The Economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) has announced via the commission’s verified Twitter Account that it has arrested a blogger identified Mr Dikeocha Chukwuebuka who published a fake tweet purported to be the commission’s cell in Portharcourt.

The Port Harcourt Zonal Head of the Commission, Mr Usman Imam who announced the arrest while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt today, February 27, 2020 said the suspect was picked up at about 4pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 .


Describing the report as most embarrassing he said “I want to assure the suspect and indeed the media, that the Commission will follow through this investigation and ensure that justice is served in accordance with the law,”

He also urged social media influence’s to be weary of fake news.

Recall that EFCC had on February 12, 2020 vowed to apprehend the promoter of a report in the social media, which falsely claimed that the Commission’s holding facility is overcrowded, while detainees are allegedly subjected to mistreatment.

In the photo that went viral on social media, Mr Dikeocha Chukwuebuka with Twitter handle @TheRealDayne claimed that the photo was EFCC’s detention center and that suspects were treated with contempt

Glo has responded on Twitter,

There was outrage on various social media platforms over Nigerian Government's decision to tax calls, sms and data subscriptions. However, the story is different for Glo customer.

Barely a month and still struggling to settle down with the tide of the new VAT inclusion, many of the customers of the Nigeria's indigenous telecommunication giant, Globacom Ltd , are lamenting over a new fraudulent charge incurred on the Glo network.

Explaining the situation to News9naija, a Glo user simply identified as Blessing says; "... I really commend Glo for their browsing speed as they are the only network with strong connection in my area..."

"...the only thing I'm not happy about is this new charge they introduced. Anytime I send sms, I got charged #4.10 until my airtime is exhausted"

"The charge won't stop until your airtime finishes. The worst part is that sometimes when you recharge, they will start charging you for calls not made..."

When asked if she has made a report to Glo to ascertain if it was a technical error caused by system glitch, she said, "...no, not at all. I don't even have plans to contact them, why stress myself when I could easily port to another network... I will just settle for their data and use another network for calls and sms..."

Another Glo user, Chike BoBo resident in Enugu who spoke to News9naija confirmed the anormally. In his own case, he made a screen recording of the sms charges in view of contacting Glo support with it.


Though News9naija couldn't independently verify the claims of charges for non-existent calls, we could authoritative report that several of Glo Customers are affected by this system glitch as further findings confirmed the report.

During the verification of the claims raised by users, News9naija's official support line (Glo network) was debited 48 times at 3 charges per intervals bringing the cost of sending one (1) sms to #192 instead of the regular #4.

Efforts made to contact Glo has not been fruitful as mails sent to them by News9naija has not been responded to.

News9naija wish to bring this Fraud/glitch to the notice of Globacom, Nigerian Communication Commission and The Consumer Protection Council.

Emperor Claudius II Gothicus who ruled the Roman Empire during the time of St Valentine was a cruel king. He was always getting into wars. In order to maintain the recruiitment of young men into the Army, he banned all forms of marriage proceedings and ceremonies in his empire. As such young men couldn't marry!

He did this when he noticed that people weren't joining the military because of their loved ones.

But a simple Christian priest named Valentine did come forward and stood up for love.

He began to secretly marry soldiers before they went off to war, despite the emperor's orders.

In 269 AD Emperor Claudius found out about the secret ceremonies. He had Valentine thrown into prison and deemed that he would be put to death.

As Valentine was awaiting execution, he fell in love with a blind girl, who happened to be the jailers daughter. On the eve of his execution, with no writing instruments available, Valentine is said to have written her a sonnet in ink that he squeezed from violets. Legend has it that his words made the blind woman see again. It was a brief romance because the next day Valentine was clubbed to death by Roman executioners.

Samson, a great man was valor as recorded in the Holy Bible was the last judge of Israel. From birth he was filled with great strength as God used him to destroy the Philistines. According to the Bible, Samson was so strong because his hair has never been cut from birth, and he would lose his strenght anyday he shaves of his hair.

However, things took a different turn when Samson fell in love with a Philistine woman from Timnah, whom he decided to marry, ignoring the objections of his parents over the fact that she was non-Israelite.

Samson travels to Gaza, where he stays at a harlot's house where he met Delila. The Philistines approach Delilah and induce her with 1,100 silver coins to find the secret of Samson's strength so that they can capture their enemy, but Samson refuses to reveal the secret and teases her, telling her that he will lose his strength if he is bound with fresh bowstrings.

The nagging and Teasing Went on for days until he tells Delilah that God supplies his power because of his consecration to God as a Nazirite, symbolized by the fact that a razor has never touched his head, and that if his hair is cut off he will lose his strength. Delilah then woos him to sleep "in her lap" and calls for a servant to cut his hair. Samson loses his strength and he is captured by the Philistines who blind him by gouging out his eyes. They then take him to Gaza, imprison him, and put him to work turning a large millstone and grinding grain.

The Philistine later held a party sveral days later and brought in Samson to perform for them. He asks his captors to let him lean against the supporting pillars to rest. However, whilst in prison his hair had begun to grow again. He prays for strength and God gives him strength to break the pillars, causing the temple to collapse, killing him and the people inside.

Some argue that he died for his foolishness but isn't love foolish?

Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a third class passenger who wins his ticket to Titanic in a lucky round of poker. Jack is shown here talking to Rose about some of his sketches. As fate would have it, Titanic strikes an iceberg hundreds of miles at sea causing pandemonium aboard.

The seaman tried their best to turn Titanic, but the force was too great. Five of the ships chambers had began to fill with water spelling the doom of the Titanic. The water rushed into the Titanic forcing the first class women and children to evacuate the boat first. Second and third class people were held in caged hallways.

Rose chose to stay with Jack and to get off with him. They were not able to get into a lifeboat. The ship sank diffusing its passengers into the icy Atlantic waters. Their trust was only but in God. Everyone has life preservers on, causing them not to drown. The water was freezing cold with hundreds of people in the water. Jack was able to get Rose onto what appeared to be a floating board in this scene. Death was slowly creeping up on all of the people in the water. All but six including Jack perished that night in the icy waters. Rose survived. Their love never was broken. Jack gave his life to spare Rose.

The lifeboats stayed out at sea except for one that found Rose and saved her.

Romeo Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays. Today, the title characters are regarded as archetypal young lovers.

Romeo and Juliet have become emblematic of young lovers and doomed love. They died to restorelove to their feuding families.

A statement sign by INEC National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye reveals that bye elections will hold in Kwara, Kebbi and Niger Stats.

Consequently, the Honourable Speaker of the House of Representatives has declared the seat for Babura/Garki Federal Constituency vacant.

The South East Security Summit which was slated to hold by 9am today, 12th February 2020 was almost stalled by the late arrival of The IGP And South East Governors.

A check by News9naija showed that the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Traditional rulers across the 5 states in the south east and Other stake holders were present at the venue of the summit at the scheduled time.

However, as at about 1:00 PM, the Inspector General of Police and the governors were yet to arrive the meeting.

Although the Police BAnd were present to entertain the guest, most of the dignitaries were already losing PAtience. The Anglican Archbishop of Enugu,Dr Chukwuma Emmanuel had annoumced; ” We are not here for music entertainment but for security issues. We have been here for hours waiting waiting for these people and they are no where to be seen.

This is how they toy with issues concerning Ndigbo, why should they keep us waiting?”

Following this announced, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Nnia Nwobodo stormed out of the venue of the event accompanied by several other traditional rulers.

However, NWobodo later returned as the governors and IGP arrived some hours later.The IGP paused his speech at his return to acknowledge his presence.

He was buried today amid sorrow from the Bishops, priest and lay faithfuls of Kaduna Diocese.

A tanker conveying PMS has fallen at the popular Enugu State Old Park and it's content spilled in front of the Enugu Prison.

Motorists and commuters are advised to avoid the route.

At the time News9naija visited the scene, a combined team of the Nigerian Police Force, Enugu State Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Corp, and MOT can be seen at the site of the crash evacuating the vehicle.


All roads leading up to the spot has been barricaded by the Police.


The scene of the crash is a highly valuable area in the state as it is extremely close to Enugu North Local government secretariat, Ogbete Main Market, Old Park, Fuel Stations, Holy Ghost Cathedral, and several commercial banks.
