i will like to remind u dt the client(1) and the artist(2) like u used, are both after d same goal, so it takes te artist(2) to convince the client(1) with genuine reason why it should be the way he thinks it should be but their so client who feels d know what is best or they just remain adamant dt dt's what dey want then u should have this basic rule in mind, "the client as d final say", i think u dnt have a choice their, KABISH?

u guys have all spoken greatly well, but like to chip these points in, there are three parts to branding

1. the company to be branded
2. the branding firm (the company that will do the branding)
3. the target market

to no. 1, branding means 'my identity', if its a new company, they come to u and say 'give me an identity' and also help me sell me to the market, all these takes place at 'briefing' and every other meetings and blah blah blah,

to no. 2, branding means 'my job', this is what i do, i give people identity, i help to promote their products, which means after the briefing, i go back to my table and come out it what will sooth my client, and so on, u know d rest of the story,

to no. 3, branding means 'product', what is could this, 'what is this product' (which comes after branding), since am the end user, what attracts me to the product, what do i get out of this product and so on,

really, from my own point of view, in one word, (leaving all the whole theory involved), BRANDING IS IDENTITY,

@adeclem i think what d poster ask for is an institute, but u didnt state weither u run a school, u only said u give lessons, would like u to clearify dt and also would like to see some of ur jobs, u can actually post dem here for everyone to view,

think ve seen a tutorial close to this on photoshop, so its most likely its full photoshop, just a manipulation of the original picture of the woman, slicing thru and addind d robot pics, dts wht i think has been done,

oh, was going to post dis before i was noted there were 3 new posts anyway just as seunnaija as said, tutorials are just to help u learn, u get to learn alot from dis tutorials, most great graphic artists know wht dey know today thru tutorials, but the moral in tutorial is for u to get the idea and apply it in ur own way, make other designs and manipulation, @alexxie,imagine u had don dt work with the picture of ya'adua or amy nigerian known figure, it would ve been so original and u urself would ve been proud dt u ve learnt something, so i think dts how it works,

@seunnaija dude, great works, they are all unique in their own way, but one question is this, wht if each of this logos were to used on a design with a different background color, wht happens?

i think mostly when designing logos, u should always consider d colors involved and should in case d next design is going to be done by anoda person,

tot as much, i was looking at d fonts, the reflection and d 3d form of it, nice job again,

nice work, with very ok concept, like the font style best, it kind of looks to me like a branding of an event rather than a company logo because i feel dis is heavy and could be to complex to stand in for a company logo, just what i feel, anyways, very nice job, u re good

the series of photoshop 1.e cs2, cs3, cs4 are evolvements like corel 11, 12, x3 and x4, so u can actually lay ur hands on any of them and practice, yes u can learn on ur own depending on how fast u wnt to learn, u can also get tutorials on net dt will help u or best of it all get a photoshop guru to teach u, u can combine both corel and photoshop and u wil come out with best of designs, goodluck

no doubt, u re good, d first job cld be better, we i ve issue is d color, not the color of d background (dts ok) but the d pics in d tape stripe are not blending with d background especially d man and guy in native attire, d pink background there is quite odd and also the first gal too, u cld actually crop them out and give it ur own background since d original background itself its just a plain one, d jobs are quite ok.

and concerning my energy drink design, d concept is not d strength he used to carry d bike but d concept is suppose to be he has riden a long distance all the way thru the hills before he finally halted and lifted his bike probably in victory or just happy with his strength, think dt shld make sense,

and again @justbones, whoever told u golf doesn't rule ur world, maybe u need to find out more abt golf and ask people u know dt as played golf, u feel fly when u play golf and is like a one man game, a player plays at a time, the current play rules the green field until he hands ova his turn to the next player, @smartsoft do u see any concept in that?

here is another job i did, its just freestyle, no drink like tropicana, it doesnt exist i just did it, in a way to improve on myself and also kind of building my portfolio, so do u still say my art is 'whack',

@ justbones why ask wht is d correlation btw glo and golf? can i ask u wht is d correlation btw mtn and football, the answer is sponsorship and company can decide to take up a game an be d official sponsor and again can i ask u the slogan of glo? if u dnt knw it is 'rule ur world' any more question,

and again dt design i did is a freestyle, especially when i'm just trying to build myself up and see how i can get better, and if there is a need for me to present to anybody there is always a concept behind my design which might not be known to u and incase u need to for the golf design i did as a freestyle but at d end i knew it could go for a golf competition sponsored by glo which i didnt ve details of, i just did it,

and man, i respect people alot but if u reali dnt need it then i will kip it to myself, enjoy urself,

and again guy, if i have d opportunity to face adenuga, trust me, he will fall in love with even a design have not done,
