Silly biafran ramblings. China doesn't give a damn about Nigeria. China is a resources looter and the terms of engagement is always in their favor and they make sure we are in debt to always keep us in line.
Where was this thoughtless writer when China and GEJ were rapping us left and right with little or nothing on the ground to show for billions of dollars loan to China that we can not pay?
GEJ took $500 million loan from China to install cctv in Abuja, but the installed toys and scrap, but we can not get our money back because its not only a loan to be repaid by the Nigerian people regardless, but China also built into the contract agreement stipulations that the terms of the contract can not be disclosed or litigated.
Based on on borrowing from China, China won't hire skilled labor from Nigeria so exactly what are we gaining from China apart from our massive debt ?
The railway system that borrowed us billions to build I'd nothing but old trash and ancient locomotive.
America did more for Nigerian free of charge than any country in the qorldt.
Although used, 2 of your best war ships was supplied by America free of charge so tell us when the last time China gave you anything free of charge?
American taxpayers paid for the trainers they sent over here to train our military men, but just because they refused to work with corrupt generals swindling Nigerians and refused to show up with basic equipment to train with just because jona and his generals stole billions of dollars meant for equipments.
Who sent our troops to war without bullets and credible weapons? America or jona?
Who promoted and gave the useless generals national awards instead of firing and probing them especially after losing towns and villagers to terrorists and thousands of Nigerians dead? America?
America refused to deal with a lawless, corrupt and incompetent government for very good reasons and even Nigerians got rid of jona and his worthless government for the same reasons.
Our best days ate ahead so stop crying. Nigerians rejected jona just like the rest of the world. Concentrate on your biafra nonsense and leave. |

barcanista: CBN is an autonomous institution that doesn't need the "approval" of the President to take certain decisions like granting of loans or intervention as long as it doesn't conflict with the fiscal policy of the government. Recall that SLS led CBN donated cash to victims of the insurgency without anybody's approval. Emefiele issued order for stoppage of using the reserve to finance importation of 41 products without approval of the Executive. The intervention was not from the federation account or FG account. The President have to business. Beside, it is a decision of the Bankers Committee, it is safe to say that the loan will be financed by the banks and not the FG purse. A As a sign of the Federal Government's commitment to change the course of both the domestic gas/power sector, the Central Bank of Nigeria Stop the rettarded, ignorant and elementary school rubbish. The CBN=Federal Agency=FG. It's still the CBN as a FG agency under PMB taking actions that was never taken under GEJ all through his 6 years in office. Nigerian students in the UK can now access Oluremi Tinubu Hardship Fund
NIGERIAN students in the UK facing financial difficulties can now access money from the Oluremi Tinubu Hardship Fund set up to ease their plight and prevent them having to drop out of university.
In April this year, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the former Lagos State governor Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, established the fund to aid Nigerian students struggling in the UK. To be administered by the Association of Nigerian Academics UK (Anauk), the fund is designed to help diasporan pupils cope with school fees and accommodation expenses.
Anauk president, Councillor Adedamola Aminu, said: “This fund was set up by Senator Oluremi Tinubu in London on April 5 2014 to support Nigerian students experiencing unforeseen financial hardships. Applicants must be Nigerian overseas students in any higher education institution in the UK.
“Applicants will have to meet criteria as set out in the application form and disbursement of funds is at the discretion of the Hardship Fund Committee of the association. The grant is part of our objectives of assisting Nigerian students in need and contributing to the development of next generation Nigerians and British academicians.”
He added that individuals cannot benefit from the fund twice. Councillor Aminu added that anyone looking for details of how to apply and criteria for qualification should visit the Anauk website
To kick off the project in April, Senator Tinubu, who represents Lagos Central Senatorial District, made an initial contribution of $20,000 to fund. Accompanied by several other senators and members of the House of Representatives, Senator Tinubu said the establishment of the fund is an extension of the work she is doing in Nigeria through her New Era Foundation, which provides opportunities for disadvantaged children. http://www.chubmagazine.com/2014/12/nigerian-students-uk-can-now-access-oluremi-tinubu-hardship-fund/ |

Senator Tinubu Presents N108 Million To Lagos State Universitys part of the government’s effort towards improving on the quality of education in Lagos state, a member of the Senate Committee on Education, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, (ACN Lagos Central), recently presented a cheque of N108 million to the Lagos State University (LASU) as grant from Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).
This was disclosed by the Media Officer of the institution, Jerry Olatunbosun in Lagos.
Olatunbosun said that the money was meant for the development of the institution.
Despite the fact that the university was located outside Senator Remi Tinubu’s constituency, she said she gave the grant as a sign of love.
She said, “The bond between us, the senators representing the state at the National Assembly is a strong one that cannot be thwarted by allocations.
“We agreed on the grant; it could be the turn of another Senatorial district to make concession for my district or another tomorrow.”
The senator commended her colleagues in the Senate, for supporting her in ensuring that the special intervention grant was given to the institution.
Olatunbosun said that Sen. Ganiyu Olarewaju, (ACN Lagos West) accompanied Tinubu to present the cheque.
He said that the Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Obafunwa, assured that the fund would be spent judiciously http://www.naija.fm/entertainment/nollywood-news/senator-tinubu-presents-n108-million-to-lagos-state-university/I wonder what your village leaders are doing with your constituency funds... |

Nigerian gullible since time immemorial Alexander Ezenagu – Excelling Beyond Being ‘One-day Governor’
https://www.growingupmag.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Alex.jpg
By the time he got to SS3, he was pronounced the best student in his school, and was selected to represent the school at the regional qualifiers of the 2004 Spelling Bee Competition organized by the New Era Foundation, a project of the former First Lady of Lagos State, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. He won and then had to represent Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area at the state challenge, where he contested against 56 others and came third position in the contest. Although he was not the overall winner, his position still got him on to the “Council of One Day Governors”
In 2005, he was admitted into the University of Ibadan to study law. It was an uphill struggle to survive in school due to his family’s financial hardship. In order not to drop out of school at this stage, he began conducting extra tutorial classes in different courses for both his classmates and other students, in exchange for money. He graduated with a First Class honours in 2010. Impressed by his success, Senator Oluremi Tinubu led a high-profile delegation to celebrate his graduation. Although filled with joy, he was still very concerned that he might not make it to the next level of the ‘Law School’ because of the high cost of tuition for the programme.
Although filled with joy, he was still very concerned that he might not make it to the next level of the ‘Law School’ because of the high cost of tuition for the programme.
Surprisingly for Alex, his Law School bill was totally paid by the organizer of the New Era Foundation and his maintenance was covered by a scholarship scheme established by the former chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Hon. Afeez Ipesa-Balogun. Alex in gratitude for this made himself a personal promise, not to relent in his effort, but study as hard as he could.
In 2011, Alex did it again; he graduated with a First Class at the Lagos Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar. His life’s journey had always been the such that he was hardly ever sure where the resources for his next step would come from, but he always just got himself prepared for the journey despite his situation.
Alex 2In December 2011, at the third reunion luncheon of the Council of ‘One-Day Governors’ organised by the New Era Foundation in Lagos, Alex being one of the past governors by virtue of coming third at the spelling bee competition, got a car gift from Senator Oluremi Tinubu, which was presented to him by Mrs Fashola. He also got to work at the law offices of Banwo and Ighodalo, a leading Nigerian law firm; where he was an integral member of the Finance, Projects and Infrastructure team and has been involved in local and cross-border legal advisory services.
https://www.growingupmag.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Alex-2.jpg
Subsequently, he was admitted into the University of Cambridge for his Master’s degree in 2013, on scholarship and in June 2014 he was presented with his Masters of Law degree by the president of the University of Cambridge. He currently works with a Law firm called ‘Templars’. He has extensive experience advising in the areas of project finance, structured finance, corporate finance and securities law. His areas of expertise include Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisition, Projects and Infrastructure, and International Tax Law.
http://www.growingupmag.org/alexander-ezenagu-excelling-beyond-being-one-day-governor/ She's doing way way more than wardrobe allowance and even more than any public official in her capacity. She's helped, saved and advance so many lives with her time and money regardless of tribe and religion... How many of this young man's leaders back home showed up to help this young and excel beyond his wildest dream all the way to cambridge? How many showed up at his graduation to support him like this woman did? She's a better human being than many of you hate mongering clowns.. |

tuniski: he is suppose to sack them immediately before the clueless relocation of command centre to maiduguri. Those service chiefs expired with GEJ but, since babaBuhari is bemused with the challenge of democratic leadership, he retained them and wasted both valuable time and human lives in the recent resurging BH attacks. Thoughtless and care less leaders jumps in and start firing and making drastic decisions regardless, but Good and prudent leaders takes stock and asseses situation on the ground before making profound decisions. |

jaybee: Why this endless debate for buhari and jonathan?
I thought the election results have settled the issue. What we need to do is to be patient and TIME will tell who is better. I mean after 4 years we shall know who is better or worst amongst them. Its is too early to judge buhari who has barely settled down in power with jonathan who was around the corridors of power from 1999 to 2015; as deputy governor and governor in 1999-2007; and in asso rock as vive president and president between 2007 and 2015; and more specifically as president from 2010 - 2015.
Again, TIME will tell when buhari has spent 4 years on the seat of power. They were very patient, they waited like dummy bystanders and defended Jona endlessly for 6 years while Nigeria crumbled and rendered bankrupt with wholesale corruption, lawlessness, impunity and grand incompetence, but they are quick to shout, demand change and a New Nigeria in less than 30 days. Trust me, they care less about Nigeria, these are regional bigots, hate mongers, biafran anti Nigeria elements. |
