Literature › Re: Chinua Achebe Is Not The Author Of Things Fall Apart - IFA Funso by Artscollection: 10:50am On Oct 06, 2024
All africans should be proud of these 2 books.
1. Things fall apart
2. African child.
Those men made the white men to understand that we have culture that is our way of life and a source of pride to africans. As a matter of fact, what this man dont know is that achebe started writing the book when he was still in govt college Umuahia and what instigated him was one of his european teacher kept telling them that africans has no culture. Achebe was really against the Western manipulation, reasons why he didn't get his flowers. The monkey should eschew tribalism and read the masterpiece again.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Jesus, Apostles Did Not Collect Tithes - Adeboye by Artscollection: 10:18am On Oct 06, 2024
ruffhandu:
Oh, I so dislike when people make themselves the standard for Christianity.

Even Damina, when he was preaching 'prosperity gospel', he would have called every other pastor who opposes that a 'liar'. Now he claims he has 'repented', and turns around to call every pastor who is still preaching what he preached a 'liar'.

Now this Rccg man, after asking for forgiveness, he still defends his action. He had 'lied' to people they will go to hell. Now he says they won't go to hell but they should pay tithe anyway, more than 10%.
Now he has unfairly tagged another pastor's sermon as 'shallow', him who had 'lied' to his people preaches 'spirit-filled' sermon.

I honestly stay away from these people. I check what they preach with the scriptures, if my spirit confirms it with the Bible, I lambalo it, else, I thrash it. They are men like me and never my role models.
Those men has bastardized christanity with their vanity filled list even the missionaries that came with some political motives scored high above them. How can you message be centred on tithing and still people in your churches are poor and can't even afford your schools and hospitals which they contributed to

I wanted people who know their root to answer but you rush enter google. The okorijis seems to be the main character in the igbo kingship tradition

I think there are no globally known Igbo kings like we have in the west and in Edo
That's why you usually hear this adage " igbos don't have king" we have a decentralised society which encourages healthy competition and growth.

Possibly a smokescreen because he is too big for that unless he wants to end his polical career, his supporters and northerners are vehemently against this demonic regime unless they have promised him to be the big guy come 2031 but then this will also result to in-house fighting considering shettima and gandollar are gunning for it as well.

Books like this are this, Passport of Ilia by Cyprain Ekwensi, the Concubine etc etc are what Nigerian movie producers should be adopting to display the African story to the world at large.
But they prefer shooting movies with slay queens, ritual kiIIings and Yul Edochie, they are trying to copy the west while the west is now using African books to make movies, the west now make African movies for Africa.
Things like this are what we need to wake up and do not following empty trends from one month to another.
Honestly, will be classic!
Myopic children has turned something that is suppose to be a classical exhibition to a tribal dick measuring.
