Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Deteriorative Recruitment Processes In Nigeria by Archmage(m): 7:30am On Jan 11, 2017
nmreports:
Nice perspective but please read the below carefully.

I would like to come from another perspective in other to motivate you and let you know some other peoples reality is different.

1. People still get jobs everyday and that is reality.
2. Sometimes it could be luck sometimes it could that they understand the art of human resource.
3. Sometimes its about good CV. No good HR would ignore a clean, good and interesting CV.
4. Sometimes you just have to equip yourself with good arsenal of resources check www.HRtechnique.com
5. Its also about following instructions when applying for those jobs. People get disqualified a lot for simple mistakes.
6. A close friend who had nothing and knows no one got a job in FG. A lot of people do.
7. Life can be tough but there are still people making waves and making in happen.
8. You don't have to do menial jobs to become great. There are skills you can learn.

I recognize that things are difficult when it comes to job even some of us are still looking for better opportunities but I assure you that if you make www.HRtechnique.com your friend, you will be exposed to a lot of things that can help you get a job especially in Nigeria.

The goal is to help and enlighten as many people about job applications and how HR works in Nigeria.
the Nigerian reality transcends your perspective. The 'lucky' ones are products of chance and deceptive attempts at fairness.

Art, Graphics & VideoRe: Your Brand Is About The Feels by Archmage(m):
erad:
When it comes to building a brand, business or personal, there are many elements that must be considered in order to assemble it correctly. Such elements are separated into two categories: intellectual and emotional. And while the intellectual elements should, by no means, be diminished, when you think about the power branding actively holds, it is the emotional elements that provide the connective tissue that we search for.

Think about it. The affinity and equity of any brand are deeply rooted in how a person feels. That is why it is important, in the context of your personal brand, to discuss individual elements, the sum of which comprise the emotional category of branding.

Integrity
Principles mean a lot to people. Shared principles bring groups of people together to create networks and communities. The key here is being able to adhere to your principles, whatever they are. Such adherence is what builds your integrity and allows people to understand what kind of person you are. Furthermore, integrity provides the foundation on which you can stand your ground, something that we all should be able to do.

Reputation
Very much connected to integrity, your reputation is an element of your brand that you hold vast control over. When it comes to building your reputation, consistency is important. Please be sure not to confuse consistency with complacency. Consistency, in this context, includes steady growth whether it is from learning more, taking on more responsibility and the like. Constructing your reputation in this way helps build this next valuable element of branding.

Trust
This should be no surprise to anyone. Trust is something that we all want -- we want to trust those that we know and want to be trusted by them. Trust breeds affinity and loyalty. Trust creates the infrastructure for the element that we all want to achieve. And that is…

Relationships
We as humans naturally seek out relationships. We are social beings, so we look to acquire and retain relationships with people that are like us, that we like, that like us back and that we can trust. These relationships are part and parcel of what determines whether or not we are successful in life and it is difficult, if not impossible, to create this type of connection with someone else without integrity, reputation, and trust. Recognizing and realizing this fact will help you in your personal relationships as well as your business endeavors. It is the relationship that you build that allows you to become bigger, better, faster, or stronger.

There is a saying that has often been attributed to George Bradt, “…people don’t buy products, they buy brands,” and while this was said about business, the brand elements listed above can easily show how this quote applies to personal branding as well. It’s just that, in this case, instead of a person buying, they are buying into you. For a personal brand, especially when referring to your career, that is exactly what you are looking for.

Many Nigerian firms, most especially start ups and SME's pay little attention to emotional branding, even their visual brand assets/identity are not driven by any fundamental ideals or values. Most cannot answer convincingly the question 'why do you do what you do?' sadly most 'entrepreneurs' are just in for the money. In the long term, they fail because clients and customers fail to connect with them.

In my own opinion, good branding starts from the moment a firm or person realises the true, factual, real and unique 'why' of what they do. Most times, the why can be summed up in one word, a phrase, sometimes a sentence. it grows into a mantra, value, vision, mission and even personality traits for the brand.

In some cases, some businesses know the value of branding, but they want to be everything at the same time without focusing on their strongest value. They want to be seen as bold, flexible, smart, grounded, visionary, practical, strong etc all at the same time, they fail to realize that is is better to fuel their strongest attribute and be known for it than to be at the same time, many things.

Another issue is that of a brand contradicting itself. Some brands are well defined but they don't practice or project the values they claim to represent. an example is Bank PHB, they sold themselves as visionary and futuristic but they failed yo live to to their values.

There are so many factors to be considered in branding but it all starts with defining who your business is and why you do what you do. If you truly know your 'why', you are on the right track

it's does not express 'style' in any way-it fails to strike your blog's selling point. the elements are not coherent. those lenses are a big NO-quite unnecessary. I think the colours were picked mindlessly. then the typeface choice is very poor. overall, its below par. why don't you get a pro to design your logo.

Emotive trash.

You even called the deceased "Innocent". What is to say he wasn't on his way to kill a debtor or that he would not have an accident that would have taken someone else's life say 2 months after that day?

Did Ibinabo set out on that very day to kill him?

So his family lost a breadwinner, a brother, father, one who gave 7 years of his life to becoming a doctor, but her family won't lose anybody when she goes to jail? Her husband won't lose a wife? Her kids won't lose a mum?

I thought you were saying what is sauce for the Goose is sauce for the Gander? Why the glaring hypocrisy?

The only thing that can be determined as justice will be what the law has to say about involuntary manslaughter. If the option of a fine was available and the first court issued that, then there is no need for the emotional hot air you are spewing.

She is guilty of the crime, but should not be a reckless victim of judicial eye-service and pandering.

Catalyst007:
I've seen your own designs too. The fact that you don't like my own style of design doesn't mean they are bad. Most of my clients ask for emblems and badges, so because you didn't see designs conforming to the type you do shouldn't make you think you're the best and others are average.

It's not about not being able to handle criticisms. I know a valid critic when I see it. Also, I know a good for nothing busy body who feels threatened by competition when I see one.

You can't just come to someone's thread and try to discourage people from patronizing them but you (that's what you just did).

Non of that matters, as I have a never ending sea of return clients from over 1200 design projects I've done. See my COMPLETE portfolio in my signature.

People should learn to mind their own business. Bad Belle and envy is the black man's curse. I have received countless commendations from far and wide.

Did I name this thread "Rate my design Skills". Nawa oh, abi you no get sense?

What makes you think you also don't have a lot to learn? Remove the firewood in your eyes first brother.

Believe me, I take sincere criticisms when I see/hear one.
cool rant. I hope get well soon bro. just a word of advice 'there's nothing more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity'. ciao
