That’s where the problem lies.
I was rejected because of lump sum. I was not pre-informed as I found this forum 4months after submission.

Source of lump sum if you can’t avoid it must be provided and explained in your SOP with proof provided.
Failure to explain and convince VO is the problem.

You are fully aware and I believe you will do justice to it.

Regards.

Yeah you are very right, sorry about your refusal but still don't give up God will help all of us.
I just got to know few weeks ago that Canada doesn't accept lump sum but am looking for a way around that, since I have no other choice, I can't start building account for the next one year before I can apply, I just want to try my luck and I pray the favor of God to go with me and my application. Please any one who can assist with advice on how to tackle this lump sum issue will be appreciated.

Thanks

1) Admission success rate is dependent on if you meet the school's admission requirements. Meaning your transcript and cv should show you have had educational background and work experience in the intended course.
2) Admission for colleges takes 2-3months max
3) Obviously transcript is required
4) 8m or more is enough to cover for living expense.

Thanks for your feedback, I studied economics education but am presently working as a risk management officer (for 4yrs now) while the course I intend to study at NBCC has Risk management course in of the program course, so I want to step on that and use it to defend myself why I choose the program.

Hi Ara,

Let me provide possible answer for 2 & 4.
2. You can check IRCC updated data on their page. Last I checked was 13 weeks but it can be more.
It’s advisable to apply 6months before your program.

4. 8million is definitely Okay after completion of 1 year tuition fee. Provided that there’s no lump sum with the 8million. If there exist, there must be a clear justification which must be explained and proved.
Also ensure that source of income is provided to back up the 8million if it’s self funding…

Thanks for your feedback, am very grateful. Am sponsoring myself and also there will be lump sum.

Alhamdulillah!!!

I feel so relieved sharing my PPR as a silent reader of this thread. I applied to NBCC Moncton mainly because I have siblings in New Brunswick. I was a bit worried as I have ties to Canada which reduces my chances of success. However, I took the wisdom from this thread focusing on my ties to Nigeria in my SOP. I did upfront medicals at IOM in early July and submitted my application at the end of July with biometrics a week after that.

Then the wait began, four (4) months of daily checking of my IRCC account, reading posts on this thread, and constant refresh of my email. Other parts of the four months were spent worrying over how small the number of documents I submitted was compared to other PPR posts that I have seen on the thread. After the regular processing time passed, I sent two webforms and decided to request GCMS notes at the end of November.

I woke up this morning to the BVL and PPR mail.

First-time applicant
Sponsor: My dad provided one (1) year statement of account.
School: NBCC Moncton

Below is the timeline of my application:

Submission date; July 31, 2021
Biometrics passed: August 5, 2021
Upfront Medical Passed; August 9, 2021
----- No Update and 4 months of Anxiety----
Request for GCMS notes- November 29, 2021
Eligibility Review Started - December 6, 2021
BVL and PPR; December 7, 2021

Here are the documents I submitted with my application.

Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294E),
Family Information form (IMM5645E)
Temporary Resident form (IMM5257B)
Letter of Acceptance from NBCC - Accounting and Payroll Administration
International Passport Biodata page,
Statement of Purpose.
Proof of Medicals
Passport Photograph.
One (1) Year Statement of Account (Dad provided his one (1) year statement of account., I didn't provide any bank statement of my own).
Evidence of Work requirement

Thanks to the wonderful people of this community and contributors like makano, Lekiboboe, eclint, and Anon123 who continue to help people. God will surely reward you for the good that you do here.

Congratulations, please I want to ask did you paid down full tuition fee or only the tuition deposit and also I learnt that tuition is non refundable

Hello Patrick,

From the look of things, the only concern of the VO is sufficiency[/b[b]] and availability of the funds shown in the SOA. Now we all know we are suppose show funds that will take care of one year tuition, living expenses and other (flights and miscellaneous). In addition to that, we also need to show how we intend to take care of the subsequent years if is a two year upward course.

Now sponsored by your brother, are you a mature student? Is your brother married with family that will likely depend on the same money shown as your POF for his family upkeep. If is not, how did he prove to the VO that the money is solely for your studies and his family has other means of taking care of themselves. From your own part, did you show any money no matter how small it is?

So in summary, VO is thinking the money you submitted can't cover your the entire duration of stay in Canada without working. Of which what if your don't find work, how then do you complete your studies.

My observation though

Have gotten admission for MBA but my problem is that, my POF is not enough, I have $5k CAD in my accounts but I don't know if there are banks that help people with POF.
