Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has an answer for those speculating about whether he will run for president in 2020 — he's in, and he even has a running mate. The 45-year-old athlete-turned-actor addressed the recent speculation about him running for president during Saturday Night Live's season finale, which he hosted. "You know, it's very flattering. And let me just say, once and for all — I'm in," he announced Saturday to cheers from the audience. "Starting tonight, I am running for President of the United States." He then revealed that he had already chosen his running mate, someone who he described as charming and universally adored. Alec Baldwin, who has played President Trump on SNL this season, initially starts to thank Johnson, but he is interrupted when Tom Hanks takes the stage. Johnson mused that he never would have considered running for president prior to the Trump administration because he didn't think he was qualified. But now, he quipped, he feels almost "too qualified." At one point, Johnson notes that he and Hanks were just joking about their presidential bid. But he did note that when it comes to politics, America needs "more poise and less noise." "America needs strong capable leaders. Leaders who care about this country, and care about its people," Johnson said. Watch the full clip below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8np0DiQQnP4 What do you Guys thinks? I was just surfing NairaLand.. don't ask me why i was surfing... NairaLand is my favorite and i even come here more than i stay on Facebook or even my room. .....So i came across this post: 6 Tips That Get You Posted To Your Choice City During Camp https://www.nairaland.com/2683917/6-tips-get-posted-choice .... and am like seriously?..... so i decided to become a Myth buster..... and i decided to attempt a reply to that Post... NOTE: This is just an intellectual argument! i don't mean to insult any one. And if you are the guy that posted that, See this also as an intellectual challenge and create another thread or reply to this......... NairaLand can be a Class..... I present to you: 6 Myths About Getting Posted To Your Choice City During NYSC Camp So Dear Prospective Corp Members, I am sure you also want to serve in Lagos, Abuja or one exotic place in Nigeria and NYSC has just posted you to a state where you doubt people live in and the only way to make it up is getting Posted to either the Capital state or at least a city. You might have heard a lot of advice and information about things that you can do to get posted to a state capital or a city during orientation camp. Most of them are Myths and fallacies, and am here to reduce those Myths to absurdity so as not to get you confused. All PCMs are so precious and special and no one should try to feed them with false information or whatever. I present to you 6 Myths About Getting Posted To Your Choice City During NYSC Camp 1. MYTH: Try your possible best to join a camp activity: If you want your posting to be in a town then you better join a useful camp activity. Join either OBS, those who play instruments, Dance and Drama, Sport and Parades. FACT: I would have agreed if I hadn’t passed through orientation camp. The fact is, just as you are posted randomly to your state of deployment, that’s how you will be posted to your PPA. I have seen guys who participated in one or more of those above and got posted to a Village. In fact a village will be an Overstatement. And have seen someone like me who never participated and was posted to the City. If you want to participate in camp activities, it is very good. In fact the best. But participating in expectancy of getting posted to a city is ridiculous. They will ask you to write down your names and tag numbers…. Its just for formality sake. 2. MYTH: When posting letter to your various PPA (Primary Place Of Assignment) comes out and you’re posted to a village, Immediately go and meet the ict guys to change it for you. Of course it’s illegal and they will ask for bribe, if you really care, just give them a little, they will post you to exactly where you want. FACT: This might work, but remember its Illegal. You never knew maybe God has a plan for taking you to that place you call a village, so why pay bribe to alter it. You are the Leaders of tomorrow, why not let the change begins with you. 3. MYTH: You could also sleep with camp commandant too. That always works. Camp commandant is the only soldier in camp that can influence your posting so better shave your lady parts and get ready to earn it. FACT: Am sure some real ladies are already rejecting this already. Why useless yourself just to get posted to a City, when you are not even sure maybe you have been posted to a city already. Am sure only cheap ladies will do that. Some will even go to the point of having sex with almost all the Soldiers, Platoon instructors and even Mammy Marketers all in the name of getting posted to the city. Every ladies reading this, I know you are not cheap, I know you worth more than posting and even more than a Million Gold. You are special and a Queen! In fact I take a bow for you ladies now and call you “Her Royal Majesty” You are priceless. Please don’t buy into sleeping with anyone to get posted. 4. MYTH: No matter what, hold a FAKE medical report saying you have ridiculous diseases, you’d never know when it would come in handy. FACT: You don’t want to get caught. And why would you do this? Holding a fake report that you are HIV positive or you have Hypatitis Q just to get posted to the city is awful. What if you end up having those insane ailments. 5. MYTH: If you go to the ICT guys to re-runs your posting and they don’t agree, simple. Do not go and report in the local government you’re posted to. Take your fake medical report and go to the main NYSC office telling them you can’t serve there and you have to be in the main town because only town hospitals render the treatments you need. Once you can go to the LG you were posted to and they register you then you’re bleeped. There’s no going back. FACT: Still on this fake medical report? Then please read this 7 Reasons Not To Fake NYSC Medical Certificate 6. MYTH: Then there’s praying and fasting, but then again all of us who got posted to the village prayed and fasted. Anyways you could be lucky. Heaven helps those who help themselves. FACT: Prayers still works. When you know the relationship between you and the God you serve, being posted to a village will not be your major problem. Heaven help those who help themselves is not in the Bible. If you believe in prayers, please pray. It works a lot. The village is not as bad as you have heard or as you are thinking.... Thanks for reading 6 Myths About Getting Posted To Your Choice City During NYSC Camp You are free to add any other ways you have and let me surprise you. Ex- Corpers, please share your experience also......... 11 Serial Mistakes You Shouldn't Make During Orientation Camp is a list of some things that you should not do, some mistakes you should avoid and some stunts you should never think of during your stay at the NYSC orientation camp. Human beings like to do funny things sometimes. Graduates can be so hilarious that you would never think they can be so funny in taking some decisions. Some graduates would do some things at camp and you will want to ask 'which school did you graduated from?' Corpers Forum present to you 11 Serial Mistakes You Shouldn't Make During Orientation Camp 1. Rudeness To Soldiers and NYSC officials. The Soldiers are not authorised to beat you during orientation camp, but they have every right to punish you. On a normal day, outside orientation camp, you dare not be rude to a Soldier. But people might think because they are in camp, they have every right to be rude to any Soldier. Number one mistake you will regret is being rude to Soldiers and NYSC officials. See them as friends, mother and fathers. They can be like a mother to you if you behave yourself and they can be a wicked boss of you don't respect them. Learn to add 'sir' to all your conversation with soldiers and NYSC Official. That would show your are not an half-baked graduate. Show respects and don't be rude. 2. Lamination of Documents Number 2 serial mistake you should not make is to laminate your documents. Keep them very well and do not laminate any of them. Lamination is not allowed. You should read 7 Things You Should Never Do To Your NYSC Documents Do not laminate your statement of result, Medical Certificate, Green card and call up letter. I have been writing on this lamination issue because I know that some people will still make that mistake. I care so much about you my reader, so please do not laminate. 3. Sexual Harassment This is a mistake that can kick you out of Camp or even kick you out of NYSC. Sexual harassment of opposite sex is a crime. Do not harass any girl. If you like a girl, walk up to her and say 'I think you are beautiful and special, would you mind to be my friend?' Then go out with her, hang around with her, buy thing for her, give her confidence beside you and you might win her heart. Guys who harass girls sexually are retards, losers, immature, coward and fools. With time and cares, you could win the heart of most ladies. You would see some Corpers in white on white and you will feel like God used 12 days to create them. But you should always remember that a serial mistake you can ever make is sexually harass a fellow Corper. If you like her, go for her. 4. Rape A serial mistake to avoid on orientation camp is to be involved in Rape. This will not only get you kicked out of Camp and NYSC, it will get you locked up and spend few year behind bars. Why on earth will you result to raping a girl? I do not need your answers anyway, just know that only losers rape. You are special and important, you are a King of your world, an ambassador of your Family, a royal priesthood, an educated graduate. So why would you result to rape? If you like a girl, just go for her. With time you will get her and if you don't, the beautiful ones are not yet born. Only animal’s rape, real men don't do that shit. 5. Caught Having Sex This has got so many Corp Members dishonorably discharged and thrown out of Camp. Some people are so addicted to sex that they cannot keep themselves for the 21 days orientation course. Which is very bad. If you are caught in the act, the NYSC Official will make fool of you, both of you would be brought out on parade ground, announced and disgraced publicly. Control your Drogba, control your mind. Do not let 5 Minutes ruin your 5 years in your higher institution. 6. Jumping the Fence Many curious people might think jumping of fence to take a walk outside the orientation camp is cool. You will be caught and disgraced publicly. The NYSC Official can disgrace and embarrass nonchalant Corp Members. So please avoid that mistake. Why jump fence when you will actually serve in that state for 11 months. It doesn't just make sense. 7. Fight A normal graduate that passed through a higher institution should know that fighting is for kids. Higher institutions do not allow fighting, so why would you want to be Anthony Joshua on orientation camp. Misunderstanding will come up, many guys will piss you off. On no occasion should you allow your emotion to be clouded to the point of throwing punches or bottles. Men don't fight again, only primary school kids do. 8. Don't Urinate and Excrete around, always use the bathroom This has become a problem to many people, they are just allergic to the bathroom. What a bad allergy. They piss anywhere anyhow. If there are bushes around your orientation camp, and you are sure it's place you can freestyle, then go ahead. However, Urinating anywhere Is a bad habit that is not allowed during orientation camp. Be careful so that you don't urinate at the window of the State Coordinators' office. 9. Getting drunk Am sure nothing disgrace a man than to get drunk in an environment like that. It happens, but it's very sad even among graduates. Why would you get so drunk to the point if vomiting and misbehaving around? If you are caught, you are on your own. 10. Stealing Thieves are everywhere in our world. Do not be surprised if your stuffs start to disappear. If all you had wanted was to be was a thief, why did you have to go to school in the first place. One of the 11 Serial Mistakes You Shouldn’t Make during Orientation Camp is stealing. If you are caught, you will be disgraced along with your family name. You can have everything you can ever want In life with time. Don't give yourself a brand name. 11. Forged or Fake Documents From time to time, several criminals would want to find their way into the NYSC system. They forge result and bring fake documents to orientation camp. Many of these people have been caught and sent behind bars. If you are thinking photo shop who do the magic, cut the crap. Because if you are caught, that's forgery, Impersonation which is a crime. 12. Corpers Forum Another serial mistake is not to join Corpers Forum. How will you call yourself a Corper or a PCMs and you have not registered on Corpers Forum. It's your right to join. You can share your Camp experiences, gists and many more… Corpers Forum is a voice of Corp Members all over the World. REGISTER for free Now!! Victims of Domestic violence in Nigeria are beginning to find their voice and fight for justice. In the wake of the incessant domestic violence plaguing marriages and relationships in Nigeria, celebrities are not left behind. Here are some Nigerian actresses and entertainers whose marriage crashed after they suffered physical abuse in the hands of their spouses. Mercy Aigbe With her husband now remanded in Kirikiri Prison on a three-count charge of domestic violence, assault, and threat to life, pending the outcome of a trial which commenced during the week, Mercy Aigbe might just have positioned herself as the poster girl for justice among celebrity victims of domestic violence. According to information, Lanre Gentry was granted bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in the like sum. The couple have been married for seven years and the union produced a son. 2. Tonto Dikeh In a no-holds-barred interview, controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh, recently opened the eyes of the world to the series of physical abuse she allegedly suffered in the hands of her husband, Churchill Oladunni. The mother of one revealed that her estranged husband, Churchill, really humiliated her, claiming that the Nigerian Embassy in Ghana has nude photos and videos o[/img]f her when she ran to them during one of their fights. The actress also showed photographs of injuries she allegedly sustained in the hands of her husband. 3. Chika Ike When actress Chika Ike walked away from her marriage of five years, it was for various reasons. She was to later reveal that the deciding factor for her was a recurring incidence of physical abuse. She said of the incidence; “It’s been really hard for me to come out straight and talk about this because sometimes, I pinch myself to wake up and not believe that I was a victim of domestic violence. “I’ve been through a lot in my life, faced a lot of challenges but this is one topic I’ve tried so hard to avoid and have been waiting for the right time but I have come to a resolve that there’s really no right time because every second of the day, lives are being lost due to domestic violence. “I was a victim of domestic violence in my marriage and that was the singular reason I left my marriage, aside other reasons.” 4. Georgina Onuoha Georgina Onuoha is one vocal actress who has an opinion on almost any given topic. So it came as no surprise when she shared on Instagram the experience of a woman who claimed to have been molested, beaten and humiliated by her husband. She also gave some marital advice; “I can imagine her state of mind and what she went through. I for one would have said this same prayers 6 years ago with so much hate in my heart and can count many others who will equally be saying same prayers. But grace, mercy and forgiveness surpass the pain of wickedness. I succumbed to God’s grace and strength. “May God touch every soul going through pain, give them the grace to forgive and wish them well. Forgiveness is not for the other person, but rather for your own peace of mind and sanity. May God heal us all.” 5. Ayo Adesanya Beautiful actress, Ayo Adesanya describes her marriage to her former husband and actor, Goriola Hassan as a loving relationship which was fun until the beatings started and got worse. In an interview on Moments with MO on Ebony TV, the actress talked about her domestic violence experience. Recounting her experience, she said that she couldn’t let go because the same man touches her lovingly, caters to her needs and calls her baby. She describes the experience as confusing. She also urged women to watch out for men who shove them here and there. 6. Monalisa Chinda Monalisa Chinda is also an actress and TV host who was once married to Segun Dejo Richards. She has always spoken up against domestic violence ever since. In December, 2014, she lent her voice to the campaign against domestic violence at the Pearls Conference in Abuja. In a series of tweets, Monalisa revealed that she was once a victim of domestic violence. She also encouraged ladies to avoid abusive relationships. “I was once a victim of domestic violence but survived and even stronger. So yes, you can. ‘I say NO to domestic violence and you should as well,” she tweeted. 7. Katherine Obiang Actress and TV presenter, Katherine Obiang was once married to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host, Frank Edoho. The actress recounted her ordeal during the stormy years of her marriage; “Just to dare to argue with your husband is like a challenge in your home. The woman is challenging the man and tempers flay and then you snap, then there is a slap. He says ‘I am sorry it is a mistake’ then says ‘sorry I won’t do it again,’ then he does it again, again and again.” [Source: http://naijagists.com/photos-mercy-aigbe-tops-list-nigerian-actresses-whose-marriage-crashed-domestic-violence/] What do you think? 6 and 7 below.....
