runzlord: The problem is lack of oppuntunity!I see you bro. Definitely not same ideas but we're in similar shoes. All the people i have around me are dumbass, who are just so shortsighted and have no lifetime ambitions and they have the same ideologies: go to school, graduate and bring money home. That's all. The same cycle for every child born. I differed an admission last yr cos i wanted to take a programming course in java and python, it was as if God himself was against me, tempers flared from parents, relatives and the like. I can't find people with similar ideas and ambitions, I'm really surprised but what i read here on nairaland especially on this thread, I'm surprised to see like minds but we are scattered around the country, separated by distance, and where science has provided for us to communicate over long distances, we are separated by lack of power supply all fueled by corruption and discriminatory prejudice. But i know one thing for sure, i have sworn to make a difference and breakthrough against all odds, to achieve all my hopes for the future, i may be young, foolish and inexperienced but that makes me more daring. |

I spent my time in new York ( front of school- i think that's a very silly name). The power supply was reasonable( although there was a case of a brown-out which lasted for about 24 hrs, the light was toooo weak like cigar light it couldn't even charge a phone). The main campus was really cool i enjoyed a bit of wifi surfing there, and i prefer it to the bosso campus. The bosso campus sucks real bad. The billboards are very annoying, i nearly burnt one. I liked the maps of Nigeria showing the number of states progression, it was education. I experienced problems with the atm in bosso campus, i just hope its not a frequent occurrence. I made some observations around the area i lived, and i think the standard of living may not be that high. On the whole, i think minna is quite cool and i appreciate the seemingly peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians in the place, cos im not usually comfortable in a Muslim dominated area ( no offence to the Muslims). I'll look forward to going back to minna, and studying there. |
uceee: This is exactly the thread I've been looking for. Just like the OP, I wanna buy my 1st android, but am torn between the M3 and L3. In order to help you advice me better, I'll tell you some of my phone habits. I am not really into games. I will be needing a fast and nice browsing experience as I prefer to browse with my phone most times. I also like to read a lot of e-books in different formats (that is a very major reason I need a smart phone). This implies that I may be reading and browsing for up to 3 hours at a time. Since I may be constantly staring at the screen for long periods, a good, clear display is important (I don't wanna start using glasses yet). A reasonable battery life is also a necessity. I hear both can view and edit office documents too. So guys which do you suggest?I'm in this bro. Shoes too, only that i game a lot and I'm considering buying the tecno d5 too. Also guys advise me too, cos it'll be my first android. Should i go for the d5 or m3 considering my phone habits. Also Can these android phones read files in pdf formats? |
