What a silly story.

This inevitable wants to trend on the clancy case.making up bullahit story of " my friend".

The girls mother would have killed her before this happened sef. In Nigeria a woman delivers and there's nobody in the house with her. No omugwo or elderly female relative to help.

Schindler's List (1993)..........9.5/10

This is one of the best films ever told about the Jewish massacre or Holocaust as its more popularly known, if not The Best.
It was one of the harshest depictions of war and what war turns men into. The enslavement of jews, persecution and the institutional genocide orchestrated by the German Nazi Party with its Austrian Leader.

The story was set mainly in Poland and the Krakow Concentration Camp/ district. Chronicles the atrocities by the Germans against Polish Jews.
Watching this film and remembering an episode that focused on the Jews in the German concentration camps in Band of Brothers and films depicting Japanese atrocities against mainland Chinese, I'm beginning to have a headscratcher who was more evil between the two; Nazi Germany or Imperialist Japan. Or perhaps they were literally cut from the same clothe but in different continents.

Still on my musings: I'm also left with. a bigger head scratcher as to how Liam Neeson delivered an all-timer performance as industrialist Oskar Schindler, and now mostly known for his overly beaten TAKEN franchise trope of the action star with the motto- I'll find you and I'm going to kill you.

A memorable performance from Ralph Fiennes to play the infamous War Criminal Amon Goeth.

Amon was a ruthless Nazi commander who had a peculiar pleasure for killing needlessly without reason and grew a feared reputation amongst Jews. Dude could shoot you just for being fat or slim. Killed a Jewish civil engineer for being right. And still followed her recommendation after killing her. You never knew your fate with Amon Goeth as a Jew.

Oskar Schindler became a wealthy man who profiteered from the slave labour the Jews provided but at least he was a man with a soul and conscience. Truly cared for his staff and the plight of the Jews and did everything within his power to help them as much as he could. Man showed incredible grit and sense of purpose trying to save thousands of Jews by smuggling in as many Jews as can be into his workers' list-- the Schindler's List, to go work in his Czechslovakia hometown factory under vastly favourable conditions.

After the War and the Germans was defeated, Oskar Schindler became a national hero for the Jewish community that he was recognised by the Jewish state and was buried in Israel upon his death.

One scene that pretty much struck me and stuck to me was Amon Goeth trying to be more merciful after Schindler cajoled and persuaded him into the idea of being a powerful man just by showing mercy to his to his subjects--making his subjects know fully well he wielded the power over their life or death.

Amon struggled with this notion of appealing to his good side-- being a Merciful dictator. But ultimately returned back to default settings in a few days. Which debunks the notion that Wars makes men into beasts and do despicable acts just to one up the enemy.

Its just like the maxim that money doesnt change a man. It only brings out the true character. Same can be said of War and Power.

Easily one of the Best black and white films I've ever watched alongside MANK. The cinematography was top tier and i hardly felt any different or felt missing out from coloured films.

It was a beautiful watch asides the very hard, brutal and dark themes portrayed in the movie. It is one of those hard war movies to watch, almost leaving you miserable especially towards the end. Maybe not as entirely miserable and depressed like the likes of Grave of the Fireflies or Barefoot Gen.

Steven Spielberg na baba no be today. He's cemented himself as one of the most influential Directors of all time. A litle sad man hasn't been able to command the crowd as he used to during his heydeys.

Honest surprise to also see the name of Stephen Zallian. He wrote and produced the beautiful tv show RIPLEY......and in black and white too and I can see the correlation.

While the credits rolled for this film, i was quite surprised to have seen the name Kathleen Kennedy attached to this project. A name that has been associated with the malaise that has affected the Star Wars franchise. I'm quite surprised one could go from a Masterpiece such as this to consistently regurgitating slop two decades later.

3 hours of masterpiece storytelling that i could barely take note of the lengthy screentime. An easy recommend and a reminder of how peak storytelling and pacing was in the 90s.

One of the films you should watch at least once in your lifetime no matter how short life is as a Cinephile.
It is a fantastic movie. Saw it a long time ago. You should check the boy in the striped pajamas too same theme but very depressing ending.

Kathleen Kennedy has always been attached to Spielberg movies as a producer or some pther title Check as far back ET and the Indian Jones franchise, gremlins , Hook, jurassic Park etc. Her name has always been there.

I've been to this place. It's an island to start with and they aren't connected to the national grid. Any electricity you see there is powered by generator.

Even the LGA isn't working. Through out my visit of about 1 week. It was locked up. Only the gate man was here chillng with his guys.

This was over a decade ago and they're still in that condition till date.

They have no water supply, they use the river water to bathe and also defecate into the water. I saw kids swimming in one side and others defecating in the other side at the same time.

It was an eye opening experience.

Tinubu is a cat with nine lives, that is why he is the master strategist of Nigerian propaganda politics.

Lastlas he will release El Rufai to help him again, to mobilise votes in Kaduna and elsewhere while helping the clueless clown answer questions.

Tyrion lannister would be released after elections. He should know by now if he releases him before the election nothing he says would hold value to the man.

He disgraced him at the senate hearing for ministers and now has arrested him. They burnt that bridge and poured fuel in the water underneath and set it in fire.

All I can see around nyesom wike is fear.

He's definitely afraid of something.
He is scared shitless. He has easier that nigerian politics is bigger than pdp and rives state politics. He realises that if tinubu loses the election his life is over in Nigeria.

He would have to leave the country forever because he has dealt with too many people to count and his protection is currently the presidency.

The fact is no matter what happens next year he is done because even if tinubu gets a second term wike has to go too.

His time is almost up politically and he can see it. So he is trying his best to cling to the presidency as a loyalist

$5b is a stretch. No matter how good it is I don't see it going past $3.5b. Well, even with the $3.5b I'll break records and make history.

Actors need to find a way to squeeze more from these sort of movies, i can't accept the fact you're getting paid $20-50m for a movie that is grossing $2.5b for example. It's surreal.

When movies tank, almost all the blames fall to the actors mostly, so when they(the movies) are successful, why don't the actors get rewarded humongously? At least it'll motivate them. Just saying, this is my personal opinion though.
Highest grossing movie of all time loading.......

Why did the sheriff not get along with him? All he asked for was a chance to talk to the guy and he has more experience than her obviously.
She even went ahead to say he wasn't fearless he was just alone.
Even if he wanted to pick a fight with the bar guys why would they be willing to go head on with him despite knowing who he was? It doesnt make any sense.

Health › Re: First Robotics Assisted Surgery At Imo Specialist Hospital (Photos, Video) by armadeo(m): 3:22pm On Aug 24
Rubyjade:
Results, Not Just Announcements

Commending the medical team is fine, but for the public, this should go beyond ceremonies and press statements. If this was truly a groundbreaking robotic-assisted surgery, then let the government show us the results.

What type of surgery was performed? What was the patient's condition before the procedure, and how is the patient doing now? What measurable improvement has the surgery achieved? How many patients can this facility realistically treat, and how accessible is it to ordinary Imo residents?

Healthcare development shouldn't be judged by the presence of impressive equipment or the number of facilities commissioned. It should be judged by outcomes—lives saved, successful procedures, shorter recovery times, affordable treatment and better access to quality care.

The people deserve evidence, not just noise. Show us the surgery, show us the results, and let the success speak for itself.
Dem go call you hater now.

God bless you. I was waiting to see details about the surgery nothing was provided just hailing up amd down.

The invite.
9/10.

Serious movie wrapped up in comedy. Seth Rogen is as always the bomb in delivering " dry bar" comedy. He had me laughing most of the time particularly when the discussion moved sexual.

I really get the movie the end was particularly deep. The conversation between the couple and prnelope cruz ( been a while I've seen her ).

Olivia wilde killed her role moving from anxious to excitement to resentment and finally quiet supportive acceptance.

Edward Norton was also quite good.

The cast killed his movie and if it weren't for the comedic bits I would have said Oscar in the calling.

Worth a watch yes highly recommended.
