Exactly my point, perhaps you don't know that the two words ( "I'm" and "am" ) are homophones, hence having the same pronunciation.
On the issue of emphatic stress, I meant you wouldn't need to stress out "I am" during conversation with a friend, which leaves it as "/am/" by transcription (same with the word "am" ).

Don't question how I know that. A simple understanding of the use of English from a sec school is a plus to clear the doubt.
