I used to work at a morgue. So there is this thing coroners do to corpses, they tie a small bell to the legs of the dead bodies. Reason is, if a dead body were to waken, the bell rings to tell the coroner the person is not quite dead.

During a heavy rainfall sometime in July, there was this very loud thunder that resounded everywhere. As soon as it subsided, the ringing of tiny bells just started and it went on for about three minutes. My colleague let out a blood curdling scream that night, I'll never forget in a hurry. Ran out of the morgue, resigned the next day. Why the bells rang, no one will ever know. Oh 2017!!

What happened was that d vibration from the thunder storm set d tiny bells into vibration and hence a resonance, causing all d bells to vibrate at d same frequency. I think this is a reasonable explanation.

I was chatting with my gf yesterday and was really priding myself on how I was a perfect guy for any woman. I couldn't believe it when she said I has a flaw. She told me I'm too gentle and Calm. She said I have never we gotten angry with her before . I was like what's wrong with that and she said she doesn't like that . She said she doesn't like me talking nonsense from her even after apologizing and all that. She was like she would just like to see me angry with her , shout on her or smthing. I just find it hard to muster courage talking to girls or getting their number. I had a socially awkward background , hence I'm an introvert. Most times, I find girls checking me out buh just d courage to say hi is a problem for me. What exactly is your point, OP? I don't think OAU is so strict with their postgraduate programs as they were, years ago. I know of so many people who completed their MSc research programs within 4 semesters and PhD in 6 semesters in the last few years, on that same campus. OAU is not UI or UNILAG where they do short-term projects and mass defence for MSc candidates. In OAU, you do MSc by research which is the style in American and Canadian universities and not the British style adopted by UI & UNILAG. And if your thesis is not examinable, your supervisor will not clear you for defence. It doesn't matter if your class mates have been cleared by their own supervisors.

OAU is only good for research-minded candidates and not those who will want to do their research as if they were part time students, the moment they complete their course works. Such candidates may consider UNILAG or UI.

at least UI and Unilag are better than OAU as of today.
