I think the deposit may depend on your course but my friend at Durham university doing her masters (I don’t know the course), paid £1000 deposit. That said, the total fee is still expensive regardless.

Being specific means that you've got an offer already, are sure about getting an offer in that organisation or that you're going back to your previous employer who is open to your return after your course.

In the absence of that, you can be specific about the industry but not the company. You should also be aware of industry rates and/or how much you're likely to be paid after your course.

If you are returning to your employer, how does this benefit your employer? Will it result in a pay raise for you at work? How does it satisfy your professional goals? Of what benefit is the course to you? Benefit is in terms of professional development / achievement or financial compensation. Did you check other courses? If yes, why did you choose this course above the other ones? What short or long term goal does this fulfil?
The answers to the above questions will enable you make the reason for choosing your course sound more personalized.

The university has offered me a temporary accommodation where I will be staying for 14 days. This is to help me to be able to quarantine myself for 14 days as required by the UK government. Hello guys, I have a bit of a headache I will need your advice on. My initial plan was to book a hotel to stay for 2 nights and then sort my apartment from there but with the latest development that says we have to stay at our arrival place for at least 14 days, I am confused on what steps to take next. I do not wish to stay in the University's owned accommodation and a hotel for 14 days is way too expensive. I also checked travel lodge which seems a bit decent for the purpose of isolation at about £470 for 2 weeks but they want a pre-payment. Can you provide the best solution(s) to this?

Maybe, maybe not. Even if the school has an arrangement, my utmost prayer is that we don't have to isolate at any point so that one can make adequate and appropriate long accommodation arrangement ASAP especially for those of us who do not want to stay at the school's residence.

Hello house, I just joined today and I see the great work you guys have been doing here. Please I have a very important question to ask regarding accommodation.

I have realized that the university owned accommodation is too expensive and would prefer to live outside. What type of accommodation would be ideal to secure so that I’m able to defend the “where would you be staying” interview question. For now though, I have booked a hotel around the campus for 2 nights but I know that doesn’t answer the question.
