That should not be a problem ordinarily- forgiving your arithmetic error, that is.

However you seem to still have your head in the clouds with plenty of CONFUSION:

How long should be about time no huh
Na how you come dey talk about cost? Pehaps a Freudian slip or guilty conscience of the billions declared as spent for the PHANTOM, unending project angry

Please try and sort your head out first before we can talk about forgiveness.
You said more than three & a half years ago- May 2011

^^^^ So, based on your own date. Please tell us how long it takes to build a 27.5 km metro rail with ten lane freeway, BRT lane, multiple metro stations, multiple overhead bridges, a metro bridge across the Lagos Lagoon, power plants to run the metro system including the fact they they have to import nearly everything needed for the project?

stop regurgitating the same crap.

Leave that hinterland osogbo enclave and come over to Abuja and see 10 lane roads.
The Abuja rail is upcoming and should be finished by next year.

Stop comparing Lagos state to the FG. That is not a reasonable guage.

And also stop using the excuse of FG shortfalls to make your scam LASG look good.

The question on ground is : Is the Lagos Light Rail operational?

Old man, i know you don't give up easily.
How can you compare the locating of MS, GOOGLE or MTN data centers to Political party data centers.
Businesses can compete but they don't physically attack each other offices/data centers, but political parties do attack opponent offices.
Its more harmful for political parties to expose the location of their data centers.
But your DSS claimed they raided the office because nothing shows its an APC office ironic.
What kind of law enforcement opines such rubbish? If they can not accurately investigate and tell who and what belongs to who in this country and all they have to go by is sign posts and flags, then we are all in serious trouble.

This is pretty much a worthless, rif raf rag tag agency.

You said your FG is building similar metro rail in Abuja and I asked you the following questions so answer or just keep quiet and admit that there's nothing similar about both projects...

Is your federal government building a 10 lane freeway too with metro and BRT lanes attached too

Is your federal government building multiple brick and mortar metro stations too?

Is your federal government building multiple overhead bridges too?

What would you call what happened on this thread:

more than three & a half years ago- May 2011 huh
People's Congress, APC out of Lagos
Los angeles with larger budget and sophisticated facilities and building capacity built 26km LA-Pasadena metro rail (Metro rail only) in 3 years with labor and materials available right there in the US, without 10 lane road construction, without overhead bridges, without building power plants to run the trains

So, with our unintelligent, crooked and village construction and engineering knowledge, it should take the same amount of time to build a 27.5 km metro rail with ten lane freeway, BRT lane, multiple metro stations, multiple overhead bridges, a metro bridge across the Lagos Lagoon, power plants to run the metro system including the fact they they have to import nearly everything needed for the project?

2. You mean your federal government invested billions in ancient locomotives in 2014 because Lagos state is yet to finish their metro rail project?

3. What's similar about both projects?

Is your federal government building a 10 lane freeway too?

Is your federal government building multiple brick and mortar stations too?

Is your federal government building multiple overhead bridges too?

Is your federal government building metro rail and rail bridge over the marina

Lagos Metro rail is the largest public works project in Africa as we speak, it's the kind of project sovereign nations engage in and also what your federal government can not even dare to perform.

The same road was your FG responsibility which as usual they neglected for decades so what's sweeting your unintelligent brain? Your FG failure that Lagos state is correcting?

I know many of you are ignorant and unintelligent, but Please stop displaying this rubbish openly. You even make your FG look bad and grossly incompetent...
Politics › Re: Why We Raided A Computer Office In Lagos - DSS by aresa: 4:26pm On Nov 23, 2014
The building in question has no signboard indicating that it is APC office. We monitored the place for about two weeks after the petition before we got in. When we got in today (Saturday), we saw over 50 computer sets with about 18 staff.

Other political parties have signboards and signposts indicating that it is their office. There was nothing indicating that it belonged to a political party.
This is how a modern intelligence agency figure out what belongs who and who belongs to what.

Just by looking for sign board, sitting and watching from across the street...

Crookedness and incompetence runs deep in this administration from top to bottom.

How low can this country sink?

I am so sure you are an IT person. No IT person will buy this story dss is selling. Imagine them expecting a sign board at a data center! Who does that? Like you said, dss doesn't need to invade any office to catch the hackers, all they need to do is to set up a honey pot to attract the hackers. A lot of folks here talking about what they do not know.
They need to bury their heads in shame with the sign excuse and Nigerians really need to question why they are funding this shameful, incompetent, corrupt and politically compromised organization called DSS.

Imagine a secrete and investigative agency judging ownership and occupancy by signpost like a common roadside civilian..

Is this how they investigate, run a secrete and investigative agency? Do they not have access to investigative tools and well trained investigators and even people with basic common sense to determine ownership like who the building belong or who rented the building, who is paying the rent, the identities of the folks entering and leaving the building including their background via background checks. These are basic investigative procedures that ordinary private investigators do everyday with ease.

Imagine this useless people saying they did their investigation by just sitting and looking from across the street for 2 weeks? I'm trying hard not to laugh because this is not only shameful and embarrassing, it's also very dangerous and troubling..

Imagine the FBI coming up with the same absurd and embarrassing rubbish.

Also, if their intention was what they claimed, why destroy valuable and potential evidence? Obviously, they had clear knowledge per the house and APC, they specifically went in there to sabotage and destroy based on political orders from their masters...

The most damaging aspect of this blunder remains the fact that we fund and expect this agency to serve and protect us from evils like BH, but so far, seems their only focus and responsibility is to fight political battles and the opposition. They can not even investigate or secure intelligence to protect us against BH, but they have all the time in the world just like the Nigerian police to continuously engage in political fights.

They have zero intelligence to see BH coming from miles away to kill Nigerians and take over our territory, but they have time and intelligence when it comes to the opposition.

Again, I feel like laughing, but this is just too sad and troubling..

Ngwakwe:
The Executive holds the sword . . . the Legislature commands the purse. The Judiciary, on the contrary, has no
influence on spending but legality and rule of law

A near universal rule is that “the legislature of the state is the custodian of national purse.” It holds the purse of the State.

www.yourarticlelibrary.com/constitution/legislature-meaning-functions-and-types-of-legislature/40337/
The Universal saying says the buck stops at the president's table.

1. It really doesn't matter how much money the FG budgets for this and that as long as the country prosper and the citizenry benefits from the country's budgets and revenue.

2. the problem here remains the fact the citizenry is getting poorer and the issues they tasked the president to tackle are multiplying with no end in sight.

3. The reason for the poor effects of the nation's revenue and budgets remains mismanagement, official waste and corruption perpetrated by the people the president hires while he looks the other way.

4. Part of the $500 billion are stolen funds from the pensions commission and other government agencies supervised by the executive.

5. We have ministries fleecing the country away openly with ridiculous nonsense like buying petrol and servicing power generators in countries where electricity is more than stable.

6. We have ministries budgeting money for boats and railway in land lock foreign missions and the president and his budget office looked the other way..

7. Fuel subsidies billions? Where are the perpetrators and how many of them are in jail?

8. The missing $10 billion nko? Where are we on that?

9. Your president supervises the law enforcement agencies and hires their administrators, but the same president turns a blind eye and hire the same crooks his own EFCC are investigating for embezzlement..

9. What the legislature budgets in terms of salaries is irrelevant, what's relevant is the operating budgets and generated revenues per federal institutions, agencies and ministries from NNPC down to NPA, pensions commission.

Lastly, the president is the leader and leadership sets the tone. If as a leader your stance against corruption reads no big deal like the president's poor body language and utterances in favor of corruption and also dishing out national awards to corrupt and incompetent people, then corrupt atmosphere kicks in for the rest of the country to follow.

GEJ is a very bad, very corrupt, disastrous and irresponsible leader...

Thanks for the quick reply,

Misusing words in the Nairaland Context is simply using "Universally accepted Derogatory Terms to fellow Humans". We would continue to Ban such "Comments" while we consistently encourage people to be more Responsible and consider People's feelings in their Choice of words in order not to incite negative Emotions of any kind.
Banning people based on whatever manner they desire to express themselves makes no sense? Who determines and quantifies whats derogatory and acceptable or not. What's derogatory to you is not to the next man.

These are the kind of stifling practices crippling NL. You can not be everybody's mama and papa on the internet, if people are too sensitive and can not stand internet back n forth, let them log off and go to Disney land website.

Even such bans and actions disrupts the flow of meaningful conversation and ideas.

SPAMBOTS is another needless impediment that curtails participation and free flow of ideas. This is a discussion forum and we should be able to post links to support and validate the views we share without getting knocked off the site for days. Seriously, how do you grow this site and and encourage participation by banning with SPAMBOTS.

To make matter worse, the mods ignore you and play dumb when you send them message to restore your account after SPAMBOT attack..

Also, NL is too saturated with trolls with nothing better to do but troll around and derail threads all over the place. Trolls are thread killers and they devalue threads and even NL itself.

Anyways, we've raised the same issues a million times and the last time I did, I was banned so of what use and relevance is this redundant exercise?
