Am saying again now, that it may get worst and may likely hit 1000 naira/$ before the year ends. Quite sad.

So it fits to say that if basic government salary is not increased but the cost of goods is increasing daily, then earning in naira is earning backwardly. It's a huge disadvantage.

No! once a guest checks out, the concierge is tasked to rush to the room for checks.

In this situation, if the concierge had failed to do so, them for use his salary to REPLACE the TV

An unidentified man was apprehended while trying to abscond with the hotel’s TV set in the room he lodged over the past night.

Reports making the rounds has it that the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday at an undisclosed hotel at Ewet Housing estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
So, this “Special Guest of Honor” came prepared with a plus sized “empty” Traveling bag on Friday night to the hotel and upon checking out, he tried to japa with the hotel’s COMPLETE TV set.

From the pictures below, you can agree with yourself that this young man have been into this “lucrative” business for a long time and luck ran out of him on this faithful day.

Well, we thank God for him being that the incident occurred in an area dominated by “peaceful Nigerians” else the son’s and daughters of Jungle justice would have descended mercilessly on him.

As at the time of filing this honorable report for an honorable guest of an honorable Hotel in Ewet housing Estate, the Young man had been taken away to the police headquarters at Ikot Akpan Abia for further drilling and interrogations.

We will keep you posted on proceedings surrounding this case as events unfolds in real time.

Rivers State Governor and PDP presidential aspirant, Nyesom Wike has dissolved the whole State Executive Council.

The dissolution takes effect from today, Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

According to a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, the Chief of Staff to the Governor and Senior Special Assistants have also been relieved of their offices.

Governor Wike commended the members of Rivers State Executive Council for “their service and contribution to the development of the State” and “wished them the best in all their future endeavors.”

He also directed the former cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective offices

2023 presidential aspirant and former Minister of Transportation under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has said that if he emerge as the president of Nigeria, he will ensure that terrorists and their hideouts are bombarded daily until they disappear into thin air.

Amaechi recalled how he combated the menace of militants and other criminal elements under six(6) months when he was elected governor of Rivers State.

The former transport minister made this remark in Katsina on Monday, while canvassing for the support of delegates ahead of the forthcoming primaries to elect the APC flag-bearer for the office of the President come 2023.

He said: “If you know Rivers State before I became the Governor, you will know there were serious cases of kidnappings and killings in the State that made oil companies move away, but in 6 months, I restored security.

“General Buratai (former Chief of Army Staff) was then a Brigade Commander, for six months I did not sleep. So I said, they too will not sleep. Until they left Rivers people to sleep, then me too, I started sleeping.

“That’s why anywhere I go for consultations with delegates, I go with Gen. Buratai and former Inspector General of Police, Abba Suleiman, who was the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State at the time and the former Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar who was Air Force commander in Rivers then. We were bombing them everyday until they ran away.”

On the state of Nigeria’a economy, the former transport minister said “there is need to move back to agriculture and move from agriculture to industrialization and manufacturing.”

In response, Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State described Amaechi as a very hardworking and courageous person, noting that the former transport minister need not blow his trumpet but should allow them blow it for him.

Masari then went ahead to pinpoint the challenges bedeviling the State, primarily the issue of insecurity and the urgent need to rehabilitate displaced people as a result of banditry, calling on aspirants to have that at the back of their mind whenever they come to the State to seek support of its people.

Nine players are set to leave Arsenal this summer, with Mikel Arteta looking to raise funds for new signings.

Former Senator, Francis Arthur Nzeribe has passed on, he died at the age of 83 on Sunday morning.

The former lawmaker died of an undisclosed ailment at a foreign hospital.

“He died this morning in a hospital abroad. The family will soon release a statement,” a family source told Sahara Reporters.

Recall that Nzeribe was elected a Senator to represent Orlu in 1999.

In November 2002, a former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, suspended Nzeribe indefinitely over an allegation of N22 million fraud.
