Governor Nasir el-Rufai has prohibited street hawking in Kaduna state. Vanguard reports that the disclosure was made by spokesman of Kaduna state House of Assembly, Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya. Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, May 24, Shadalafiya said, Governor Nasir El-Rufai should be credited for the new act passed last month. The member who also spoke against the allegation that the 34-member KDHA have been compromised with new exotic cars, said that the cars were for the official works of the 34 Chairmen of the 34 committees of the House as every member of the House chairs a committee. – Fulani herdsmen have been accused of unleashing terror in agrarian communities – The APC urged the president to solve the problem of herdsmen in the country The All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to check the criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen and put an end to the growing tension. The herdsmen have been accused lately of wreaking havoc especially in agrarian communities in the south east and south west communities. Mr Tunde Braimoh who is the chairman of the Lagos state House of Assembly committee on information, strategy and security in an interview with NAN on Wednesday, April 20 said in order to restore faith in his administration, the president must solve the Fulani herdsmen crisis. He said: “The president needs to be courageous; we know him as a man of integrity, he will not be swayed away by myopic, parochial, religious and inglorious tendencies. “We want him to protect his integrity. Fulani herdsmen have done a lot of havoc in Nigeria. “Fulani herdsmen are aggressive and excessive, they wreak havoc on innocent citizens in various parts of Nigeria. “The president needs to deal with the issue of Fulani herdsmen decisively. They have constituted nuisance across the country.” He noted that the federal government’s investment on the herdsmen through nomadic education has not yielded the desired results. https://www.naij.com/805913-fulani-herdsmen-attack-apc-advises-president-buhari.html?source=index_main |
– A truck knocked down two robbers along Lagos-Ibadan expressway – The accident allowed police officers to arrest the unfortunate suspects Two armed robbers identified as Sola Bilaminu and Ibrahim Sandi were arrested by police operatives of Ibafo division following a bizarre incident. Ironically, the suspects almost got away with the loot stolen from motorists and members of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry (MFM) but were knocked down by a truck moving along Lagos-Ibadan expressway. According to a witness, the vehicle hit two fleeing men, who sustained serious injuries, while the third gang member narrowly escaped the crash. It’s still unclear whether the truck driver bumped into the criminals on purpose or by accident. Muyiwa Adejobi, the Ogun state police command public relations officer, confirmed the incident, saying that the injuried robbers were detaned and the stolen goods returned to the owners. https://www.naij.com/801016-ironic-accident-truck-bumps-fleeing-armed-robbers.html?source=index_trending |

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, ruled that the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh has a case to answer in the criminal charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Justice Okon Abang, who gave the ruling, however, held that it did not imply that Metuh had been pronounced guilty, but that he would have to make his defence. The judge stated that the opposition party’s spokesman needed to offer an explanation to the evidence brought before the court. He explained that Metuh needed to offer explanations on how he received and disbursed the money given to him by the office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA). Abang dismissed Metuh’s application for lacking in merit. The PDP spokesman is facing a seven-count of charge of criminal breach of trust and money laundering to the tune of N400m. However, Metuh maintains that he is innocent of the charges, and that he only received the sum of N400m from the office of the former NSA to carry out media campaigns for former President Goodluck Jonathan. |
Kayode Olaosebikan, the lawyer of Yunusa Dahiru, the alleged abductor of 14-year-old Ese Rita Oruru, has faulted the claim of Dahiru Bala, the father of Yunusa, that his son (Yunusa) is 25-year old. The lawyer claimed that his client who was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Yenegoa is 18-year old. In an earlier interview with national newspapers, including Vanguard, Bala, claimed that Yunusa is 25-years old. “My son is 25, and I found it extremely necessary to stand by him at this moment of his travails despite his failure to accept my advice initially. Yunusa was a house help to Oruru’s family for 10 years and when he told me of his love relationship with Ese, I opposed him because we already had a bride for him in the village. When he called to say that he was on his way home with his love I informed him of the bride we had found for him,” the 55-year-old man said in the interview. However, during Yunusa’s arraignment on Tuesday, his lawyer claimed that he is 18. “We see the case as that of two love birds. It is case of Yunusa, an 18 year old boy in love with a 14 year old girl. They agreed to elope,” he said. Yunusa was dragged before a Federal High Court in Bayelsa’s capital, Yenegoa on five count charge. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/03/ese-yunusas-lawyer-faults-father-your-son-is-18-not-25/

Youths from the Benue South Senatorial District, otherwise known as Benue Zone C, have stated that the ‘rented’ crowd that welcomed back former Senate President, Senator David Mark would not save him during the rerun next year. Mark returned to his ancestral home for the first time since the Appellate Court sacked him from the Senate. Mark, who was welcomed by his people, warned them against allowing outsiders to infiltrate their midst. Reacting to the development, the youth group on the platform of Idoma Youth Parliament said the much publicised grand reception of David Mark which witnessed a great crowd was a fraud in itself as most of the people were not natives of the senatorial district but a hired crowd from neighbouring areas and mostly from Tiv communities. The group’s Speaker, Comrade Mary Oloja in a statement issued on Friday said it was embarrassing that Senator Mark had decided to abandon his helicopter for the first time because he needed the people to vote him. She said the people of Benue South Senatorial District had outgrown his promises of emancipation and creation of Apa state as well as federal presence, as these had been discovered to be tricks used to obtain power and abandon them till another four years. The statement said, “Is it not morally wrong for David Mark to abandon his helicopter and for the first time ply the same roads he refused to repair just because he wants to show humility and gain our votes? The Idoma Youths are wiser today, we will not allow anyone bamboozle us with these theatrics”, she said. http://www.ireporteronline.com/p13314_the-rented-crowd-wont-save-you-idoma-youths-mock-mark-for-abandoning-his-helicopter

LETTER TO WHITE MEN... ~ Dear white men, U asked us to wear coats under hot sun, we did; ~ U said we should speak your language, we have obediently ignored ours. ~ U asked us to always tie a rope around our necks like goats, we have obeyed without questioning. ~ U asked our ladies to wear dead people's hair instead of the natural hair God gave to them, they have obeyed. ~ U said we should marry just one woman in the midst of plenty black angels, we reluctantly agreed. ~ You said our decent girls should wear catapults instead of the conventional pants, they have obeyed. ~ You asked us to use rubber in order to control our birth rate, we agreed..... ~ Now U want our MEN to sleep with fellow MEN & WOMEN with fellow WOMEN so that God would punish us like Sodom and Gomora? we say No!! We don't agree with U this time! Proudly African, we say a huge NO to GAY relationships and LESBIAN. |
Pls kindly judge this matter.....I was in a taxi, chatting with my friend on and suddenly discovered that the man sitting beside me was reading my conversation. Since I did not want to embarrass the man, l decided to change the topic, I wrote: "Abeg oga, please tell Kabiru Sokoto or Abdullahi that I only took two of the bombs we just manufactured for this operation. Let them know as well that I may find it difficult to get to the target place before the bombs explode because there is terrible traffic jam now but nevertheless, I am sure casualty figure will be high since we are five in our taxi and all the vehicles in the traffic will be affected too. We have less than 3minutes for the bomb to go off. Bye and take care of my parents and siblings as agreed. The Man, without allowing the taxi to stop suddenly opened the taxi door and jumped out. He was knocked down by a passing truck and eventually died. Pls who killed him?..Me or Amebo?..*# Lol |

BEAUTY: Toothpaste contains many useful ingredients that can be soothing and healing to the skin. For this reason, you’ll be able to use toothpaste to help you with the following issues: 1. Pimples. Reduce redness and the size of your pimples with a dab of toothpaste. Let it sit overnight, then rinse away in the morning for a noticeable difference. 2. Brittle fingernails. Since our nails are made of the same enamel as teeth, toothpaste can do a lot to help them. Simply give your nails a good scrub with some toothpaste for cleaner, shinier, stronger nails. You’ll also get that dirt out from underneath them in no time! 3. Fly-away hair. A gel toothpaste is largely made with the same ingredients as basic hair gels, so you’ll be able to substitute easily here. Just use a little dab and apply like a hair gel when needed. FIRST AID: Beyond beauty care, you’ll also find helpful ways to use toothpaste in that first aid kit. Keep a small tube tucked inside your kit for these emergencies: 4. Bites, sores, and blisters. Apply toothpaste to areas of skin irritation to reduce itching, swelling, and irritation. Toothpaste will dry them up quickly and help them heal faster. 5. Burns. For minor burns with no open sores, a quick toothpaste application can give you instant relief. The cooling properties get to work right away, relieving that painful sting. In the long-term, toothpaste will keep the burn from becoming a painful, oozing blister. 6. Bruises. For large bruises that take forever to fade, use a little toothpaste and a wide-tooth comb. Apply the toothpaste and gently comb the bruise in one direction to break up the blood clotting beneath the skin. Toothpaste helps with circulation and fights off the inflammation. FASHION: Our clothing and accessories can also benefit from many of the ingredients found in the average tube of toothpaste. Give these a try: 7. Jewelry cleaner. Before you pay for someone else to clean it, rub toothpaste onto your silver jewelry and leave it overnight, the wipe it clean with a soft cloth. Give a light scrubbing to your diamonds to see them sparkle again, just be sure to rinse thoroughly. Avoid using toothpaste on pearls. 8. Show care. Scuffed or dirty shoes can look new again with a little toothpaste. Apply it directly to the dull, dirty, or scuffed parts of the shoe, scrub with a brush, and wipe them clean. Ta-da! 9. Clothing stains. Tough stains will disappear with a little toothpaste and some brisk scrubbing. Squeeze it right on the stain and rub until it disappears, then wash as normal. If using whitening toothpaste, be advised that this can have a bleaching effect on some colors and fabrics. HOUSEHOLD: Toothpaste can save you money around the house by helping with some very basic tasks: 10. Computer cleaner. Scrub away fingerprints from your keyboard with a white, baking soda-based toothpaste. Follow up with a damp cloth and your keys are good as new! 11. Iron cleaner. Take away the “crusties” from the bottom of your clothes iron with a quick toothpaste rinse. Just be sure to remove all the toothpaste before you start ironing again. 12. Baby bottles. To freshen up baby bottles and remove that sour-milk smell, put some toothpaste on your bottle scrubber and give them a quick wash. Always rinse them very well afterwards. 13. Piano keys. Like computer keys, piano keys get grubby with repeated use from the dirt, oil, and grime on our fingertips. Use a damp cloth and some toothpaste to rub down the keys, then wipe them clean with a dry cloth. 14. Crayon stains. Undo your kids’ damage to the walls with a damp cloth and some toothpaste. Rub it in gentle circles and watch the crayon fade away. 15. Odor removal. After cooking with “stinky” foods in the kitchen (fish, garlic, onions, etc.), getting the smell out of the skin is a challenge. Wash your hands thoroughly with water and toothpaste for a quick and easy remedy. |

It is the ordinary people who can do extraordinary things. There are people who simply get ahead and get plans in life accomplished no matter the circumstances and the obstacles in their path. On the other hand, there are people who work hard and do all the right things and still do not seem to be heading anywhere. It is important to note that people who do the extraordinary things are not any more creative, smarter or even more hardworking than those who don’t. In fact, the people who regard themselves as “underachieving” often have the exact same qualities as those who are truly exceptional, they just haven’t unlocked them yet. The answer lies in developing some excellent habits. Exceptional people adopt simple daily habits in their approach to life. The cumulative effects of these simple habits will lead to long term success and make these people exceptional everyday. Here is a list of some of the things exceptional people do everyday: 1. Offer genuine support to others This is one of the top things exceptional people do everyday. They are genuinely interested in other people’s success and well-being. They want others to become exceptional just like them. Make an extra effort to support others in need, by offering support or advice. 2. Be focused on people Exceptional people know that focusing on people, rather than simple tasks in every plan is always a worthwhile endeavor. In every decision they make, they weigh whether the decisions will contribute to the overall welfare of others. 3. Ask for help Exceptional people know that asking for assistance is not a sign of weaknesses. They know that we cannot accomplish anything worthwhile by ourselves. They are not afraid to ask for help when they need it. Asking for help from others also indicates that you value their knowledge and contributes to their sense of worth and self-esteem. 4. Don’t be afraid to admit your mistakes Ordinary people throw their hands up in exasperation when they make mistakes. They’re afraid of admitting they are wrong. Exceptional people, on the other hand, thrive in the environments where they make mistakes by turning their mistakes into opportunities. They are not afraid to admit they are wrong, learn from it and promptly change course if certain situations do not work to their advantage. For the exceptional people, a dead end simply eliminates a bad possibility and frees them up to pursue new possibilities and paths for pursuing success. For people who are truly exceptional, a closed door simply means an opportunity to look for an open window. 5. Give due credit and gratitude Giving someone a compliment costs nothing yet some people rarely do it. Compliments are free but for the recipient, it can be worth everything. It is always good to give someone the credit that they deserve. Do not hold it back for any reason. Just get it off your chest and make their day! 6. Love life What is there to be loved about life? Virtually everything. The pain, the love, the joys, the accomplishments, the failures, the growth process and the new discoveries. There is nothing else in this world like life and the most exceptional people know that you only live once. They try to live each moment as intensely as possible. Life must be lived with intensity and every moment must be worth something. Once you love life itself, there is so much that becomes possible and within reach. The less exceptional see life as an obligation and not as a precious gift which they must grab by the horns. 7. Push your limits Anyone who pushes themselves to their extreme limits knows the importance of life. Without pushing yourself beyond your boundaries, you will never know your true potential in life. Taking yourself out of your comfort zone is a journey of self discoverythat will help you understand more about yourself and Human beings are capable of doing great things. They just need to master their willpower and mental strength to go the extra mile and discover their destiny in life. At any moment that you resolve to, you can put yourself on the ladder to incredible achievements in life. The main reason why extraordinary people know their potential is that they are constantly stretching the limits to achieve their goals. Try pushing yourself hard today and you will be amazed at how much you are capable of. It will be difficult for you to know your true potential in life if you do not begin stretching yourself to the limits today. So start small, but start now. Whatever you are doing, try doing it 10 times as hard and see where the journey will take you. 8. Believe in yourself This is another of the things exceptional people do everyday. They have a solid belief in themselves, their abilities and their capacity to achieve their dreams andgoals in life. The mind actualizes what you think of yourself and your abilities. This is one of the most intriguing aspects of the powerful human mind. If you think of yourself as a failure, you will become a failure. Once you develop the self-belief, it becomes possible for you to accomplish the most extraordinary things. 9. Put your thoughts and words into action Exceptional people understand the power of doing things. They don’t just think and debate with themselves and then shove good ideas aside. They actually invest in action. They turn their big thoughts and ideas into determined action. 10. Give yourself a break Exceptional people clearly know that they are not supermen and superwomen. They know success does not come overnight. They plan long term, work very hard to realize their long term goals, set very high standards but also give themselves a well-deserved break. |
