obuksjr: Are you a graduate? Try and get yourself a better grammar before 20th,otherwise I am afraid.Bros me, many graduates --& non-graduates alike-- would disagree with you on this, seeing as there are many who have advanced beyond the limit society placed on them because of their seeming lack of proper usage of grammar, especially in our climes. Look around you. You could have put it mildly na. |
eugeezy: I swear it was painful! Corruption has eaten into the fabrics of unn...bt its so last year now. my advice to you guys is this: No matter ur performance in the post DE please make sure you pray hard and follow it up esp. if u goin for a professional course like llb n mbbs..dont just relaxThat's it. Thanks for that tip. |
prolifikVj: Omo ehn! I vex on my guy behalf! 3-smoking-10.., no admission.Bro, I tell you! I come dey imagine say if na me be whoever dey admit people, I wont overlook someone with that performance, not for that flimsy excuse they gave. |
prolifikVj: Eugeezy u again?! You that has been smashing screening exams! You haven't been admitted? So you sef notice that smashing too? I followed their thread that last year, which was my first attempt at DE. Eugeezy, you'll get it this time. That's my prayer for the rest of us too. |
prolifikVj:Exactly! Okay, thank you. |
prolifikVj: So Artery what's the plan? Would u purchase the unn form?Apart from solving the issue of over-congestion of the s!te when the problem is fixed & accommodating more candidates, the extension will also be in their interest _if you get what I mean. lol. They'll extend it. I'm still undecided about whether to register or not...don't want to end up wasting all that money for nothing; scratch card, travelling etc. Is it possible to ask that unn portal person about 2nd choice candidates? To everyone else on the thread & those reading, are there no other 2nd choice candidates like me? |
ProlifikVj ...With that, the closing date will be extended. Or what do you think? |
Joejonah: I thought I was the only one that noticed it.My brother, they never get tired. I had to point that out when he was quoted so people here won't fall victim. |
francawilson: What does d bolded mean? 2nd batch as in how? We're lost pls kowaciate further.Ignore that individual, please. He's probably one of those scammers you want to be wary of; he's been spamming Nairaland with that same poorly composed & badly timed post. |
prolifikVj: Lol! Smart + sharp guy! Anyways that would have been more feasible with a state school.LOL...one has to think of how to scale through now. UNICAL is my 1st. |
prolifikVj: Gbam...extra cash no bad ni..Yes, I did. But it won't be bad if one can have a shot at both his 1st & 2nd choices na, abi? It increases the chances. |
prolifikVj: A hitch in the system..That's our best bet. Its probably too early. Lets see how it goes. Lips crossed.Yes, you give it some time & try again. That's the same response I got when I asked. Why wouldn't a school specify if it's 1st or 2nd choice candidates or both that they want? We know there are ALMOST no Federal schools these days that call 2nd choice candidates, but schools still specify it in their publications. Abi UNN wan use 2nd choice candidates generate internal revenue? |
prolifikVj: I did not. I bought one jamb DE form.. filled in 2 schools...unn as 1st choice. It might be a hitch in the system, then. I don't know anyone who has registered. I'm a 2nd choice candidate myself & yet to know what step to take as nothing was said about 2nd choice candidates. |
prolifikVj: Register more than once?? How?More than one DE scratch card_to choose more schools thereby "increasing" one's chances. I hear that some people who did so got the "your name was not sent by JAMB". When & where did you buy the UNN scratch card? |
prolifikVj: Had anyone successfully registered? This means you've been able to get the UNN scratch card? May I ask if you registered for DE more than once? |
Comfort48 you also visit here?! |
Joejonah: I'm sorry bro.Thanks, please do. |
prolifikVj: Unn has never been fair on second choice candidates at any level. Confirm thoughThanks for responding. If you could confirm for me though, I'll be glad, as I don't have where/who to confirm from. |
There was no mention of 2nd choice candidates. Are we included? I'm going for MBBS. |
steco4real: someone from enugu told me dat some DE aspirants wrote d just concluded post utme exam. how true is dis? anyone close to unn should help us wit a reliable info pls. tnx pals.Except he meant that those DE candidates also applied for UTME (some actually do). Otherwise I doubt it. |
bishopsamuel: yeaOkay. But because this is a Direct Entry thread I doubt if you'll get any replies. |
bishopsamuel: pls i nid advice i scored 226(average score)any hope for meIs that Post-UTME result? |
xamster: Still locked on, no current info yet..What a long wait! |
Hello, people. How are you holding on? |
Joejonah: I'm very sure bro... except they would stop it tomorrow. Thanks very much. For my sake they won't dare. |
Agybabe: please can you share a link? You're welcome. This is the Facebook page. On it you'll find a link to their s|te that they posted for all PUTME updates. You're right, it's been postponed to 1st & 2nd of Aug. https://m.facebook.com/unical.edu.ng?refid=46&sld=eyJzZWFyY2hfc2lkIjoiOGQ4OWRmZjI0Y2UzZmI4NjE2NWI2Mzg0NWM4NDhmOTUiLCJxdWVyeSI6InVuaXZlcnNpdHkgb2YgY2FsYWJhciIsInNlYXJjaF90eXBlIjoiU2VhcmNoIiwic2VxdWVuY2VfaWQiOjE5NDE3OTIwODcsInBhZ2VfbnVtYmVyIjoxLCJmaWx0ZXJfdHlwZSI6IlNlYXJjaCIsImVudF9pZCI6NDY2NDEyMTU2NzIyMzM0LCJwb3NpdGlvbiI6MCwicmVzdWx0X3R5cGUiOjY1fQ%3D%3D |
Agybabe: Hi house.I doubt anybody on this thread will be able to give you an accurate reply as this thread is for Direct Entry candidates. But if you search Nairaland, you should be able to see a thread for UTME candidates. UNICAL's vvebs|te and Facebook page should also carry the information. Success in your exams. |
Okay, people, I have just made the enquiry myself concerning getting more than one form, and the answer I got is that it is not allowed. The lady was very courteous and civil. JAMB has provided the phone numbers & e-mail for enquiries, they're there, it's good to hear from the horse's mouth. Note: I am not saying this to discourage anyone, I just thought I should share it for the benefit of those who might need the information to make their decisions. I myself have decided to shelve the idea. If you have applied for DE in previous years & have decided that this year is your last, you'll understand why I have decided not to risk it. Thanks to you all who provided me with info when I was in need of it; Omodave, Comfort48 etc. You made me fall in love with this thread...lol, even though I'm not a UNIBEN candidate, I already feel like one of you. Endeavour to share any info you may have with others, we all can do with some help as nobody is an island. Success to us all. |
Joejonah: yeah, they do.... you will have to upload your passport when registering online, unlike the first choice aspirants. Thanks, you're sure without any doubts that they still take 2nd choice? They haven't stopped? I'm asking 'cos I chose them as my 2nd choice & I've been hearing that they don't call 2nd choice candidates. |
Gallass: That is a fallacy. They accept second choice for DE candidates. What qualification have u obtained before? And from which school? Thanks for this info, it was really helpful. I'm applying with a B.Sc. |
makkitush: if i can't transfer via direct entry.then which people is it meant for.enlighten pls cos i'm confused now.Let me throw in some light. DE is for those who already have qualifications like a first degree (B.Sc etc), HND, OND, NCE, A'Level, IJMB etc. It is not for when you want to transfer from one school to the other. |
Gallass: Yes they doThanks, you're sure without any doubts? I'm asking 'cos I chose them as my 2nd choice & I've been hearing that they don't call 2nd choice candidates. |

! More applicants...more 2 taaazand naira!
