Edo state, I have been to more than 33 state in Nigeria. Edo is the worst developed in infrastructure, no road, no sewage. Flood after rain.

3. Unmasking the "Subsidy Illusion" of 2019

* The Rebuttal: Atiku nostalgic reference to 2019’s FAAC figures is an admission of guilt. The "cheap dollars" and lower Naira numbers of 2019 were an artificial, unsustainable hallucination funded by trillions of Naira in bleeding subsidies that nearly bankrupted the country.

* The Rebuttal: Atiku asks, "Where is the money going?" while ignoring the massive fiscal reforms staring him in the face.

* The Reality: The money is going toward the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) transport revolution that is slitting transport costs in half. It is going into the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to ensure poor children go to university. It is going into the direct pockets of workers through a more than 130% increase in the minimum wage. It is going into plugging the systemic leakages that Atiku’s political associates historically exploited.


Atiku Abubakar’s "brutal arithmetic" is nothing but brutal political opportunism. Having been repeatedly rejected at the polls by the Nigerian people, he is reduced to acting as a professional doomsayer.

He attempts to wave away record-breaking revenue generation and institutional tax reforms because he cannot stomach the fact that this administration is successfully rewriting Nigeria’s economic foundations—foundations that his generation of politicians left decayed.

Bigger numbers do mean bigger value when they represent real independence from predatory subsidies, and no amount of dollar-denominated gaslighting from Atiku's Dubai palace can change that reality.
