Good evening house. Please I need a headup urgently. In 2018,I applied for Postgraduate Diploma programme in Economics. My Visa application was denied.
My academic background : I'm a First class graduate from University of Ibadan, department of Economics Education. I just concluded my Masters last December from University of Lagos.
A family friend encouraged that I apply for a short program of one year. The program is a diploma course.
My concerns: The course is not a progression of my academic background. However,it's a program that's not yet run in Nigeria.
Please what's your take on this? Anyone that can help ,please?Should I go ahead or start looking for PhD.programme in Canada ?
I am 37 years,married with three kids.
I will advise u try Ph.D for academic progression also there are more opportunities for Ph.D programmes with full funding |
Our first child is 3 months old. Wife had the child through CS. During pregnancy, she stopped intercourse at 7 months. After her delivery, she agreed to sex twice recently after what looks like begging.
I'm planning to stop asking her for sex forever. I'm a playful somebody and she tries to avoid me playing with her.
Is it the childbirth that caused this?
Bros though women (wives) are diff with their responses to sex but be sure that with pregnancy, childbirth and child upbringing, her sex life might change. Her utmost attention is the child now and be ready for times when she will tell u she's tired to have sex but immediately stand up to attend to the child when she hears any cry. Pls speak with her let her know u want her but be ready to have a significant drop in the number of times u normally have sex with. |

I dey feel you. This na reality blackfarmer1510: Hello Guys,
I arrived Canada on the 1st of September. It has not been easy. If I knew what I know now I would have thought seriously about this school thing. God has been merciful to me. My advice to anyone coming to BC...don't count on the idea that you can work part time to pay your fees or survive here. I live in Vancouver Island and attend VIU. Most of my classmates are Indians and most of them are only interested in getting residence. They get visa easily and can take a loan from their local bank to deposit money for their fees. If you ever get into project groups with them you are on your own. You will do the work yourself because they really don't care about their grades.
If you are coming to VIU or anywhere in BC, please come with Nigerian food stuffs like dry pepper and palm oil. Its very expensive. Don't joke o. Carry indomie..it is a life saver. I came with Garri Ijebu and groundnut. I came with pepper soup spice (fish and meat is cheap). Come with umbrella, rain boot and rain coat...it rains like hell in Vancouver and Vancouver Island but its not as cold as the other parts of the freezer (Canada is freaking cold...no bi joke) I brought all the Igbo food stuffs I can carry and forgot income. Please carry coffee and milo. You will thank me for it.
I stayed at an airbnb for one week before I found a house. Its not cheap and also because I wanted my family to join me I needed to get a bigger house and used the rent agreement in the visa application for my family. I applied for their visa on the 23rd and they received approval last two weeks.
People on this island are seem nice (like British nice..they pretend). There are jobs during holidays like now..everyone is hiring part-time workers. People here will tell you that come January...it is dry. No Work!!!
My advice to anyone coming to BC or even Canada; go and learn something. Guys, if you can learn how to cut hair..you will be very comfortable. You won't need to do any silly part time work. Ladies if you can learn to weave hair and fix weavon...you will be ok..trust me...you will be a big shot!. Don't come here thinking you can just do part time work and pay your fees without getting into trouble. I am not saying you can't wing it but trust me even if you work 20 hours a week which is the maximum you can work as a student...you still can't do more than manage to pay your rent and barely survive. If you are on th MBA program then forget it. Canada is looking for talents and not C grade students. They now look at your transcript when you apply for post graduate work permit or apply for PR. Don't think you can wing it...you need time to study.
BC is the most beautiful; place I have ever been in my life...trust me I have travelled to 16 countries including 20 states in the US and most of Europe. BC is wild beauty and you wonder what tourism potentials we really have in Naija. When you come here you will fall in love with nature. They also don't have good food. There is nothing like Canadian food. It doesn't exist. Their food no sweet...simple and short (I am a foodie and chef so I authoritatively tell you). Nigerians here are the worst people I have ever met. When they get here they see you and ignore or avoid you. I understand why the ladies will do that...you no bi oyibo and you no fit give them paper. But for guys...thats silly. Some of them try to speak with oyibo accent. For God's sake I had this accent since I was a child so stop it...it doesn't fit you...lol
I wish everyone applying for visa good luck. If you are coming to Vancouver Island University please let me know if you need any information or help. I can point you towards things like accommodation etc. If you are here and plan to bring your family...I can share my experience with you. If you are applying for a visa I have an advice for you; ask God to let his Will be done. I am not sure I will have the time to help review applications because I have exams starting next week till second week in December. Afterwards I will have all the time in the world.
Cheers |

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by aroj05: 6:06pm On Oct 11, 2019 |
Bimmy35: Nope, no scholarship. Hope u have all your school fees available cos MBA in the sch is research based on all the courses and class attendance is compulsory (any student that misses 8 hrs lectures during the 2 yrs program will be reported to immigration) thereby making work and study difficult. But u can still work for 20 hrs per week but the pay can only cater for living expenses and not sch fees |

Cocotini: Hello everyone.i have been silently following.please help a sis out .i want to apply to study bút havê a 2yeār old. question is how easy will it be to cope with her and school if possible Work too at thesame time in canada.does anyone know some oňe thãt has gońe downthăt path.also how şőòň oř easý iš it to get spouse open work peřmit.my intended coúrsė is msć environmental science or msc conservation biology Hmmm If u can come with your husband that would be the best thing so that he can work full time and earn better pay. Working as a student has restrictions like; just 20hrs a week resulting in lower pay, very stressful in relation to your studies, day care is very expensive except the province you are going has free day care offer, also erase d mindset of working as a student to pay your next semester sch fees u must have at least 1yr sch fees advisable the whole sch fees cos to save as a student is very hard u will have to deprive ursef of some essentials including food even at dat its very hard. Some pple will not tell u wat they going ooo. So prepare ur mind. The best bet is getting PR from naija b4 coming if u want to work and earn good pay |

Above all, we just trusted God for it. My wife & daughter's visa was approved in Nairobi - Kenya and noticed that visa was even issued on August 23, 2018 prior to my travel. When I arrived Canada, I sent them a copy of my study permit (September 6, 2018) and Letter of enrolment- SOWP and TRV was already approved before I sent it; guess somebody forgot to send out the passport - only to see an email from VFS for the collection of their passport same day.
It is always good to check with them. My study was approved in less than 3weeks but I got it after 6weeks - when I wrote Nairobi, they replied same day that my case was finalized weeks back(same day, I got an email from VFS)...
For those waiting.. trust him and I am sure it will end in praise. |

Thanks bracha quote author=Bracha post=78687193]I think your admission can be deferred. But, you must ask the school for either a new acceptance letter or a statement or letter from them which would enable you explain things better at the port of entry.
While the visa will be for a specified time, usually for a period less than your study period, your visa can be renewed after you've entered Canada.
Just get your visa first, then you can go from there.
|

Thanks for the response. But what kind of long run cost are we looking at. OptimusPrime21: If you get an approval and decide to defer your admission, it's possible but your visa starts counting the moment you are handed your visa at that vfs office...so deferring an admission after getting a visa is possible but could cost you in the long run |
