ScienceWatch: Thanks for your honesty so far. You are working with the wrong things, that why you are stuck. There are tons of scientifically verifiable evidence that are easy to find and verify. Beware you are trapped by corrupt scientists that need you for their own cruel agendas. Scientifically verifiable evidence that proves what exactly? The existence of God? |

OLAADEGBU: Fire on.
God formed Eve from Adam's side.
They actually had more than Cain and Abel. They had other sons and daughters also.
Her name was not mentioned. She became the most popular wife without her named being mentioned.
She came from Adam and Eve.
She was either a sister or niece to Cain. So, he married his full sister, and had children with her - something God says later on is a sin? Also, I disagree... The Bible says Adam and Eve had other children (Seth) after Cain was exiled, not before... Also, if she was truly their daughter, why wasn't she living with them? Why was one of the first women to exist living far from her parents on a world that was for all intents and purposes empty? Remember, women in the Bible lived with their parents until they got married. They didn't strike out and settle far away from home, waiting for people named Cain to come and marry them... Also, do you even know what a niece is? If she was his niece, then who were her parents? Was one of them related to Adam - who God literally made out of clay? Or was it Eve, who was formed from his rib? Tell me, which one of them had any siblings to give Cain a niece to marry? |

That’s why you could say all these things against him . I'm not saying anything against God... I'm just responding to what you and your ilk are saying... And until this day of judgement, Satan will mislead millions more and take them down with Him to hell, while God waits... Do you now see one of the things I don't understand? |

EVarn: Perhaps the problem is that christianity doesnt have the answers to those questions(I dont think any religion does), people only attempt to warp existing scripture to soothe the mainstream dogma.
I am currently going through the quran, and you know what I think?...I think islam has more concise and straight-forward doctrines...at least, there are fewer things to be confused about...not that I am interested in being a muslim though...
I think the best thing curious minds like us can do is to continue searching, even if it is away from the borders of christianity. You make a strong point... I've read the Quran and I agree... Yeah... Me neither... That seems like our lot... |

petra1: No . From the fall of Adam Satan became the god and the prince of the world system .
That’s why God sent jesus to save through the gospel . But the enemy still try blocking people from believing in God
God can only intervene when we allow him This just makes it worse... So God left us on earth with Satan in charge, hoping that we'll need Him enough to run to Him for help... And if we don't, then we're free game for the devil, right? That's not much of a choice... Okay... Imagine this scenario... A man locks his children in a room with a King Cobra and stands outside, watching through the window, waiting for them to call for his help... When they do, he sends his favorite son - who was not in the room when the others were locked in - to go in there and bruise the cobra, but not kill it. And then when he's done, he can come out. The boy does as his father says, and now the snake is much more angry... How do you think the children on the inside will fare? Won't it be better for everyone if the man just goes in and shoots the snake rather than leave it inside with his children where it can - and probably will - bite the crap out of them? |

On the topic, you haven't seen half of it yet, some people can be so annoyingly vague in their answers that you begin to suspect that many people are conditioned to never ask questions. EVarn: I learnt three things from reading the book of job(well, maybe more than three things, but that's besides the point).
According to the story:
1. Satan can still approach God's presence(in heaven),quite contrary to the belief that God cannot behold evil. Well, the very epitome of evil, satan himself, kind of strutted into God's grand get-together party without so much as an invitation card, isn't that just badass?.
2. God can protect everyone from evil if he chooses, evidenced by satan accusing God of granting Job asylum behind a mobile wall of fire at all times. Even satan was quite furious at such blatant favouritism, and he made his dissatisfaction quite clear in the strongest terms possible.
3. God permits evil to befall people, as evidenced by the game of chess played between both parties, with poor Job as the unwilling pawn. Even Job agreed that God was responsible for his misfortune. Would any Christians like to dispute these facts? Any takers? Anyone? |

EVarn: I think I really like you, call me when you decide to turn gay(really,no jokes...well,maybe a little joke, lol). You remind me of myself.
Thing is, I haven't met anyone with a logical answer to those questions(once met a hardline christian who scoffed and told me that God isn't a being of "mere" logic). All you'd get is people screaming bible verses at you till they are blue in the face, and you'd get even more confused without even knowing what exactly you are confused about.
I believe the universe has a cause, I decided to call that cause God. Then watch christians confuse themselves. Yeah, it's not likely - the gay thing, I mean... Besides, you don't turn gay... You either are or you aren't... You can realize it later after living like you're hetero, but you can't turn gay... At least I don't think... Back to the topic at hand... You know, I'm starting to think that there are no logical answers to these questions... Yeah, I'm not pleased either when they start slinging Bible verses... Especially when they're off point and completely out of context... Sometimes, I think they quote the scriptures just because they can... |

petra1: God is not responsible for mans predicament . The enemy is responsible . When God intervene . We should rather give him Glory than questioning him . God power can’t work without mans faith . How long it took depends on how long the faith of the man took to mature to move God’s power . It took Abraham 90 years for him to believe God for miracle baby . Secondly cases differ . Some other cases may have the delay based on other reasons. You know it bothers me when Christians say God isn't responsible for the evil in the world... When it's bad, it's the enemy at work... When it's good, God deserves to be praised... Do they take turns interfering with our lives? My question is, isn't God omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient and omnibenevolent? If so, why and how does the devil even have any space to operate? |

Are you saying He did not know what the devil was doing to the man, or was it the case that He didn't want to do anything to stop it? How much faith does God require? Isn't a mustard seed worth of faith good enough? The second part of your comment is the only part I agree with, about cases being different... |

I actually need the content in the fast forwarded portion, esp those that proof what the ape evolved from then backward in that order. Isn't the Bible a book full of stories? As for the matter of fast forwarding, how about the Biblical account of the world and creation that skipped the millions of years in which dinosaurs lived? If the Bible starts at the beginning, did the dinosaurs come before or after this beginning? Goodness! If this is the way you always think, then you're on your way to your ape roots... |

Ferisidowu: oh sorry, but you are the one cheating yourself...
I believe you are talking about the Christian God though there's just one God.... but how do you know about this one God.... isn't it through The scriptures ...
I was only bringing out your hypocrisy ...
you claim to believe in a Christian God, you were even questioning him,
who told you that God rules the things you were questioning him about, (that he gives children) is it from the bible that you got to know.... ?
I spotting your hypocrisy, now asked if you believe in that the Bible infallible and true ... yet you couldn't answer . ..... yet you wanted to question the God of the Bible yet can't AFFIRM that the Bible is true..
young man if you don't take the Bible to be true and infallible, then your post is unnecessary.... if you admit the God gives children which you learnt from the bible, you talked about the law ..(which you learnt from the bible) yet you can't adorn that it's infallible. .. then you are an hypocrite...
hope you understand me... Once again, I'm not saying there is no God... I'm just saying I don't understand why He does, or in this case, doesn't do certain things... So, are you saying that He doesn't rule everything? Well, let me answer now... The Bible isn't infallible and parts of it aren't true... |

Ferisidowu: then why ask God WHY? since you don't believe he exists to you.... First of all... Your comment is self-contradictory... If I don't believe that God exists, how can I ask Him anything? Next... I didn't say I didn't believe in God... This thread was me asking why He lets certain things happen - see the man from my story - and not act in a way that would cause the least amount of pain and suffering... Besides, you telling me to accept the Bible as infallible and true is just a sad attempt to prove your point... You want me to accept your source of evidence as absolutely true, without being able to prove how it's true... Finally... You still didn't give me my definition of God according to the scriptures... I'm not an atheist... Not yet anyway... I'm just trying to understand... Anyway, I have a question for the Christians and Theists...
God created Adam, and then formed Eve from his rib. Adam and Eve had two sons - Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel and was branded a murderer and exiled to the East. Genesis 3:17 says Cain had sexual relations with his wife... Who did he marry? Where did she come from? Did God make her too? Or did she just appear out of nowhere with the sole intent to marry a marked murderer and have his babies? |
