The bottom line is Fashola could still have done ten times better than He did, but the sad part is given all these same resources, most other Governors would have performed much woefully. You are talking of Lagos!, Nigeria has much more money. What can we even say Mr GEJ has done with ithuh Instead He is removing subsidy; He is increasing import dutyhuh. If you compare the generated revenue of lagos per the population, then you would even find that the state is poorer than the Oil producing state, what can you see in those stateshuh IN THE LAND OF THE BLIND THE ONE EYED MAN IS THE KING. This is our story.

I don't have time for senseless and illogical argument.

Budgets is what states work with at the end of the day regardless of your IGR and allocations and it determines what they can do and can not do in terms of infrastructure and service delivery.

Akwa Ibom has more budget money than Lagos state. Yes or No. Answer is YES.

How many major projects did Akwa Ibom finished with the largest budget in Nigeria? A few roads and 1 stadium. FACT or prove me wrong if you can, but I know you can not and wont even try...

Please don't quote me again if you can not use your brain, be logical and articulate with facts..

I read everything you posted and my reply was a reflection of that you posted.

1. You argued that he has few projects on the ground and he uses the media to hype them up which was just ignorant and absurd because facts remain that the media report what's on the ground and not what's not on the ground.

If the media is talking about lekkii bridge, it's because Fashola built it and the media report his work everyday because he commissions projects everyday.

If akpabio commissions project everyday, the'll report it everyday same way they reported the only stadium project he commissioned apart from the few roads after 8 nears in office.

Tell us what he commissioned last week, last month and even last year and even the year before. NOTHING.

So, exactly what do you want the media to report or hype? They hyped his few roads and stadium and that's all, nothign more to hyoe.

No new schools to hype

No new hospitals to hype

No nee clinics and maternity centers to hype

No skills centers to hype

No state institutions to hype

No visionary projects to hype

Also places like Enugu, Anambra, Aba and that entire region did not build anything or commissioned anything so there's nothing for the media to hype and the folks from that region on NL can not show us anything from that region because there is nothing to show hence latching on to Akwa Ibom as if Akwa Ibom is their's.

I have no problem with you spewing your pointless and illogical rubbish, just push it elsewhere with the unintelligent and ignorant folks on NL because I have facts and knowledge on my side to shut you down with...

A simple example things not done right is the Lighting on the Lekki toll road, sometimes you drive by and it's so dark because the lights are off making it dangerous for pedestrians. Really who wants to have to go through the ordeal of knocking down someone in Lagos with all the jungle justice shh around.

I know power is a Federal issue, but since the road is a tolled PPP project, I'd have expected that at the very least, they gave us constant lighting there given the speeds of the cars and the high rates at which pedestrians cross the road.

In this example alone, there seems to be no excuse not to deliver the best as I believe just 1 month revenue from that tolling both would be enough to either fit individual solar panels on each pole, have a solar farm just for the lights, of have a dedicated plant to service those lights.

With one of its illustrious sons as the nation’s president, Otuoke has etched itself on the world map. One place that stands on the right as you drive into the linear town is the President’s first alma mater, St. Stephen’s Primary School (now State School, Otuoke), Bayelsa State. A visit to the 77-year-old school, where President Goodluck Jonathan started his primary education, was a revealing experience. Senior Correspondent, EVELYN OSAGIE, who visited the school before they vacated penultimate week Thursday, reports

Of what use is our discussion especially about our own country if all we do is spew baseless utterances with no truth or facts to back it up with.

Fashola is my Governor and I back up everything I say about him with facts and even pictures.

Tell me one thing about him you think he's not doing and I'll prove you wrong with facts and even pictures..

We don't get on the internet like other folks and spew what we can not back up with facts...

I'm a Nigerian and I know what every state governor is doing and not doing and even sef, they all have whatever projects they have going on on their websites, it's in their budgets and allocations so you can not lie to us or try to pull a fast one.

Just like akpabio, with all his largest budget in Nigeria, all he has to show for it is one completed football pitch and the few toads in Uyo and I dare you or any of his supporters to prove me wrong.

Apabio budgets money for Ibaka seaport every year, but the project to this very second is not in the FG's gazette, it's not on record anywhere and even the road leading to the site is still thick bush, even fence sef no dey.

Please tell us who is pocketing the billions he budgets every year for the still invisible seaport.

Amaechi next door has less money than Akwa Ibom, but Amaechi not only built a stadium, he actually built a sports complex with 10,000 more seats than the football pitch in Akwa Ibom.

Amacehi built bridges, roads, some of the best hospitals in Nigeria, some of the best schools in Nigeria.

But Akwa Ibom with mote resources did not built one single classroom, not one single hospital, the nursing school in Akwa Ibom was shut down because of poor and unfounded facilities.

Akwa Ibom today is completely broke and can not pay state workers.

After 8 years in office with the largest state budget in Nigeria, only one completed stadium and a few roads in Uyo/One single location and the state is completely broke?

You got to be shitting me...

Akwa Ibom is Not Broke - Commissioner

Uyo — The Akwa Ibom State government has described as baseless and outrageous reports that the state is broke.

The state Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Akan Okon, in an interview with newsmen in Uyo, said: "Such misinformation is capable of undermining the efforts of the present administration which has demonstrated transparency and accountability in the management of resources."

He said it was wrong to peddle such rumour, as the state has not failed in its financial responsibilities to the people.

On the purported N135 billion federal allocation collected by the state between January and June, the commissioner said the amount was a far cry from the over N400 billion appropriated in the 2014 budget for the actualisation of key projects.
Btw, the man lied, theY passed budget was not N400 billion, it was N469 billion with the usual backdoor supplemental addition which this year's was extra N25 billion = N469 + N25 billion = N494 billion. Still the largest state budget in Nigeria..

In 2012, Akwa Ibom passed N397 billion + N125 billion supplementary budget = N522 billion, still the largest budget in Nigeria..

...but today, Akwa Ibom is broke.

Again, governors with far less resources built roads, bridges and even sports complex and still managed to build tens of hospitals, schools and many many more.

You can spew all the ignorant rubbish because of your tribal and political nonsense, but you can not spew away facts and figures...

With all the exon crap you listed, what states work with at the end of the day after putting their taxes and allocation together is their yearly budgets.

Akwa Ibom's yearly Budgets are larger than Lagos state's budget by at least N100 billion.

In 2013 Lagos state's total IGR/year is 240 billion and fed allocation is 168 billion = 408 billion

The budget for 2013 is 497 billion.

It means Lagos state still with 20 million people have to look elsewhere to make up the difference to get to the 489 billion budget...

Akwa Iboms budget for the same year was 469 billion + 70 billion supplemental = 539 billion

497 billion and 539 billion, please tell us who is richer and should be able to commission projects everyday?

Why is Fashola with less money than Akwa Ibom commissioning projects everyday while Akwa Ibom doesn't? Have you asked yourself the above question?

It's common sense and self explanatory, but you people for some weird reason just play dumb and clueless..

Akwa Ibom Psychiatric School of Nursing Shuts Down Over Lack Of Infrastructure By Dave Emma

The Akwa Ibom State School of Psychiatric Nursing located in Eket Local Government Area has been shut down after the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) de-accredited all the courses of the school.

Psychiatric School of Nursing now competing
for space with mushroom churches
A source in the school told this reporter in a phone chat yesterday. He maintained that after the NMCN carried out investigation last year and warned the school management that it was going to deactivate all the
courses of the school if nothing was done in twelve months to renovate and equip the school. But after a year the body which is responsible for the regulation of school of nursing, psychiatric school and other allied health institutions in country launched another investigation in March this year and discovered that instead of improving, the learning environment of the school was further deteriorating. This informed it decision of deactivating all the causes which led to the closing down of the school in April this year
The principal of the school Mr. Asuquo Umoh confirmed the sinister development but added that the government was working round the clock to reverse the unfortunate circumstance.

Psychiatric School of Nursing EketAdmin Block inhabited by rodents
“Well, it is true that the courses have been de-accredited but we’ve made the necessary presentation to the government for steps to be taken which could lead to the reinstatement of the courses. And the Akwa Ibom government is doing everything possible to reverse the anomaly.” Mr. Umoh said.
But a senior lecturer in school who preferred anonymity countered the principal’s claim. He stated that several overtures and notifications were earlier given to the government but they fail to act promptly.
” Both written representation and delegation have been made to the government to rescue and remedy the situation for long to forestall a total collapse of school but all entreaties fell on deaf ears. Even right now as I’m talking, the students have been sent home since early this year”
He Expressed concern that the current students who supposed to graduate this year would now have to spend two more years in the school.
“This place doesn’t depict any learning environment. There’s no library, no computer, all the classes suffer leakage during rainy days, even the hostels are not good for animals. The consequence now is that, the final year students may not even graduate in the next two years” the lecturer lamented.

Adede Victor William, an activist and one of the affected students expressed bitterness over the government insensitivity on the students’ plight.
“It is really unbelievable that since the warning was given last year by the NMCN, nothing was done by the government to prevent the de-accreditation of the the entire courses which prompted the closure of the school.” William lamented
The activist took his frustration to further to the social media even as he stated on his Facebook timeline: What kind of world are we now? AKBC, ATLANTIC FM, PLANET FM AND THE REST OF THEM ARE SO, SO BUSY DOING NOTHING! Busy carrying news that are irrelevant to the welfare of the public…But things that has to do with the future of others is a taboo to report. Imaging Schools of Nursing in Akwa Ibom State being shutdown by Nursing Council for several months now, yet no broadcasting cooperation commented on it”

When this reporter visited the school, it was already taken over by makeshift pentecostal churches with sounds of loud speakers reverberating in the school compound.

Fashola is more like a president in his capacity as the Governor of Africa's 5th largest economy. He manages a complicated structure in Lagos.

Akpabio is more like a procurement manager, that basically just waits on exxon and FG for money. His only job is to decide what to spend the money on. The state has little structure to generate a sustainable income. If oil prices crashes today, there will be no water to hydrate that stadiums pitch. Plus Lagos has pretty standard multi-sports stadiums in almost every local government were masses have direct access. Besides how many Junior sporting events, principals cup, NPL, or division II matches would they play in the Uyo stadium..it most likely would be reserved for Super Eagles matches.
what a waste..

how can you say he has only commissioned few roads? like seriously? even on NL haven't you seen pics of many beautiful roads he has commissioned?
I suggest you should listen to his speech of yesterday!
1. His budgets are always over 100 billion more than Lagos state's budget and unlike Lagos with 20 million, he has only 5 million people to take care of. Why is Lagos commissioning projects everyday and apabio is not for years?

2. With that kind of money, there should be more than a few roads and 1 non FIFA regulation football pitch on the ground..

3. Some other states with less money not only built roads and stadium, they built schools, hospitals and many more..

4. With his largest budget in Nigeria, apabio did not build one single classroom

5, he did not build one single hospital

6. What is more important to the people than their health and vitality? A stadium that doesn't get used everyday, every week or even every month? Or a hospital that people go to everyday and every house to stay alive? Of what importance is a stadium to the common man?

7. The useless and misguided ego trip man did not build one single skills center for his people to get needed skills to secure better jobs and better life..

You have a serious problem if you think 8 years in office and a few roads with 1 single football pitch is great bargain for N500 billion plus yearly budget.
