BusinessDo NOT Devalue Naira. Instead Close Your Eyes To Its Slide And Do The Following by asfalol(op): 7:14am On Feb 19, 2016
Personal musings on way out:

1. Do NOT devalue Naira. Instead close your eyes to its slide and do the following with the huge Naira gains present situation confers upon government (one dollar earning by government now give it almost 300 plus equivalent spending power in Naira theoretically).:

2. Apply unprecedented austerity measures in PUBLIC SECTOR EXPENDITUREs. Expunge comfort vehicles, cosy furnitures, luxury accommodations, non essential (matter of life and death) travels, genuine training to replace funny training etc.

3. Roll out savings from austerity into massive building of unprecedented public infrastructure and services. You need to ride the storm by responsibly pushing a lot of money to the public. You would be engaging the masses, creating jobs, enhancing businesses etc. NOTE: The strategy (in 1 & 2) is to ensure we are spending on the PUBLIC and not on the PUBLIC SECTOR.

4. Ensure each infrastructure is an economic asset that earns money back for the federation and partner investors (we need this strategic spending.glut to ride the storm).

5. Encourage local production and consumption, especially of critical or essential commodities to reduce capital flight. Our taxi cabs (we should be producing every single cab locally - it is easy, fact), our rice (we eat a lot of it), our software needs, virtually all of government procurements etc. If it is not made in Nigeria, don't buy it. For government agencies, let buy Naija be a civil era DECREE! Yes, go 100% indigenous! It is doable.

6. Monitor the monitor. Round tripping by bankers aided by economic saboteurs within CBN is a reality. They inserted a rent opportunity taking advantage of transaction secrecy with guaranteed 100%+ illegal dollar 'profit'. We have the technology to ELIMINATE this. Ask how.

7. Now sit back and see how you have permanently fixed Nigeria in the period of lack!

Happy New Year bosses!

PLS do you know of any Masters student from Nigeria that has travelled to Finland with his wife?

I was offered MSc Mechanical Engineering admission @ Aalto Uni. which I deferred, I just got married and would like to apply for RP with my wife as dependant this year.

How do I convince migri that I have strong financials? What proof of fund documents do I need to apply for the RP? Can I use a sponsor or I should apply as self-sponsor (I've been working for over 2yrs now but my salary is slightly less than 100k and my wife is working too earning almost same salary as mine)?

I've gone through the requirements on migri's site and I can afford the 1.5M + 1.7M that I need to show in my account, but I want to know how I can convince them. I need a practical and Nigerian example to relate with.

PLS advice me or link me with anyone you know that has done this.

@olabode89 , congrats bro. Pls for self-sponsor, what was your closing balance (SOA) like and how much do you earn (pay-slip). I'm considering self-sponsorship too, so I wanna know how you were able to convince them for that. Thanks in advance.
