First of all, I would like to say hello to all members.
Next, just to share that I'm successfully running a Tech Blog which I've built with the WordPress framework.
I'm now planning to launch an Android App for this blog which would be a replica of the parent blog in the android app format.
If any of you has done the same for his/her blog, I would request to share the approach/technology.
Or you can point out some open source android app that can help me out to start.
That would certainly save my time/efforts and would be useful for other fellow members.

Well! if you are looking for the easy way out, you can purchase source code from platforms that offer such service and then customize.

However, if you are a coder and want to build the app from scratch, below are some pointers.

1.) A WordPress REST API plugin, installed on your WordPress site. e.g

2.) Android app then employs HTTP to grab your site's data in simple JSON format. You then decode the JSON and render as it so pleases you on the app.

What if the user is making use of a power bank?

It is not advisable to give away user location (lattitude & longitude). You may have troubles with google play. And also for security reasons.

I will advice you settle for street name or a certain radius.

BTW I would love to contribute. (Android, maybe J2ME, web app(API))
