So I don't really get all this noise about sponsoring mass weddings.

Citizens have different needs and its the duty of political leaders to attend to those needs . In many places up north because of the poverty, many eligible young people can't afford to get married , so politicians from time to time sponsor those eligible by paying dowries, getting the wife good and empowering the Groom so that he will be able to cater for his family.

If southerners decides they want their children to marry at a certain age, that shouldn't be forced on Northerners

Was it not the same thing we have been saying since last year? …that both Dangote and NNPC are fuel importers and want marketers to buy from them but it’s not easy to outsmart marketers like that. Didn't you see the portion of the article that said the gun was licensed to the father and the father even went to the station to claim that the son acted in self defense. So how is the gun illegal.
