prechear: No. I backed it up with a prof. qualification else it would have been -tive according to the WORDING of the assessment result.
Kk.thanks.what prof qualification was yours?
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by aolatunde00: 4:03pm On Jul 29, 2014
prechear: 1. Copy of IELTS test result form-certified
2. Employment Evidence
3.Certified copies of ALL education qualification including transcript and certificates
4. Copies of certified copies of ur academic Syllabus. Only the areas relevant to u. That is 100-400 level. Photocopy the cover page, content page, Forward page and relevant pages relating to ur study
5. Application fee

NB
It seems CPA are quite strict in their assessment. Since u said u guys don't have a professional or a Masters, u may want to use ICAA for ur assessment. because they equated my B.sc to Aussie Diploma. I attended a State university though. I don't know if it will be different with a federal university
So if I get you right,u still got +assessment even though your degree was equated with an Aussie diploma?

prechear: My first degree is Accounting and was assessed as External Auditor
for supporting documentation,i believe its

employment evidence
transcripts(cerified copies)
ielts results
certificate(will a to whom it may concern suffice or it has to be the certificate itself?)
and a detailed syllabus(how much detailed are we looking at?).

Besides all these stated above, are there any other documents you think we can include that might strengthen our case(no professional qualifications available)
Thanks

bossladyMo: You can't just assess for any occupation on the CSOL, or else you will just waste your money and time. You have to ensure that not only is the occupation on the CSOL, but that there is also a state sponsoring it. You can check anzscosearch.com, type in your occupation code...it will bring up the states that have it on their list, and their status (whether open, limited or closed). Time is of the essence though, as the different states occupation list change.

Some states require you to show bank statements, while some states dont. When you find a state that is offering your occupation, check the eligibility requirements to confirm if they need and the amount they need.
My God!ure really versed in this matter o

badenugba: Thanks so much
I know I don't need my statement of account to lodge an EOI, what am asking is that
When the state I picked asked me to apply for nomination and show my supporting documents, willy bank statement of account part of that?

TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by aolatunde00:

badenugba: Hello house, after reading enough on this thread, I finally think I can be eligible for the class 190 of the skillselect,
My question is: How and when will someone get the state nomination since its also part of what will make the points to be 60.
Can someone break down the whole process for me.
Thanks
I asked earlier and bosslady replied:

As for the EOI process...the 189 is pretty direct, but the 190 involves a few extra steps. States like QLD, SA, WA, require you to submit an EOI, select 190, and select their state, and after you do that, they invite you to apply for state nomination and provide supporting documents. Once ypu are approved, the invite is sent immediately...WHILE...states like VIC, NSW, ACT, NT, require you to apply for nomination directly on their website, with or without filling an EOI. If an EOI filled before hand, the invite is sent automatically...but, if it wasn't filled before hand, once they approve your nomination application, they request that you fill an EOI, select 190 and their state, and furnish them with the number within 2 - 4 mths, after then will your invite be sent.

there u have it.this is after ielts and skill assessment.

TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by aolatunde00: 11:27pm On Jul 27, 2014
hello zenkel

Im in the ticketing business myself and I was so sure the 160k you quoted was not possible.I did my research like you stated and guess what?i came up with less than 170k to melbourne.
This is such fantastic news to me and my business.

los to kul with Ethiopia was 111k
kul to mel with emirates was 59k

im still in shock.best thing is the routing isn't too bad as well.

thanks for the info.

P.S-Egypt air to kul is bout 95k
Qatar is 106k.

what might cause stress though is having a connecting flight that leaves not too long after u arrive in kul.i guess that's where the transit visa comes in.

something i have also realised from expat forum is that there are people who applied for assessment in a job, were refused, went to another body to be assessed and got positive assessment in that same job.
examples also abound of people who applied to be assessed as e.g accountants(general) but were refused.they then applied to the same body but for other jobs e.g as financial accountants and auditing and were given positive evalutions by the same body.
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by aolatunde00:
pls which one is 489

i have a friend who"s been very active on this 189 issue and got his PR last year.He knows several people who have also gotten theirs as 2.2 and state university applicants.not wanting to sound cliché,God"s favour does wonderful things.

thanks so much bosslady and prechear.
spent all of last night on expat forum and learned a lot.
as u both correctly pointed out, icaa is easier than cpa to be positively assessed by.
I was encouraged by at least one person to go the icaa way

@prechear,yes it was academic.it was his third attempt o.first was 8,7.5,7,6.5
second was 7.5,7.5,7,6.5.

@bosslady,he finished from oou in 2007 or so.

sincerely, from what I read on expat forum, theres a lot of emphasis on submitting a detailed accounting sysllabus.thats the stage we are at.imagine getting that from ogun state university.

Weird that it is Reading, that I used to find absolutely boring, that I got a perfect score in![/quote]hello bosslady.congrats on your ielts scores. My husband wrote the exams same day as you and got 7,7,7.5 and 7.5.We are not exactly new to this migrating process as he was accessed by vetassess last year but wasn't successful(he was told his educational qualifications don't meet uo with an Australian bachelors degree).it was really discouraging but have since gone back to the drawing board and are back(lol).
he's now applying to Cpa to be assessed under the category he should actually have applied for in the first place.Seeing you talk about subclass 190 is the reason for this text(we are going the 189 way since its not restrictive but 190 is better than nothing).

Could you PLS talk me through how this works as I was under the impression you can only apply to be state nominated when submitting your EOI.
Is this correct or its after a state has successfully nominated you that you apply for EOI under 190.if state nomination comes first before EOI,how do I go about getting the state to nominate him?Believe me when I say I have read it over and still doesn't fully understand that part.

P.s-im the more interested one between both of us.left to him, hmmm.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by aolatunde00: 11:06am On Jun 30, 2014
good morning all.I hope I wont be taking you back but would really appreciate if you can help with my enquiry.
I had a 3rd class in my first degree(economics)but has since gone on for my pgd in planning and a masters in managerial psychology.
I intend going to study next year in Canada and is wondering if I have to do a dipoma first or can go straight on to do masters in social work.

Thanks.
