As the Libyan conflict continues, prelets hide in the Sinai, and zombies scavange around Lake Chad "dooming West Africa" Ethiopia's unofficial Civil War rages on.

Recent reports comming in are stating that the Tigray rebels are now explicitly aiming to take the National Capital Addis Ababa. Just last week the rebels announced that they had successfully took Kombolcha a town a mere 7 1/2 hour journey from Addis Ababa.

The Tigray People's Liberation Front, rebels were making a move for two strategic cities. They have beat the military to take those two cities, and now they're moving south. And they've teamed up with another group of rebels, the Oromo Liberation Army. And both are now within a day's drive to the capital, Addis Ababa witnesses say.

Sights are now on the Eritrean Army who targeted refugee camps made up primarily of citizens from Eritrea who fled there own country to avoid forced military service & detainment do to there political standings in what many consider the "North Korea of Africa". The arrival of the Eritrean troops marked the beginning of a months long ordeal for thousands of Eritrean refugees first hunted by the Eritrean military, then attacked by Tigrayan fighters who accused the refugees of conspiring with the enemy.

Apparently Turkey may get involved do to a military cooperation agreement signed back in August by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This is now fueling concerns that Turkish drones will be used in Ethiopia’s escalating civil war. Could Ethiopia be the next Libya or Afghanistan?

Ethiopia possibly headed towards collapse or transgression with the leading power in Africa known as Egypt.
Somalia still ravaged by Al Shabaab
Djibouti silently partnering with Egypt.

Things aren't looking to bright in the Horn of Africa. What does this spell for the neighboring regions like the Great Lakes? Only tine will tell I guess.

You where even claiming to be constantly flying in and out of Nigeria last year even under the heaviest of Corona restrictions despite spending every hour of the day around nairaland showing that it's not even possible for you to hold a steady LEGAL occupation to afford such travels.

Your an individual with a forever changing nationality, ethnicity, and gender spending every waking moment of your life on forum desperately seeking validation from faceless strangers on the internet using multiple different accounts. You are the text book example of a "mentally unstable individual" and is the reason phrases like "you need to touch grass" exist.

You've been caught lying multiple times, on multiple threads, on your multiple accounts(yes some of us are aware of them) for well over a year yet you come back to these forums every day like broken record. That's just so painfully pathetic. I'm not even trying to make fun of you I'm sad for you and hope one day you can receive the proper psychological help you so desperately need assuming your not already missing your appointments and prescribed medication.

Ethiopia refused to be reasonable and solve the issues by with dialogue.

ISWAP "controls" NO significant territory or hold any sufficient sway in the North East. There limited to scavenging around Sambisa and Chad. Most African civilizations at the time could have defeated the Italians. The rest of Europe left Ethiopia alone because is wasn't part of the colonial agreements in Europe and the fact Ethiopia was the Sole Christian nation in Africa. If it where the British or French that attacked Ethiopia it would have been game over for Ethiopia.

The Italians came back in WW2 and washed Ethiopia sending the Selassie fleeing to England.

That's a feat some of the better off & wealthy middle eastern countries with full Western support couldn't achieve. Nigerian casualties are at an all time low and more militery equipment has only been acquired since then. Shoot it kicked off the rapid development of Nigeria's own indegounes militery industrial complex. All this while running operations in Nothern Mali, Gambia, Guinea, Darfur and to a much lesser extent your own backyard in Somalia.

So posting this map you've only proven there progress and destroyed your own argument. You've literally played yourself. If we apply this maps same logic to Kenya then much of nothern Kenya including Nairobi and Mombasa are under partial Al Shabaab occupation. Knowing all that and the fact the KDF are still patrolling Southern Somalia and your Capital is still getting shot up and(or) blown up annually with extremist dominating the Mombasa underground you have the nerve to say the NAF may never defeat BokoHarem?

6 years actually and considering we've gone through 2 recessions the amount of construction that's ongoing is actually quite impressive

Eko Atlantic is a smart city being built on reclaimed land from the ocean using reable malleable materials in a time where climate change is a massive issue. These malleable materials take 10-15 years to fully settle. Any widespread MASSIVE contruction until then will result in both an ecological & infastructurial disaster.

They have to perform soil test for each plot they use. It's more an extension of Lagos than an actual separate city. The plots for schools, hospitals, housing etc has long been bought out. They have already layed down the sewage & power grid

With lekki free zone, Orange Island, Periwinkle island, Imperial international business city island reaching completion contruction is about to explode from here own out in these coming years.

Egypt's New Administrative Capital, Nigeria's Eko Atlantic and similar island developments along with Morroco's Casablanca Marina Project & Ch'rafate are the most promising smart city projects so far deep in development.

To defeat Boko Haram - Nigeria soldiers should be sent to Kenya for a year training on Counterinsurgency. Kenya Army under British Army have lot of experience dealing with such kind of wars. Beginning with Mau Mau. The British waged the first successful counter-insurgency in Malaysia and then Kenya in 1950s - and that has become the template for fighting guerrilla or such unconventional warfare.

The most important aspect is to win the population of the muslim north east - so as you kill BH - the army need to have humaniterian wing building schools, providing food and name it - for without KANURI civilian support - Nigeria army is wasting time.

KDF use such counter-insurguency methods in Somalia and all over....as most modern wars now are of that nature.

Is this the same Kenya that annually allows Islamists insurgents to March into your National Capital City and regional capitals uncontested to reap havoc and cause chaos? The same Kenya where Islamist patrol Mombass streets at night like religious gangs? Nearly every other country in Africa that have insurgents wiether that be Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Mali or wherever there typically contained to the far reaches outback of the countries away from the vast majority of the population.

Even in Nigeria and MALI the insurgents don't reach state capitals there trapped in the desert. Kenya appears barely more secure than Somalia and Libya. Don't get me started on the plethora of videos on the internet of the KDF getting ambushed and whipped out/captured in Somalia. Drop this false bravado.

KDF conduct joint training with British Army regularly. The British just finished 70M pound barracks in Kenya - and as part of the deal - British Army train 1,000 kenyan soldiers annually

You forgot to mention the multiple foriegn bases as well. The only thing your proving to us here is that the Kenyan Armed Forces can't operate independently while Kenya remains extremely neo colonized existing firmly under an Anglo umbrella yet drowning in Chinese debt.

But as for developed, I'm not quite sure. We have Algiers, Oran, Rabat and Casablanca in NA and Port Louis in Mauritius, Eastern Africa with a better infra and social amenities access relative to population

Cairo trumps all in North & East Africa in both development status and wealth. Alexandria, Algiers, and Casablanca are runner ups. Port Louis is nice but isn't really a player.

I know Nigerians don't want your country to be presented in the stereotypical way people view Africa as a place of nothing but jungle, animals, and tribal people but natural Nigeria is one of the worlds best hidden gems. I remember hiking around river state some years back while visiting friends and the place blew me away.
