The Presidency has given 12 reasons why Nigerians must re-elect President Goodluck Jonathan for another term of four years during the March 28 presidential election. This was contained in a piece, titled, “Twelve reasons to support Jonathan,” published in the current edition of the in-house magazine of the State House, Abuja, called Villascope. It listed some of the reasons to include the present administration strides in road construction, railway rehabilitation, remodeling of airports, transformed agriculture sector and increased access to education. Others are increased access to housing, improved power supply, improved water supply, better health facilities, reformed security infrastructures, economic transformation and increased Nigerians’ participation in downstream oil sector. The Presidency said Jonathan met 4,500km of motorable roads but constructed/rehabilitated 25,000km of roads. This, it said, had drastically reduced travel time nationwide. It added that about five million Nigerians now travel by train after the present administration rehabilitated the nation’s railway. On education, it said, “Jonathan built 125 Almajiri schools, 14 universities and special schools for girls in 27 states. “He gave 101 scholarships to first-class graduates to pursue postgraduate courses in the best 25 universities in the world. “He sponsored 7,000 lecturers of federal and state universities and polytechnics for postgraduate studies to improve quality teaching.” The Presidency further said that 61,000 housing units had been built in the six geo-political zones of the country. Unizik may not be no 1 but if u don't read for exams u will definitely fail. They now use Thumb scanner to check in. |
They said he will bring change and prosperty for Us. Now I hv been thinking, what has buhari done to be seen as a symbol of change. Personally, * I have never seen any school built in his name. * I have never seen any borehole constructed by him. * There is no record of any scholarship awarded by him or for him nor through him. * I have never seen him use his popularity to canvass for any charitable work nor any humanitarian effort, not even at the height of the polio scourge where other purposeful and prominent leaders lead the campaign for immunization. * No single text book has been donated to any school either by him, for him or through him. * Asides from doing nothing, he has not improved himself since his exit from office. * No book written, no memoirs, no lectures, nothing. * The only thing of note he can point to are his numerous interviews on the BBC Hausa station. * He never champion for a university in his state nor has he ever been involved in any kind of programme to better the lives of the Almajiris in Daura. * His entire existence has not lead to any meaningful development in Daura, yet they say he can change Nigeria. Doesn't charity begin at home again? * No wonder he was referred to as being ''perpetually unelectable''. * He is not a patron to any organization, group or association. * No professional body in Nigeria has ever invited him for their lecture, convention or gala night. * The only time any known form, body or human assemblage ever chose him to do anything for them was when the Boko Haram terrorist sect nominated him as their spoke person in the proposed talks with the Fed. Govt. He recently joined twitter because of elections. At 72 what does he have to offer? I need change we all need change but Gen Buhari isn't the answer! Pls tell if am wrong. To buhari supporters, u are not seeing the big picture, the post is not abt tribe, personally I have issues with APC because they failed in their duty to give us a credible candidate, does the name fashola, kwankwaso,Adams Oshomole rings a bell to you? Why can't APC give us one of these men that has given the citizen d dividends of Democracy? You may wish to take it or leave it,Jonathan has tried for northeners as against the easterners yet they are against him.talk of infrastructural dev, fadama project, nomadic education, almageri schools,"glorified secondary schools",railway to mention but a few.if I may ask u buhari fans, why won't an average Nigerian discriminate against an hausa man? am not even sure that u have taken time to study the account of the civil war or successive coup.all we are saying is that ApC should have given us a better candidate and not a desperate politician who since 2003,2007,2011,2015 has been intimidating his colleagues to be a flag bearer and whose certificate has been in issue for, I wonder were our future lies.We DON'T NEED CHANGE BECAUSE CHANGE IS ALREADY HAPPENING. To all sane Igbo Man/Woman supporting Buhari for Change. Lets assume there is no Unizik, UNN, FUTO and MOU umudike, do u think Buhari your saviour would hv given these Igbo states a Federal University as Jonathan gave to Kebbi, Nasarawa, Gombe, Taraba, Kastina, Jigawa, Yobe and Zamfara? He even gave to south west. Do u know hw many jobs that were created at these University and we stil be created as various dept starts? What of railways and Youth Employment where through YouWin people were made millionaires. Jonathan may not have performed to our expectations but he really wants the unity of this country Nigeria. Remember our votes may decide the fate of Nigeria as a unit. Long live Ndi Igbo, long live Nigeria. |
Even if Jonathan did not do anything good, i wil stil vote for him. Y? APC should hv given us another candidate. I don't believe is d best they can offer. |

@ redarrow, ask ur self this question why was ihejirika remove? Why did northern group want to take him to criminal court? |
Why are u going to vote for Jonathan? With elections coming in less than 1 month, I have to ask this question. Personally, I have three reasons why I will vote for Jonathan. 1. He performed below our expectations but did better than OBJ even under crisis. 2. Buhari is not the better option to replace Jonathan 3. Buhari is too old (73 yrs) for that job, we have to avoid another Yaradua scenario. So tell me why u will or will not vote for President Jonathan? NOTE:1. Do not like this post, only comment is allowed. 2. This is for only those that have their PVC or TVC. |

President Jonathan has said it on several occasions, that, " My Ambition Is Not Worth The Blood Of Any Nigerian". But no earthly creature can extricate the other from his love for bloodletting - this man's ambition has sent many Nigerians to her untimely grave just like he supervised the bloodletting of our innocent NYSC members in 2011. Has he apologized till date, nor visited any of the bereaved families But the " saint " is always waiting for every election year to unleash this ungodliness as he dusts his buttocks again and again to precipitate Nigeria to anarchy. The first step for any good leader is to ingratiate himself with the electorate or members of the public but this man has failed in all, amidst the outward repackaging going on. We have asked on several occasions, the rationale behind the selection of this man by APC after what happened in 2011 and till date no answer. Nigerians have seen no Quality; no Principle, and no Legacy whatsoever that would warrant this selection of backwardness by APC to lead a 21st century Nigeria, even when it has been proved beyond every reasonable doubt that this man is WAECless. And for deliberately or insensitively fielding this man once again as her standard bearer, in arbitrary disregard for his inglorious past and its negative consequences, APC has confirmed our fears that they are anti-Nigerians! They are a weapon for disintegration and destruction of Nigeria! They have been sent to destabilize as well as kill a good number of Nigerians. For the records, Jonathan is not my brother; I'm not even a party man. But majority of us have seen and still see Jonathan as the leader Nigerians deserve at the moment, to scale the huddle of a predicted disintegration in 2015. And for you, who is rambling here and there, supporting and defending the indefensible, maybe for the fact that one of your relatives has been handed over a jenjaweed Ticket to via for an elective position, may I humbly inform you that as Light and Darkness had been placed before you, and you in your myopic state- prefer Darkness in place of Light . As long as you can claim not to know the history of this man as tainted with a paper trail of inhumanity, I must warn you to tighten your seatbelt, do not be angry when you become the lubricant of the impending revolution.
