The schools faculty of law is now in perfect place and condition...it's a modern structure...yet other faculties like arts and social science are in wreck in respect to lecture halls...There's no single lecture Hall that can contain only mass communication new entrants, cus the population is always too much...half of the students are always outside or hanging at the windows during lectures, which at the end will not even be heard from such distance due to noises outside.

PROBLEMS associated with multiple taxation are almost
as old as Nigeria. The authorities do not think Nigerians
are paying enough, Nigerians counter that they would
not provide more resources for governments to
mismanage.

A disturbing trend in the tax regime of some States,
borders on human rights violation. Some States are
taxing people for providing for themselves basic services
that governments do not provide.

Before now, there was this ridiculous news from Abia
State that government was collecting taxes from
citizens for digging boreholes in their compounds to
procure water in the absence of adequate water supply
from public sources. Some residents of Abakaliki in
Ebonyi State protest over the N15, 000 monthly tax the
State has imposed on owners of generating sets.

Government sources claim that the money realised from
this tax is used to address the problems arising from
the pollution the generators cause.
How much do people in Ebonyi State earn for them to
pay tax of N180, 000 on water or electricity?

It is the primary function of government to provide
water, power supply, security, education, health and
other needs of the citizens. That is why citizens line up
behind politicians and their political parties to surrender
their sovereignty in exchange of good governance.

Citizens only resorted to procuring generators, boreholes
and other necessities of modern living due to
persistent failure of leadership and governance.
Imposing taxes on citizens for providing basic amenities
in the face of failure of governance is inhuman,
oppressive and condemnable. It worsens the already
existing problems of multiple-taxation. It shows that
people in government are now beyond shame that the
citizens are being driven to provide for themselves
amenities that people in other climes take for granted
because their taxpayers’ money is properly deployed to
serve the people right. It is a pity that the various state
Houses of Assembly have abdicated their duties to curb
the excesses of the executive branch, and in most
cases, actually pride the legislation used to oppress the
people.

We call for immediate stop of the generator and
borehole taxes, and other obnoxious taxes in the name
of internally generated revenues until governments
provide public power and water. Governments must
restrict themselves to regulate borehole drilling and the
use of generators to enhance safety and protect the
environment. Funds for environmental protection are
appropriated annually to each State. There is no
further need to extort money from the ordinary folks
struggling to survive.

Government officials must do away with the colonial
mentality of treating fellow citizens with utter
contempt.
It is ridiculous for government to fail in its duties and
still punish those who find ways round governments’
comatose inducing policies.

I wanted to help a friend of mine to flash stock rom but the laptop wasn't detecting his phone, so we took it to an engineer and we found out that the charging port was faulty.


Since its infinix hot note, they always have charging port issue on the long run..
Change ur charging port first.

Then flash a new stock rom if it still didn't detect it.

Go to settings, tap developers options at the top switch it on, tick USB Debugging, and connect to a computer.
If you do not have developers options, still at settings, tap on about phone or device, tap on Build number three to seven times, the developers options comes on, follow aformentioned details

I had similar problem before, both the 3.0 and the 2.0 USB refuse to detect, it only charge.

I had to off the phone and on it back, but in your own case since you have restored factory settings, try and on the USB debug on your phone and drive the USB port of laptop again to see if there will be changes.

No, I have not done any repairs whatsoever on the phone since I bought it...

Same old story...they promised change, but they have suddenly changed their promise...

Please NL, I come believing that my problem will be sorted out here or that I will be directed on what to do.
When I got my Infinix hot note last year October, when ever a USB is connected to it, that dialog box that appears to ask weather you want the phone to charge alone or to be used as storage media use to appear, but then, even if I select use as media storage, the system will not be able to read the phone...
To worsen the issue now, the dialog box doesn't prompt up again, and when ever it is connected to a system, it's on automatic charge...it starts charging and the system will not even notice it's presence.
I have done factory settings, but still this problem is still lingering...
Please, is there anyway I can fix this problem
Because am at the verge of selling the phone, but won't want to sale that problem to someone else...

The Benue state University, Makurdi has recently passed a circular for an increment in the school fees for the new entrants to the institution.
The Governor of the state has resolved that, since the state needs to generate revenue to meet up its present challenges, of unpaid salaries that have logged up to like 4 months, under development and all other economic stagnation, thus revenue has to be generated within all arms of the state, and the only state owned University cannot be an exception.
In view of this, the school fees that was between 50,000-60,000, have been sky rocketed, not minding the economic condition of the state...
A state that is purely a civil service state, with majority of the indigenes as poor subsistent farmers, who have not even farmed enough to feed their families, not to talk of farming for the market.
The wailing of the people have been shown a deaf ear, thus the increment stands.
Below is a break down of the new school fees for the newly admitted students of this institution as copied from the school portal...

THE PROPOSED RATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Post-UTME: initially #2500 now #3000

Acceptance Fee: initially #5000 now #25,000 for
undergraduates, while #30,000 for post graduates

Development Levy: initially #10,000, now #25000 for other
courses, while #50,000 for College of Health Sciences,Law,&
Management Sciences

Accreditation: not existing before, but the cost is #15,000
for other courses, but #30,000 for College of Health Sci,
Law & Management Sciences

Utility Services: not existing before, but the cost is #10,000

Laboratory/practical/Sanitary/consumables: not in
existence before, but costs #20,000

Please Note that the above costs are referred to as
'CONDITIONAL' Charges, payable only ONCE! Applicable to only
New intakes, Not applicable to returning students.

OTHERS INCLUDE:
Certificates: initially #4000 for Sub-degree & degree, now
#10,000......while for postgraduates #15,000

Transcripts: Local - initially #2000, now #10,000.
International - initially #2000, now #20,000

Inter faculty transfer: initially #2000, now #5000

Inter university transfer: initially #5000, now #50,000

Result verification: initially #2000, now #5000

After all said, the final school fees for degree students stands at #120,000/session for all degree courses, accept for law and any medicine related courses which stands at #160,000.
