Akainzo:
It will happen when people stop insulting the intelligence of others and stop denigrating people's beliefs by statements that have no basis in rationality.

You abuse and denigrate my belief as a Christian when you say "The devil you know is better than an angel you don't see", and at the same time call on God. Is God and His angels seen? Does it not then begat belief how you can profess to worship Him and then say you prefer the devil to His angels.
You can't take in maggot infested carcass and then quarrel about being visited by ants.
I don't have issues with you and if you have one with my, please sway. I'm not here to exchange words with faceless people. I as a human, i am entitled to my own opinion and responsible for what i say. Whatever you believe in should stick with you and let me believe whatever i believe in. Don't force your religion down my throat. I might decide to believe in whatever thing i choose and its none of your business. So my dear, learn to stay outta people's business.

In that case, i believe you have no religion since you have not seen the Holy Ghost, neither have you seen Jesus Christ. I believe it is impossible for you to see Prophet Muhammed as well.

If you are however a Christian, you have clearly been wasting your time going to church and all the sermons of your Pastors/Rev. Fathers has been useless for you to believe more in the devil than an angel. SMH
when will people like you stop quoting someone without making insults as your replies ?

I had my doubts just like you. I hardly believe any politician because whatever they say is always suspicious. But one thing I value most is honesty and integrity. First of all, he was given 30 minutes for the presentation, he kept to time even to the acknowledgement of the Chairman of the occasion. Secondly, one of the enthusiastic supporter of APC asked him what he will do in the first 100 days in office. He told him frankly that when he went for all the rallies and saw the zeal of the people, he got scared. He said truthfully to himself that he wouldn't promise much but he would definitely work on putting the country back on track. This is very rare of our politicians who are known for playing to the gallery.

Thirdly, a sign of an honest leader is accepting responsibility for whatever goes wrong. He publicly admitted that he took responsibility for whatever happened then. Compare this with the present government and see the difference.

I am not worried about the past because what has been done can never be undone. I am particularly concerned about the present and the future. In the past, I wasn't an active player, but now I have the chance to do the right thing and make a change even when it doesn't go the way I want, I will say frankly to myself that I have done my own.

Our parents were indifferent because of their sentiments and other reasons best known to them as at that time, we are still suffering from that indifference up till today. WHAT WILL WE TELL OUR CHILDREN?

My sister(?), I see you as a truthful person, listen to your heart and please don't be swayed by emotions around. It is time for you and I to do something about the progress of our country. Will we rise up to the occasion?

NIGERIA IS NOT FINISHED, NIGERIA IS NOT DEAD, NIGERIA SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN. I'll definitely play my role to make it envy of all nations in the world.

May you find peace of mind in whatever you believe. Thanks
This is amazing. I respect your comment and I'm glad hearing this from a fellow Nigerian. God bless you.

Your post is spot on especially the first bolded part.

However, the second bolded part contradicts the earlier part! Why would you even consider to vote GEJ despite your admission that he failed woefully in some areas affecting the masses? It is even better to vote for an unknown candidate than voting GEJ who has failed woefully.

Please support GMB with your vote.
Like I said to someone, the devil you know is better than the angel you are yet to see.

Your last sentence explains why Nigeria is still in shambles.

You know in your heart of hearts that Buhari should be given chance but you are still hanging on to Jonathan because you love him? Love kwa? Is it just a crush or a tribal or religious thing? Abi are you directly or in directly benefiting from his purse? Mtcheeeeew
I still hold him in my heart because, the devil you know is better than the angel you've not seen. That should answer your question. Like I said, I'm willing to give buhari a chance, I just need to be convinced the more. I believe some other people out there are like me having such thoughts.

Dont be decieved by sugar coated APC propaganda. Buhary is a scam.
This isn't the way to go about convincing someone to Vote for someone of your choice. condemning d other party to vote for yours isn't d way to go. This act of pdp supporters should be dropped. I once was like dis until I see no sense I tackling someone's personality just to make yours popular. GEJ still has my heart as I am weary of APC. But so far Buhari kinda have d country at heart.

As an ardent follower of GEJ, Listening to GMB today makes me have a re-think of whom I will vote for. In all Honesty, I think we should give GMB a chance. This man speaks with so much passion on what good governance should be. I've seen someone who is never too in a haste to make promises just the way other politicians does. He choose his words carefully and don't rush to make promises. Citing corruption which is d main problem we have as his priority when he is re-elected gives me hope that he should be given a chance.

We the electorate have the power to vote him out if he fails to deliver and am sure politicians knows this now that the people are willing and ready to defend their votes.

I might be considering voting for him, but I'll wait a little bit before making up my mind. But for now GEJ still has ny heart even though he failed woefully in some areas affecting the masses.

This is serious. Why is politics in Nigeria a do or die affair. Op, how were you able to get this ? Nice one....I recommend this for frontpage, let the whole country see what's going on. I wonder what 2015 would be like if ordinary governor election is like this.

And i feel so sorry for the youths, allowing themselves to be used by this old men. I hope they would prosecute the perpetrators of this crime.
PoliticsRe: Governor Okorocha Sacks Nkiru Sylvanus (Finally?) by anonymousjuju(f): 3:37pm On Jul 21, 2013
Just the same way Governor Dickson of Bayelsa announced the new MBGN Queen as his special adviser. He will then fire her engine and after enough firing, he will later re-fire her from his cabinet. I pity Nkiru sha. Her tenure for that kind service don expire. grin
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairalanders E-protest Against Child Marriage: Sign your Petition Here Guys! by anonymousjuju(f): 11:31pm On Jul 20, 2013
Those of you idiots saying this is a waste of time, i bet you don't know the power of the internet. Why do we have an online forum ? Y'all forget newspapers do come to Nairaland to lift informations for their news and articles ? I have a 12yrs old daughter and i can't stand a pot bellied man come from no where to want to take her away from me at that age. Not while am alive. We saw the case of trayvon, the internet was used to pass messages across which mobilized people at various parks all over america. This is a start. If you believe this E-protest is a waste of time, then you have no business in visiting Nairaland not even any other online forum.

Signed as well......Delusional Senators. As a black american married to a nigerian, i strongly oppose this. Where is civilization ? Nigeria should be moving forward and not backward. Am so much in love with this country and i really want the best for us nigerians cos am a nigerian as well. Let everyone voice out. Each day i watch my daughter grow (she's 12) i feel proud and would do anything to protect her. Not one oloshi of a man come wanting to take her away from me. Hell No, i'm sure gonna unleash all hell on that mutherfucka (sorry to use this fowl language). My pikin i must protect well well. Make yeye man no come collect her away from me at a tender age. Nigeria O ni baje!

miredia: . There is something known as lunch break and lunch rooms or cafeteria. The daunting task of salvaging the Nigerian dilemma is rigidly cross-purposed by the worrisome mindset of it's citizens. There is a collective comformity to corruption and dysfunctionality with the populace embracing them with more vigour. REFORMS NEED A DRACONIAN APPROACH IN THIS STATE.
Na all this big big english/grammer you dey speak so ? For person wey dey chop Amala ? My brother, i can see that you are the hungry one here. Your case dey for High Court table.
