I saw the contractor surveying the road yesterday from Ekwueme square road Awka, they want to extend Ekwueme dual carriageway to Ifite and Amansea, the contractor is GELD construction same company constructing Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu road.

This nice … but here is my observation… currently if you show Anambra you brag about the bridge in Awka, Airport, ICC etc these are huge infrastructure that have improved Anambra.. thank you willie Obiano … so therefore Soludo should be poised to do more…
He should focus on infrastructures … Obiano constructed not less than 9bridges which are huge infrastructures both in town and villages.
Soludo should not make so much noise about the few he wants to build.
I thought based on what his predecessors has done more bridges and round abouts and center pieces should be manifested and work towards it.

About this fun city… is okay…but the object is just vague, regardless is good…

More huge roundabouts more street lights and paved streets make road developments iconic

The Anambra State Government has handed over site of the proposed Solution Fun City to Contractors.

The hand over ceremony was done by Mr. Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma at Awka.

According to Mr. Commissioner, "This hand over today signifies the the commencement of construction works at the Solution Fun City"

"You have been handed over the designed drawings and other contract documents and so, your completion period has started counting"

Among the contracts handed over included;

1. WATER AND AMUSEMENT PARK AT PROPOSED SOLUTION FUN CITY, AWKA, ANAMBRA STATE - LOT 1: COUNTRY CLUB, GATE HOUSE, VOLLEYBALL COURT, 5 ASIDE FOOTBALL PITCH WITH SPECTATOR STAND AND LAWN TENIS COURT

2. WATER AND AMUSEMENT PARK AT PROPOSED SOLUTION FUN CITY, AWKA, ANAMBRA STATE - LOT 2: PARK BUILDINGS, LANDSCAPES AND ANCILLARY FACILITIES, FENCE AND FUN CLUB

3. WATER AND AMUSEMENT PARK AT PROPOSED SOLUTION FUN CITY, AWKA, ANAMBRA STATE - LOT 3: FOUNDATION FOR PARK EQUIPMENTS

Engr. Okoma said that Mr. Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo is passionate about the project and therefore charged them with speedy completion.

" By 17th March next year, Mr. Governor has already slated to hold a banquet in one of the buildings and you can't afford to fail"

Speaking on behalf of other Contractors, the Project Engineer for Zghontai Construction Company, Engr. Kolawole Abiola thanked Anambra State Government for the opportunity given them and promising to justify the confidence reposed on them by the State Government, by ensuring standard and delivering the projects within the timeline.

I have a question to ask… if paucity of funds is Anambra greatest challenge please what about Ebonyi state? Didnt the Governor construct many good roads and bridges? Are we so poor we can’t construct good roads and bridges with covered drain and lights? Isn’t our Revenue way bigger than theirs?Can’t you see that this is not about money is about the zeal to do them.Now we have oil and gas added to our revenue inclusive of the markets already there .. why do we keep crying over nothing ?Also we have a river port that still not ready… Soludo should call out that indolent ghost concessionaire because his primary duty is improve the economy and marketability of the state.

My friend March next year will mark it 2yrs of Soludo's administration he is constructing many roads across Anambra not just Onitsha, Awka and Ekwulobia, many roads are ongoing with bridges, flyover and new government house, What Otti is doing now is exactly what Soludo did immediately he was sworn in, he intervened on many roads that failed across the state although he is not done, he reconstructed failed potion of Awka-Etiti-Nnobi road that was terrible, Umuoji road, Arroma road that link to Rapet Super Market, Regina junction by Zik's avenue, All saints cathedral church road Onitsha, New market road Onitsha, New market Ifite and so many others, those handling failed portions of roads are ACDA is just that Soludo don't have media team that sing his praise unlike Obiano, What Otii media team are doing once they drop pictures of any potion of road they constructed the Obidient will blow it out of proportion follow ACDA page you can see they have reconstructed many roads that failed including Amansi by express

Yes, it is theatre. So what?
Every year it is only juju costume that defines theatre arts in UNIZIK. And you call that creativity? That is stagnation! Can't they get better creative ideas and concepts? Or is their imagination stuck in the realms of demons and cacodemons which characterise the traditional folk stories of the native place.
I know what I am saying. I graduated from UNIZIK. It's been like that every year. What exactly is the use and meaning this horror carnival done every year in the name of induction? And isn't it clear it is taking a strong resemblance to the Halloween carnival of the western world.

This is quite curious. How can a whole University not see the oddity in making such a ceremony a carnival of juju halloween. This is nothing but a feast of Halloween under the guise of false pretense.
