Someone just used my moniker to scam on another thread which involved three people: The victim, The escrow(the one that used my moniker) and the buyer. They did the transaction via WhatsApp and when the victim asked what the escrow moniker was, he said AROFX(which is my moniker). The victim went ahead without doing any verification here on nairaland and now he was scammed. I have been accused wrongly and i hope my MONIKER is cleared of this very soon because it's traumatizing.

Please anyone could be a victim of this. We should be smarter in our dealings. There is a thread that contains list of trusted exchanger in here @Ladyfx and @Legalwealth are among the most trusted exchanger in here.


It very easy for anyone to claim anybody. It is the duty of you to verify carefully if the person has ever rendered such service, rendering such service, quote the moniker on threads like this to know if people has transacted with him @least 5.


I don't even know how to clear this stain off my name anyone could be a victim of this. I just wish those bastards are tracked and arrested

Scammers are everywhere. Before you deal with anyone, you need recommendation. I have transacted with @LadyF before. Before doing so, i did my due diligence. I clicked on her moniker and went through all her post to be sure if she was clean and no one ever accused her before. I asked for recommended and was told she was trustworthy.


Someone just literally popped up from no where claiming from nairaland that he is so so so and you didn't verify.


I am sorry that wasn't me and will never be me. Anyone could claim anybody to whoever they want off nairaland but the moment you come here, quote the moniker, it will surely show in his mentions and he would come forward to verify himself and so on...

I sent money to the escrow around 8:16 yesterday and since then both of them haven't been online. Called and the both numbers are off, that can't be coincidental right? Please who know about these guys, should I be worried now?

But if the buyer wants a transfer, he will have to wait till transfer lock is over.
