client and was nabbed dia.. The trio re on the run since den... Rape is a serious offence talk more of raping a minor ( a girl below 18) Let dis serve as a deterrent to potential rapists. Unfortunately 2 of the rapists Ifesi Nwabude and Chiedu Nwabude re the only sons of their parents who are native of Awka .. Tnx to officers Nonny Okonkwo Valentine Odiniru and Udoka Princewill for nabbing the culprit"
