Streetinvestor2:
Anything of SE and SW in the same sentences must be a joke taken too far.We have nothing in common
they are forming CODES with fictitious Biafran agitators when their own beloved brother is the president of same Nigeria and they can simply walk up to him and demand the so called de-amalgamation. These are the same idi*ts telling Igbos to go through their elected representatives to actualise Biafra. They have now avoided their brother Tinubu to scream de-amalgamation in US. This is why nobody trust them, absolutely nobody!
PoliticsRe: Trump Please Give Us Niger Delta Republic by Armaggedon: 8:19am On Jan 26
The idea of a "Niger Delta Republic" doesn't fit any template for solving Nigeria's foundational ethno-religious or value-system problems. It lacks historical backing, isn't rooted in a religious or ethnic category, and doesn't even correspond to a coherent geographical region. The "Neither Deltan" identity is a fabricated, temporary construct invented by Nigeria's predatory, anti-Igbo ruling class—a ploy to divide resource-bearing communities from their parent ethnic groups and dodge accountability. This explains why they never genuinely fight for self-determination. The "Niger Delta Republic" notion typically emerges not from Deltans themselves when they're exploited, but from non-Deltans precisely when Biafra agitation intensifies—because they recognize Biafra as the path to true accountability.

Ezeama400:
If Islam is good as they are pushing this narrative , it would have penetrated smoothly in Igbo land. Unfortunately Islam can not thrive in Igbo land because our culture abhors such religion .

Muslim don’t believe in Alcohol, even tho they drink it more secretly.. Igbos can’t do without Alcohol and kola nut ..

Wedding and traditional marriage, alcohol must be involved( Palm wine). Events and gathering cannot be complete without alcohol. This is just one of the reasons Islam can never grow in Igbo land..

If Igbos didn’t embrace Islam years ago, is it now the whole western world is cracking down on the activities of Islamic fanatics all over the world after seeing what they are upto that they would embrace it ?

I would rather worship a tree, than to be a Muslim..
the most important distinction perhaps is the fact that Islam permits cousins marriage, but in Igboland it's not just an abomination but nsoani, which means that whatever your religion, you can't practice the abomination in Igboland

IslamRe: Igbo Muslim Lady Raises Alarm Over Safety Of Muslims In Nsukka by Armaggedon: 12:00pm On Jan 02
Government sponsored propaganda from an attention seeking tiktoker.

99% of Muslims living in Nsukka are from Northern Nigeria. They enjoy more safety there than in the north. The Nigeria government is currently on an albeit failed mission of framing a narrative of Muslim persecution in the east.
They do not realize that apart of virtually having no Igbo who is Muslim, the expression "Igbo Muslim" which they enjoy to promote as a government is in itself ethnic profiling.

PoliticsRe: How Igbophobia Drove Ni***ria Into Being A Predatory State by Armaggedon: 5:52pm On Dec 19, 2025
ebukal67x:
Igbophobia is not the reason Nigeria is a predatory state. The predatory nature of the Nigerian state is a product of the incentives created by the oil economy. Until we confront the oil economy, we will continue to have this conversation in circles.
the article is clear, intelligently written and needs no explanation. Yes! Igbophobia is the reason. Most Nigerians and their elites believe that if the crude oil continues being under the control of the Igbo dominated eastern region, Igbo hardwork culture and enterprise will take preeminence over the resource extraction, just like the way it is in the southeast today where the economy has continued to function despite humongous gas reserves. This was a threat to greedy elites as they would be served. That's why the civil war was driven by serious anti-Igbo sentiment to portray Igbos as overlords who prevented the lazy eastern minorities from achieving their dream laid-back lifestyle of merriment without hardwork. Most of them bought the propaganda because that was the utopian lifestyle they wanted. Even state creation gerrymandering was dictated by crude oil reserves. They even had to starve Igbos of access to ports thinking they were doing Igbos. Have ever seen a country that deliberately prevent itself from developing and expects to develop?

Any foreigner that spends few months in Nigeria will quickly notice that most Nigerians behave as though they are trying to prove a point against the Igbos. They suffer but are always quick to console themselves with statements like "Southeast is landlocked" "southeast is barren" "Igbos are land grabbers "
These statements result from post civil war elite propaganda hangover on greedy Nigerians.

Op is right.

CSTRR:
Thank you, captain obvious.
Yes, those men are majority owners for a reason, and they represent anioma interests.
Publicly listing their companies does not stop it from being anioma owned.

And it will remain anioma-owned till the end of time.

The real question is, what exactly do you have to contribute to anioma, apart from clannishness and insecurity?
Despite outnumbering the anioma nation atleast 10:1, you can't even boast of a world class multinational organization.

What do you want to give anioma that we don't already have, or are not capable of creating on our own?
you're obviously a 🤡 and I shouldn't have engaged you. It's seriously doubtful you're from Anioma. Be ranting all day on a topic but when someone spares time to engage you, your dimw*t will show and you go back to spewing usually bigotry and emotions.
If you want to railroad me into unhealthy comparison between Igbos and Igbos across the Niger, then you're on failed mission. Asaba is economically dominated by southeasteners who will likely determine its future. Anioma also benefits more in southeast. You can rant on bro.

you are really deluded and living in Stockholm syndrome. Awka, Enugu, Owerri can't even measure up to Asaba, this deluded civet is talking of aba. Aba can't even measure up to agbor Isele-uku and environs he is talking of Asaba.

So if you are a big boy nah aba you go dey live
Asaba has has suddenly become your new Abuja. The same Asaba that exist by tapping current from Onitsha. Asaba is growing and cool but only in the same level as Awka. It's nowhere near Enugu or Owerri. Enugu and Owerri are the two best state capital cities in Nigeria outside portharcourt. It's therefore an insult to compare it with Enugu and Owerri. What Asaba has going for it is the Igbo method of city building characterised by modern planning, layout and rapid development of beautiful residential estates, malls, hotels etc Non Igbos are thrilled by it owing to the lack of such aesthetically pleasing environment In their place.

Asaba and Awka are in the same level. Aside airport there is not Asaba has that is lacking in Awka.
The only people who want anioma in South South are the politicians who want a share of humongous allocation of Delta state.

Can you give me the name of any public listed company from the south east on the same level with Zenith bank and UBA.?
Those ones are too big.

What of Seplat?
BTW, the SE is more than 10 times the population of the anioma ethnic group.
public listed companies are owned by the shareholders and don't belong to any one individual or regions. So, no need mentioning companies from the east, since these ones are technically part of them. Jim ovia and elumelu are the largest shareholders of the respective companies. Only the likes of IVM and airpeace can be described as companies "from east" since their owners are from the southeast.
Mind telling me why you keep mentioning seplat?

I'm still waiting for you to tell me what Anioma has benefitted from being part of the southsouth?

Can you give me the name of any company from the SE that is as big as zenith or uba?

If you can't, then you should know that anioma has nothing to gain joining the SE.
zenith bank and UBA are public listed companies. It has shareholders which include to a very large extent, people from the southeast . You can't compare it with the likes of innoson and airpeace in terms of exclusive ownership. Some of you are seriously afflicted with ignorance. Anioma is not gaining anything from southsouth and has not gain anything from southsouth, if you know any, tell me. It appears it hasn't gained anything in the south east because southeasterners are pouring development there with no strings attached. Infrastructural development in Asaba from southeasterners with nollywood are the only things Asaba has benefitted since its creation as state capital. South South gave it nothing!
Anioma will benefit most for being a state. It will join the south east development commission and NDDC while benefitting from Eastern free investment which has given Asaba a faster growth rate than warri.

PoliticsRe: Insecurity: Muslims Have Been Killed Than The Christians In Nigeria by Armaggedon: 9:14am On Dec 13, 2025
helinues:
The killings in North for decades now, Muslims have been the one affected most. The killings in Southern regions are random.

No religion denomination faith members have been killed than the Shiite group in Nigeria.

In General, Muslims have been the most killed, most displaced and most affected with the killings across the country.

Should we now say there is a Muslim persecution in Nigeria?
Muslims have been killed by who and for what reason?
Christians and moderate Muslims have been murdered by Muslim terrorists and the Muslim controlled government of Nigeria has done nothing to stop it. It's called genocide.
