Orion21: i cant submit resume my after filling out the tabs .. the"submit resume" take me back to a fresh and empty "resume filling" page
i dont know if am the only one having this issue I encountered same, but my difficulty was to locate the 'submit CV' button. If you're having same challenge after filling the form, then: Don't use the submit button from the top left drawdown. instead look for the submit button next to edit button. If your browser is unable to locate the submit button on the page, the use the 'find in page' engine of your browser to search for the keyword 'submit or edit'. they both lay side by side. |

hYpErbOi: Thanks bro...n I wish u best of luck in ur quest of grooming ursef to become a man. However, always remember ur parents ar ur #1 alternative in difficult moment cus trust me there sure will be difficult moment and the 2nd quarter of ur quest is likely to be the most difficult part. Don't be discouraged when it gets hot instead keep ur head straight and prayer more. Also don't mute ur mouth, always tell somebody to tell somebody u r in search of a career job.
Note: Don't see any comment here as an advise u must follow (all comments are just suggestions) be sure of yourself before proceeding. Things I ll suggest u balance before deciding are:
1. Check ur present family capability n financial status (if u go home will u b a burden or not)?
2. Check urself, how strong r u to cope the hard moment ahead of u?
3. Lastly what is ur alternative plan B shud incase A fails?
**if it face u shoot it, if it backs u shoot it but think twice when u r left alone. I'm Blessed to have read all your comments, really enriched. Thanks |

hYpErbOi: @op_my immediate elder brother tried this n now his regretting returning to our parents after his service year. He spent 2years at home going out in-search of job but all to no positive turnout even our parents connection didn't help. After my uncle who is a PS in federal level disappointed him our parent ask him to go for his MSc cus the guy like book pass food. Now after MSc his still under our parents roof cus its now more difficult for him to stand on his own. Now our parents talk is helping him tru Phd level. As for me wey I just collect my NYSC discharge certificate yesterday I already told them I'm only coming home to visit them for 2wks and I'll return to ilorin wre I served. I really meant it cus I don't depend on ppls promises not even my relatives anyways I'm not interested in career job cus I took to learn cinematography 3mnths ago while still serving and I'll sti be in process of learning for 6month or more but my parents hymn is in career job. Although its bit difficult living in the metropolis when u avnt start earning but I know I'll cope and worst is I'll go home 1s a month to gather foodstuffs. What av gathered from my research so far is that if u try n endure the hardship of standing on ur own, its really gonna worth it at the end but the more u depend on ur parents living with them the more it gets hard for u to be independent cus u r likely to feel too relaxed due to their encouragement of okomi makanjo (don't be in haste). Thanks a million and congrats on ur Passing out. I've made up my mind not to go back home and so help me God. I'm serving in Kano state, and from the look of things, I seem to have some friends I can be close to I. Delta. hence I'll move to Delta from here basically to start a business and to advance my degree on the long run. |

Adortem: You were same batch with me batchC 2013,I also saved nearly what you saved, though I had to use part of it for a professional course which sapped a lot of my savings thinking it would give me automatic employment, well, still actively searching, had to pause when I got to a final stage. Now,I am thinking of a career change, its has not be easy, sometimes I feel so alone, like I am the only one going through this stage in life,I didn't even know it would be like this,I tried, while serving I had, like 3 part time jobs, that helped me save, but it seems the real world now its not something one can control, things happen beyond our control, its called fate! God will reward you for your labour Bro, you're not alone at all. I'm previlaged to stay in a family house where many batch Cs past out today. trust me, I can see anxiety in most of their eyes. even though they smile. |

Edipee: @ apprentist, I just thought of this idea, believe me, this is what I'll do. Learn a skill like barbing or laundry services. This are things you can master within 3 months. You can be visiting banks and other places of work, get their contacts and and also deliver to them @ home. They will be happy to deal with a graduate and it is also a smart way of networking with them. Don't allow that certificate to get into your head, start something immediately. Barbing, 3 months? I doubt o. BT thanks. |

SmartProf: It all depends on d economic circumstances surrounding ur immediate environment where u are and where ur parent reside. U cant expect someone whose parent are in a very quiet village/city economically to return cos all that will inspire d fellow may likely be uninspiring...in my case i returned, found a teaching job initially in a school that offers A levels study and in less than 4months, since i was with my parent, i began an Msc degree and they helped talked to big friends who got me an interview opportunity for a lecturing job in a Uni where i am working @ the moment...pls choose right and believe God for d best My family is based in PH and I'm serving in Kano- Batch A15 |

ajasa4link: op Don't waste ur savings on renting an apartment when u don't have a guaranteed job just yet. What if after getting the apartment and no job showed face even aftr a year, where do u think u will see cash to renew ur rentage? My advice for u is to keep ur savings for going for job tests or for business whichever u decide to go with.
AS for me,I had the opportunity of staying back in the north in july, but was no way i was going to stay back and receive salary of 13k monthly. So i moved immdiately back to lagos that same day harmed with my savings for transportation to attend job tests. i started attending job tests and interview the following week and before two months i was gainfully employed. if u stay somewhere like lagos, u will know its wasteful to use ur nysc savings to get a job without any job in sight just yet. When u get employd u can always move anytime Another reason why I find it hard imagining going back home is that my dad has a woman with him and last time I checked, she's in charge. |

temitope06: Going back or not depends on your own plans and knowing yourself. You going back doesn't mean ure lazy or u won't make it and u not going back doesn't mean u will be a millionaire the following week, it all depends on u planning based on ur strengths. My elder bro came back but being a gifted child he didn't even spend one week b4 getting a juicy job with p and g, dude wasn't even satisfied so after some years he left for Shell where he earns mega bucks and his goal is even mightier than what he's doing. I finished service with batch B in July and I already av a Masters but I had to come back home but being here I can tell u I earn more than what my mates r earning, not boasting . I love ppl smelling nice so I just went into perfumes, body sprays , beauty products etc and d way I package am ehn u go think say na me be Tom Ford. Altho I did my MSc abroad, I still dey find better job but in d mean time I'm loving selling my stuffs cos I get to meet pretty working class females and I make money too. Just fashion out a Plan for yourself. I appreciate. |

nely: my brother I was a batch B corp member that passed out July this year, when it a month to pop I told some of my colleagues that am not going back home to stay with my parents, they where like why, I told them I can't stand the shame of looking them in the face everyday after training me to this level, I took that decision, my mum supported the idea with my younger ones, I renewed my rent of 20k from my savings during the service year, u bought food stuff and other necessary things I needed. at first it was hard n tough, boring and the shame all your friends gone but I kept on after about a month of staying at home I woke up one morning went to Aba enquired about how to supply suit and native wears and I thank God it has been favourable I also work in a fueling station but I know one day the dream job will come. its hard but you have to manage..drop your pride or ego (if you have any) B.Sc is over hyped in this country just try n do something good n useful.. wish you well by timi dakolo that's the song that encourages me. God Bless you Sir. |
