He said he wants Anioma in the south South and in another breathe he insinuates the state can't be created. I said it that the Anioma state being championed by Ned is a blow to Okowa. |
lawani:continue making excuses |
fergie001:There is no double speak. Akpabio has supported Anioma state since inception and has stated so openly in various occasions. The presidency is in support of it too. Remi Tinubu from warri reportedly wants warri as new Delta capital. Are you then implying Anioma should become a state overnight because it has federal backing despite the rigourous constitutional processes? Okowa is living on sheriff's gratitude unlike wike who has clout over fubara and is effectively using it. Therefore Okowa has nothing to offer Tinubu and he is showing that. Sheriff was initially being used by Okowa against the Anioma state stuff has been pressured recently to back down. Yea, Ned will beat Okowa in a fair contest. Okowa couldn't win his LG for atiku but wike 'won' Tinubu his state. Directives come from Abuja and it's highly unlikely Tinubu will trust him with APC ticket. Let's see how it goes. |
nedu666:can you show me any Igbo historical text of the 1800 down that referenced Eze as "King"? Traditional Igbo concept of leadership is theocracy rather than monarchy. The ascription of the word "king" to Eze is a colonial making. Etymologically, " Zee" in Igbo means to avoid out of reverence. Hence "Onye Nze" means a revered person. Therefore, Eze is more of a holy person or a priest than a king. Have you ever wondered why Eze nri is called Nri priest? Ever wondered why chief priest is called Eze muo , or why Eze Nwanyi is called priestess? If you also observe keenly instead of rabble rousing, you will notice that most traditional rulers of modern age still attach "Eze" to their Igwe title in recognition of their religious roles. Eze Ndigbo simply means Igbo traditional/religious leader not King. As per the south african issue, we Igbos can end the Eze Ndigbo stuff outside Igboland. But that's our own internal decision not out of pressure from the mere hate of the word Eze by Igbophobic lo*fers. The FG has expectedly done a very poor job at handling the situation and now thinks it can ban a cultural event being organized by Igbos who are citizens in the country they reside. |
fergie001:Okowa has nothing to offer Tinubu either. His performance in the last election has put his clout in serious doubt. He now relies on the governor who is directed by national APC for relevance. "Dying" his efcc case is enough compensation for defection. Tinubu knows giving him senatorial ticket is over ambition. If the presidency valued him as much from the beginning, they would have gotten him on board the Anioma state creation process but the Federal government has continued to support the project despite being on collision course with okowa's political relevance. |
fergie001:Okowa has the APC state chairman via the governor but I doubt the presidency will trust him over Ned. He has fought against Anioma state albeit unsuccessfully despite presidential support for it. He'll likely be asked to step down. |
Instead of appreciating the Igbo helper for the kind gesture you're claiming "we love ourselves" as though the love is mutual. Ingratitude! |
It's also very important to note that the Algerian Arabs, Egyptian Arabs and the amazigh Arabs of Morocco are the dominant groups in their respective countries which gives them significant privilege over Igbos in pursuing their aspirations. So they are like countries of their own compared to Igbos who are systematically marginalized. |
dvdwed:of course the bold is fasle. Delta state state government has invested more in warri than Asaba the capital. The estates, malls, hotels, nollywood etc that made Asaba are private investment mainly from Igbos across the niger. |
Hmmmmm2024:that's not true please. Asaba development is largely from Igbos across the niger. |
I thought you all said the story of helicopter dropping supplies to boko haram and bandits is false |
Whalis:then you have not been following events carefully. Apart from having your so called South South in Biafra, signals from the US indicates that Biafra can come only if we take Northern Christians with us. I'll advice you to prepare your mind for a Biafra consisting of Igbos (Anambra, Enugu,Abia,Imo,Ebonyi Anioma,Rivers) + Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Benue, and parts of nasarawa, plateau, Taraba and southern Kaduna. |
helinues:not like I'm taking you serious. I only quoted you because you reacted like it was fake News. Remember you said Trump wasn't going to do anything, today we have US boots in Nigeria, waiting for a military base. Biafra is another issue that'll humble you guys |

Southwest is terribly governed. |
You can reach out to the US Congress. They don't sit here. |
Write anything you want and allocates percentages and 'statistics' is born. |
You had decades of opportunity to gather yourselves at the table and renegotiate your future but failed. Chattam house article about ten years ago warned that if Nigeria failed to solve it's foundational problems, foreign interests will solve it on their own terms without Nigeria's input. |
I thought they said the state is full of activities. Situation has even worsened as people believe Soludo is endangering lives for political reasons. |
But they couldn't stop the brutal murder of Ogidi PG and one other person on Saturday. Sit at home is not being enforced anywhere in Anambra. The observance is voluntary. |

SmartPolician:how can a street be filled to capacity? The former can be used figuratively you know. |
This is not inside the main market Moreover, on a busy market day, these places you recorded will be filled to the brim that you'll barely be able to stand and record. |
Sit at home never ended at anytime |
Innovation, efficiency, good leadership and accountability are key. |
Vixlot:IGR is divided into tax revenue and non tax revenue such as licences, fees, charges and incomes from government owned businesses. Non tax revenues shouldn't stop being part of the IGR because the region you don't like has killed your propaganda. Non tax revenue constitute half of Ogun state IGR The latest report released by the office of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) confirms the resilience of the state’s economy based on its sustained growth and enhanced revenue-generating capacity. According to the release, Ogun State increased its IGR in 2023 from N120.58 billion to N146.87 billion, made up of N71.67 billion in tax revenues and N75.19 billion.https://punchng.com/reasons-ogun-state-sustains-competitive-edge-economically |
We will watch to see how you will end terrorism without partitioning the country when the government and the security forces you're all partnering with also partner with the terrorists, according to victims' testimonies. |
99thEnemy:over 6 Igbos have won Grammy |
LottiOk:he never denied plans of division. He is only warning that sensationalizing it will "embolden separatism" and create tension and instability, and this will endanger the lives of Christians, especially in the north. Do some research. It happened during the partitioning of India and Pakistan. |
Those who misunderstand the language of diplomacy will think he is endorsing one Nigeria. |
