If you've used any of the S10 or Pixel 3 like I have, then I'll consider your arguments fair but really you haven't used any so...

Huawei only beat the s10plus in night shoot( and even the s10plus takes better night shoots with less noise with the recent upgrade, I bet you don't know what noise is) and 50x zoom that is not really needed in a phone except if you're a spy...

Well firstly there's a low light scenario and the no light scenario. Both under the lowest f-stop will produce the well lit pictures. So, there's noise in both S10 and P30 pro but Huawei is better with or without the S10 update. Why?

Because apart from the Huawei's camera software, P30 employs 2 features to make their low light pics look fantastic: The first one is the ability to hold long exposures at a slow shutter speed which S10 doesn't. The second is the super binning of their pixels to produce a stack array of superimposed images. Hence, why they go for the 40mps. Even Oneplus 7 pro on an average no light scene would produce more exposed pics than the S10. S10 may hold better details naturally but that defeats the purpose of the night shots especially since you don't use a tripod and studio lights

The iPhone Xs?? Night shoots is awful, no wide-angle camera, no 4K video shoot, you want me to continue??

I didn't mention the iPhone Xs for the night shots. S10 is better there. Where iPhone Xs excels over the S10 is the video and portrait shots. iPhone Xs is the best video phone camera in the world and if you don't know that, then I can't help you. iPhone shoots 4k and I don't know where you read your balderdash from

Only the pixel 3 makes a better opponent with Google's nearly perfect camera software, but it still doesn't better daylight photos with details like the s10plus even the 40mp in p30pro doesn't

Think of it as categories:

Dynamic Range, Details, Colour Science: Pixel 3

Video: iPhone Xs

Portrait, Night Shots, Telephoto: P30 pro

Wide angle: LG G8

Selfie: Pixel 3


Samsung Note 9 and S10 come in 2nd or 3rd in all these categories. If that's what makes it your best camera phone, then I wouldn't argue

And you also claim some smartphone companies pays dxomark for their ranking, then indirectly you must be talking of Huawei.

Don't misquote me. I said OEMs pay Dxomark for a review prior to launch. This helps with early fixes if the Dxomark score isn't favorable. It also helps to push the agenda and marketing.


If you do believe in Dxomark so much, then I can say Honor 20 Pro >>> S10+ and Xiaomi Mi 9 >>> Samsung Galaxy Note 9 since Dxomark is the "Certified" professional photography website, agreed?

Dxomark only tells you the best cameras you can buy with the scores. You can't use Dxomark to judge the best of the best.

Dxomark uses algorithms and certain exposure to test a camera, then scores these results. OEMS know that and use that to get better scores. Most of them pay Dxomark for a review before the phone itself is out.


There's no way, heaven, Earth and Krypton will the S10 have a better camera whether rear or selfie than a Pixel 3. I sell phones and I know what I'm talking about.

The top 3 phones in terms of camera are: Pixel 3, P30 pro and iPhone Xs. If you want to to make it 5, you can add Mate 20 pro and S10. Oneplus 7 pro, Honor 20 pro and all those phones scoring 110+ can't shoot better than those phones listed there.


You can't criticize a review if you yourself haven't experienced any of those 2 phones. We and the YouTube techies know what we're seeing...
