Although I agree with VDM on this scam perpetuated by Omoto Fufeyin but I DON'T know why VDM has decided to waste his productive years in gossiping. I wonder what all these is for? Poster, where were you when Babangida annulled an election that was internationally acclaimed free and fair? Where were you when the Shagari's made promises and left us with austerity measures? Where were you when we were promised the seven point agenda not a point was delivered? Are we trying to incite those blood shedding "demons" to take to the streets again? Just read this now and wonder what level of ignorance is displayed in the 21st century. Imagine some of these replies? Someone is also asking for the anger of God insulting pastor Adeboye. I'm sure the girl is literate & not educated. How can an adult & literate person be so ignorant of the fact that for whatever reason you go to the registry to sign the dotted line is irrelevant in law? Tanx guys for all u have written. Just stumbled on this thread and feel good to share my exprience. My services for the legacy Coop Bank of 5yrs was transfered to Skye Bank in 2006 and was there till Dec 2009. I rose to become a BDM, a branch manager. I was laid off based on the performance of my branch on a target that it will take getting the account of Bill Gates to meet. I have moved on with my life but still ponder why the 'sins' of those at the top will be visited on those below. They said that bad debt portfolio is high and provisioning took all the profit and left losses and my question is 'who approved those loans that are now bad?'. Why won't all members of the board get a taste of this 'non performance' booty by loosing their seats?

Are pastors called in nigeria today? Or people go into pastoring after becoming jobless for some time.

To start with there is no such thing as 'senior pastor' in the RCCG. However, i attended the RCCG for some time and was really involved with finances to know how it is done. I'm no more in the RCCG but i get pissed when we blasphame men of God just to drive home points.

Can any one provide some scriptural back ups why it shld not be on full time basis and not just some intellectual discussions on how we 'feel' it shld be?

Yes i was made to understand that all the tithe in RCCG goes to the table of the GO, they said all the tithes collected belongs to the daddy GO.

Pastor Adeboye has repeatedly said that all tithes in cheque shld be written in the name of the RCCG and cheque bearing his name would be assumed his own and taken as such. Pls let's be careful to affirm these 'things' before we say them out. ALL TITHES TAKEN IN RCCG IS FOR THE CHURCH.

Size is not everything. In this case, its the quality of the congregation that matters to the Almighty, not the number of people in church. We can begin to talk about size and ability after you make christians out of the members. You will be correct if the focus is revenue generation.

Gbam. Deboskky hit on the head. Mega churches are unavoidable. However, are we saying in the bible days there no people who had 'a form Godliness, but denied the power thereof'? Are we opining that tares and wheat are not to grow together till the 'day of harvest'? If in the days of Jesus people like these existed, how much less in these days? I think we need to understudy some these mega churches to realise that the 'serious ones' are known.
