Na so Europeans take possess America and Australia. Na Africans still de do yeye tribalism. People that prosper are people that value what a person carries not his race or skin color. Most of our best professionals have migrated, adding value and got integrated into other societies. While somebody go stay in his small hut in one smelly place and be claiming landlord and disenfranchising his fellow blacks because of “tribe”.

ILoveNG: Just because you want to defend US, you failed to read.
Those countries including Nigeria are not being accused of Forced labor. They accused them of importing goods made with forced labor.
They are simply sanctioning those African countries because they are trading and importing from people they don’t like (China if you look closely) My bad! But then why are you blaming a president for putting his country first? If our leaders have been doing same we would be in a position of strength when dealing with the international community. Today if USA withholds fund from WHO, Africa is in crisis. |

Ironfaceman: I don't think there are humans any more in the white house. All I see there are vampires.
Putting Nigerian on a list that contravenes forced labor law is laughable. In Nigeria there's no forced labor but people are force to do hazardous jobs because of the high poverty rate and very low profitable jobs.
Any increase on tax tariff on Nigerian businesses Will increase the poverty rate and swell the number of people forced to do hazardous jobs because of hunger Instead of you to focus on African governments that care less about workers welfare and rights you are blaming USA that cares about her own economy and citizens. |

Business › Re: TEMU Fined $232 Million For Breaching EU Rules On Sale Of Illegal Products by Arostar2023: 4:44pm On May 30 |
Amerengues2: Most of those commenting don't understand the gimmicks and antics at play.
This is, though a genuine concern but largely a pretext to the real challenge.
There are growing concerns in the UK, US etc for local manufacturers, Amazon, eBay, NEXT, Argos, Curry etc. Since the advent of Temu, most of the sales of these big companies have kinda dwarfed compared to projections.
Their complaints, though genuine, arose from cost of production. Temu is super cheap because of the model and the exemption from the UK company for some goods and value of items.
1) Temu is Manufacturers to Consumer- it takes a lot to beat that
2) 90% of Temu Sellers don't pay for logistics- they only take their goods to Temu Warehouse in China thereby selling at a ridiculously low fee as Temu helps ship to their destination country.
3) Once you are a seller, you can't raise your price down once it's set and the algorithm is designed to always serve you lowest prices first hence the cheap prices and this drives down sales and lower demand on other companies like Amazon, eBay, etc.
4) Temu is intentionally currently running at a loss to capture the market. This is largely disruption big companies as they've amassed a good proportion of the market share.
Etc. I can keep typing and typing....I found out all these recently when I went into deep research. Temu is popular in climes where prices come before quality and safety. Unfortunately, European companies can’t gamble on selling toxic junks to their consumers. Lawsuits arising from such actions would bankrupt them. |

IronCondemned: Oga I am a staunch Peter Obi supporter but that doesn't make me not to critique him when I see something going wrong.
Obi should move around his Southern base, enter the Western heartland and build support base by choosing leaders there who can mobilise grass roots support for him. Also, enter the South South, South East and build same base, dislodge APC structure even if he will not take all, at least take reasonable numbers. Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Cross River, Delta and Edo needs serious grass root support base. Stop depending only on Obidients and crowds that cheer you whenever they see you. Educate these people on the need to go and register and get voters cards.
A hungry man will vote for that one thousand naira and Tinubu evil rice because that's the only thing that he knows at that moment. Educate the electorate on why they don't have to do that. Build leaders at the grass roots, provide logistics support, not sharing money as we all know that he will never give money but at least open offices by supporting them with funds.
A stitch in time saves nine. Nigerians neva ready for positive change. Obi should go around reorienting Nigerians on what good governance is, abi? Dem neva suffer finish. |
Politics › Re: INEC Disowns Political Parties’ Membership Figures Released By APC Chairman by Arostar2023: 7:35pm On May 27 |
IronCondemned: HONESTLY! Peter Obi is not serious. I have been asking this same question, does he want everything to be delivered to him on the platter of gold? Even in the US, Trump had to fight hard if not they would have rigged him out again.
I ask again, what is he moving up and down like cholera going to other countries for photo shoots with crowds that won't vote on election day instead of meeting people at home, speak out with strong tone and contest this concoction of primary election because it is a pre rigging strategy.
While Kwankwaso is in his region building base and handing over flags, Obi won't haven’t done anything on ground. He is banking on Obidients movement who mostly don't have voters cards. Man really need to learn Nigerian kind of politics where the strong take it by force. You and Ironface are obviously same. Why attack Obi? Is he the only one in the opposition?
