That's what I'm saying. Cargo planes aren't banned..it was never banned.i think the shippers should use cargo instead, they've been using passenger flights I guess.

Most of the shippers hardly used passenger flights even before the lockdown except for few pickers like Atlanta and some 2 days shipping that relied on passenger flights.

The main problem I think is cargo flights have restrictions in airspaces. They are working with reduced output and most of those flights have been channeled to providing medical and food supplies.

The fault isn't from the pickers. They have shipping companies that haven't failed them and it's difficult switching to another especially this period. The shipping companies like Heroshe, Amgray etc also grounded their activities more than a month ago with the lockdown. Some states in US are slowly easing the lockdown though, maybe that's why Atlanta could find a shipper. European countries are doing the same. So some shipments are already coming in

If it's true, then hopefully we start getting some shipping dates. We just have to wait to see if these items being shipped get to Nigeria and undergo clearance by NAHCO Pahose themselves. Nigeria extending flight ban had nothing to do with cargo, they never banned cargo to begin with.

It's just a matter of time...

Any Android phone (most esp Samsung and Huawei since they're the only ones being cloned) said to be unlocked to any carrier must be put in download mode before buying. You should check Google for the different methods of "How to" . Varies with phone models

Of course this only applies to mostly novices as a techie can spot a clone by mere looking and operating the device. But NEVER say NEVER

If you are picking from the US like eBay where inspection isn't really done, then it's safer to get a carrier locked Samsung. They are never clones. Huaweis on the other hand come unlocked and they must be put on download mode and/or CPU Z installed...

Anybody that tells you code can pick apart a clone from an original hasn't been around Android phones long enough

To start with, what the poster did is careless and a waste of human resources and time. You had no history of travel and no history of exposure with a positive case but yet decided to get tested rather than practicing social distancing.

NCDC criteria for getting tested are as follows:

1) Anyone with a recent travel history who present with fever, cough or breathing within 14 days of arrival

2) Anyone exposed to a confirmed case with the above symptoms within 14 days from point of contact

3) Any of the above 2 with no symptoms. This is a plus/minus cos most people under this should self isolate

The poster doesn't fit into any of these 3. So why does he want to get tested?

There aren't enough testing kits in this country or anywhere in the world for the people showing symptoms let alone the asymptomatic ones with no travel or contact with a confirmed case.

No. Ghana doesn't provide door to door testing
No. Germany doesn't do half a million tests weekly
No. USA doesn't do tests for everyone that requests for it
Yes. Nigeria tests close contacts with a confirmed case by doing what we call contact tracing.

USA health workers have erred their complaints even just yesterday on the limited equipments and their doctors/nurses not being tested.

Any news you read is about private organizations ordering test kits for their employees.

Davido and his family should've gone into quarantine the first minute they dropped from the plane but decided to throw a party and exposed others. Their testing is most likely by a private organisation or by the problem of selectivity

Besides, every nation has a problem with selectivity for high profile citizens. The U.S and other European countries have news all over about celebs and politicians with no symptoms getting tested.

So how do we tackle this? STAY AT HOME.
If you come in contact with a positive case and show no symptoms, QUARANTINE
If you had a recent travel history to high index countries, QUARANTINE
If you don't have any of this, observe strict SOCIAL DISTANCING.
Now isn't a time to run to NCDC "just to get tested". They have positive cases that need containing and attention

The whole world doesn't have enough resources to deal with positive cases and worse random testers. PLEASE STAY AT HOME and get enlightened

CV is closed, dollar is 410/420. So there's no advantage of him getting a refund cos he'll definitely get it more expensive after. Intimate him on the pros and cons. His item isn't running and if he's a good business man that values money, he'll learn patience.

Cos you can't shut down cargo, at least most of cargo.

You can place a ban on passenger flights but an entire ban on cargo is next to impossible. That's where food supplies, drugs and everything countries require to survive...

And also because all shippers are still shipping, last one 2 days ago. From ATL to Texas, Baltimore, Philly, Indy, California, eBay agents, etc. All shippers that are there first hand with the Aviation Authority are still saying items will get to Nigeria. Items are still being cleared as at Friday.

Unless the shippers say something different, then we'll know. But for now, TLC deals can still be posted...

I don't know why others are calm about this situation or maybe they're smarter than me cos I never understand this thing...

From all deductions, here's what happened:

Seller got a laptop from Dazz and put it up as TLC, buyer bought that. Quite easy, right? Nope.
Seller then decided to buy another from an eBay agent (Either personal agent or from the exchange rate, most likely Ibadan Shiner2010) cos of greed. He went ahead to sell that to Jeff knowing laptop won't be fully inspected and shipping is usually paid after it arrives in Nigeria. This is the reason why seller told Jeff to hold on until it arrives.

Now, on arrival; dollar spiked and the whole shipping charges changed (it shouldn't be more than 3k). Seller used that as leverage to get extra money but buyer was a bit smarter.

This is my confusion:

1) Who is Baltimore? It's not Fabsy (sorry to mention you boss) . So who's the guy seller disguised as a picker to make more money?

2) Kulkid said in quotes "Baltimore own no reach naija and I was refunded". So which laptop was being added extra shipping charges? And since it's already ordered from eBay, does refund work like that?

3) This is clearly a laptop from a Baltimore that's not Dazz due to the coinciding pickup date which was earlier pushed remember? From what Jeff said...
So who's lying about where the laptop is from?

4) Where's Dazz laptop? Since Kulkid said it's from LA. Dazz never added to his shipment charges that I'm sure of. Did seller take Dazz laptop back to customs to get extra money?

I no say I dey cause more trouble but it's better all lies and contortions are cleared up on this thread for growth...

We're deviating from the issue with the comments and name calling here...

Everybody is saying refund or send laptop which solves the problem but a bit of investigation also helps.

Who was the picker of the laptop? Daaz01 of LA or Fabsy of Baltimore. Were the pics from Daaz of another seller's item used in this transaction from Baltimore?

Did Fabsy add bills to the already landed items and why? Did he use 395 exchange rate and what calculation shot up TLC from 165k to 190k?

And why's the seller insisting on refunding when the buyer just wants his laptop?

Fabsy should also clear himself too...
