Business / Using Paypal For Business From Unsupported Countries by archgoke: 5:30pm On Jul 17, 2020
If you live in a country that does not have full PayPal support, you might have run into the problem of not being able to deal with a large variety of clients that use the payment service as their standard. This means you are stuck having to seek out alternatives. This, sadly, doesn’t always work as customers are not likely to use alternative services regardless of how easy or convenient they might be.

The reason for this is very simple because PayPal has branded itself as the Secure, Easy payment system where you need not worry about fraud and dishonest sellers, it has become the go-to for must online shoppers. Then the question becomes what can you do about this?

Do you have to miss out on a large client base simply because you can not use their preferred payment solution? The answer to this is no, you don’t. There is a way to get a fully legal and functional PayPal account without relying on covert tactics that usually en of with you losing money.

The first thing you need to know is that you have to approach this as a business, not as an individual. So a Personal account is out of the question. But I’m not going to keep you in suspense or be vague about this. There are a few easy steps you have to perform to get up and running.

Step 1: Register a business
If you intend to be a freelancer online or start a company while using PayPal the first thing you need to do is register your business. The catch however isn’t to register your business in your home country but one in a country that does not have any PayPal restrictions. Some first world countries allow a non-resident to start and operate their own business and make the process rather easy and straightforward.

Options for this include the UK and USA but you can find services that offer options for a non-resident to open companies in a majority of other countries. We have a preference for UK non-resident company formation because the steps are easy and can be done in a very short period of time. The cost can range from 60 - 200 GBP depending on the service rendered and the options selected.

Step 2: Set up a Bank Account
This step is very easy as we would recommend using Transferwise Borderless Account service. With a few questions and ID verification, you can be up and running in a very short time. Plus the added benefit of the account is the ability to transfer your funds to almost any bank account around the world - perfect for sending your money back to your home country.

You can create a business, however, make sure the name matches that used to register your company in step one. Now you can receive payments directly to your UK bank account number provided by transferwise. There is also the added benefit of being able to open a balance in other currencies. If you opt not to register your company in the UK and still wish to use Transferwise, make sure that the currency of your preferred country allows you to obtain account details within Transferwise.

Step 3: Open Your PayPal Business Account
Now for the step, you have all been waiting for. Armed with your company registration number, certificate of incorporation and other documents, you can go ahead and open a PayPal account in your country of choice. There are a few things you are going to have to remember:
Makes sure to accurately specify your Nationality when it comes to filling out your personal information
You will require a phone number within the country your company is registered, most company formation services offer this service as an addon
Attach your Transferwise account to your PayPal so you can retrieve your funds when needed.

Conclusion
With this, you are ready to start accepting payments from clients using PayPal. There are a few final things you should take note of, these include tax filing in your selected country and specific laws that affect the nature and scope of your business. This is to avoid getting into any trouble down the line.

Phones / Nova Video Downloader App - An In-depth Review by archgoke: 10:41am On Jul 07, 2019
Streaming video has become a habit for most of us, from watching News updates to cat videos and so much more, and we spend a surprisingly large amount of time online watching one content or the other. But it can be bothersome having to stream the same video over and over again, so in most case we find one-way or the other to download it for future viewing. But when it comes to doing this on an Android device, things become a little more complex. Since most mobile browsers do not come with a means to download videos directly your options are limited to using a dedicated app for this and this can be a hassle in finding the right app for you.
After going through and using a variety of apps that the Android store has to offer, I finally settled for “Nova Video Downloader” also commonly called “Video Downloader Pro”. You might ask why after all the large selections available, I would pick this over the rest and to answer that you have to take a look at some of the feature this downloader offers that makes it a cut above the rest.
So let's break it down into the Pros and Cons of the app and why I feel it was a worthwhile choice:

The Pros:
Starting off with some of the things i liked about the app.
It supports a variety of download formats such as MP3, M4A, MP4, M4V, MOV, AVI, WMV, M3U8, PDF, APK, PNG, JPEG, etc, Plus it is an MP4 and M3U8 downloader. This means that as long as what i wish to download falls under any of these, i can easily grab it using the app. This is a key point because not all downloaders allow you to get both video and audio format on a site and in some cases, you might have to use separate apps to get this done.
Ease of Use: The interface is simple with no overly highlighted or accented colors which make this not as eye-catching as some others i have used but to me, this is a good thing. The developers focused more on the user experience and being able to NOT need a manual to figure out how to use this app. Even if you have never used a video download app before, the learning curve is almost non-existent.
Supports a large selection of video sites: here we find that almost all the major sites are covered and even if you don’t see your desired sites on the list just type in the URL for the sites, navigate to the video and click on the download button, that's it.
Privacy: Now this point is very important to me because we have all heard of apps that track user activities or run some shady programs in the background and even go as far as collecting your personal information to sell to advertisers or not so legal entities. But this app doesn’t do any of that, reading their “Privacy policy”, you will notice that they do not collect your personal information and not once during my use of the app was there a request to put in some personal data, No sign-in, no registration, just install and use as you desire. It does collect some statistical information but almost all apps do that. The Privacy page states “When users interact with our application, we may collect non-personal-identity information associated with the user. Non-personal-identity information may include your phone’s model, version of Android and other similar information”. So when it comes to user privacy, they get a pass.
Boost: Everyone loves fast downloads and the Nova Video Downloader gives you up to 3x faster download speed. Since content gets boosted off their servers they get to offer fast speeds compared to other apps in the actual download process. This is always a plus because no one wants to wait any extra time if they don’t have to
Select Resolution: Most online video content usually adjusts the resolution of what you are viewing based on your devise specs and internet speed. This is not always a good thing but with the Nova Video Downloader, you are able to specify what resolution you want to the chosen content. As a 4k fan myself, I will download any video I can get my hands on in 4K if I can get away with it. If the sites do not have that resolution then I can settle for the highest possible resolution available.
History: Most apps store a short history of the sites you go to but it's still nice to see a list of your most visited sites on the home page that way you don’t have to type the URL each time you wish to grab a video of the site. Its a small thing but its nice to have regardless. This shows that the developers pay attention to details.
Download handling: One of the best ways to see if a video download app is any good is to note how it actually handles the content download, in this case, we are given features like Auto-resume after network downtime, resumption of failed download and the ability to pause and resume downloads. Again these are things that should be available in all download manager but here it's done in such a way that it's easy to use.
Simultaneous Downloads: There are some of us out there that love binge-watching videos and as such we download love downloading multiple videos at the same time and this app allows you to do just that. So as long as your internet speed supports it, feel free to add a long list of videos to pull down and watch later.
Auto detects: No video downloader would be any good if it could not tell what content on a page you would like to grab and this app excels in this aspect. Be it finding audio files being played on a page or video hidden behind adverts, it sniffs it all out will remarkable precision.

The Cons:
And now for the downsides of using this app. I really don’t have much to say against Nova Download Manager but two main things caught my attention when using it
No Youtube Support: This is one of the main issues with legal download software (Take note I said Legal). Following the rules means that they can not support downloading content off Youtube. This is a sad point as we know a majority of videos online exist on Youtube. There is nothing that the developers can do about it but it's still worth a mention.
Third-Party Integration: Not to get too technical here, when we talk about 3rd party integration we mean being able to access native apps already installed on your phone. This to me is one of the major drawbacks of using such a download manager. But this flaw is not limited to Nova Video Downloader alone. Most Video Downloaders suffer this same problem. Having this enabled would allow you the ability to access sites like Facebook, Twitter, and others without having to log in again from inside Nova Video Downloader. For example, I already have facebook installed on my phone so why not use that instead of asking me to login again. Some who are paranoid about their security might see this in the wrong light and avoid using the app altogether

Now on to using the app. As mentioned earlier, using the Nova Video Downloader is fairly easy and straight forward. Just type in or select the sites you wish to download content from or the direct URL to the content and the Download icon turns Red from Grey with a mini animation, after which you just select the resolution you want and that's it. Take note, it will warn you if you are on Mobile Data if you wish to continue, this is to prevent you from burning your mobile data by accident. You can then click on the Downloads tab and see your download progress. Even my 7year old niece can do this.

So finally conclusions: Is this a good video Downloader? The short answer would be Yes its a very good downloader and will be perfect for grabbing your favorite video off social media or any sites you come across (Except Youtube). plus it’s Free, meaning you pay nothing for using it. The developers took their time and created something that was bug-free, easy to use and just works. It stands to reason then why it gets such a favorable review on the Android Play Store.

OK... FINALLY... after hour of trial and error i have my baseband and IMEI numbers back.... Had to Format whole phone with SP flash tool including bootloader , then Install stock rom from seuns post (Using all entriesnot just sec_ro, System and Recovery) which caused by A+ to keep restarting but then transferred The Melting Rock II and calling patch to the SDcard (From my system) and install using CWM... Very round about way of doing things but it worked and i have full functionality...
So now i have made a backup of everything just in case of next time...
Phones / Re: Tecno Phantom A+ Discussion Thread by archgoke: 12:29pm On Nov 16, 2013
Keep getting an SP Flash tool Error: 8038 using Seun's method... Any ideas what to do?? Ironically, if i edit the scatter file and add __NODL_ to the NVRAM line i can install the stock rom but once this line is left as NVRAM i get the 8038 error.
Phones / Re: Tecno Phantom A+ Discussion Thread by archgoke: 9:04am On Nov 16, 2013

Visit seunpayne..com to fix that issue now
Thanks and just read through the post Master Seun made but i have one problem. Never been able to get SP tool to see my device and it would have been easier if Seun gave a flashable zip update that i can use in CWM instead. That would be a lot easier.

So i have a question for the house. I have a tecno A+ (Obviously) but keeps telling me No Sim Detected on sim 1 and 2. I get an Invalid IMEI number and under the about us menu i see Baseband: UNKNOWN.
Tried all the fix i could google, Engineering Mode fix did not work, MT65xx IMEI write apk did not work either even restoring to the first backup i made with CWM did not bring back the baseband or imei.

So if anyone has any actuall method that canwork to fix this would be very grateful..
Thansks in advance.

Webmasters / Re: Royal Rumble! Paga Vs. Voguepay. Vs Gtpay. Vs Interswitch. Vs Zenith Global Pay by archgoke: 4:20pm On Mar 06, 2013
i really don't understand this argument... from my point of view if as a developer i can my client to process payments online in a few days with Voguepay as compared to Interswitch (Which has made life hell for me on a few occasions), then i am inclined to use Voguepay regardless of who is top dog.
Frankly speaking for developers it all comes down to who makes the job easier and the client happy period. Cause we don't get paid otherwise.

corazoni: I need a website for a small business "Restuarant's n loung" how much$ are we looking at and how long does it take to be done?

This would depend on the features you want to be able to offer your site visitors as well as functionality. Then you also have to consider hosting and security once you are able to get a clear view of what you want your site to do (and i do not mean the usual come and see type of site but actual interactions with viewers), Then a developer will be able to give you a precise budget.
