It wouldn't have been possible without the excellent performance of Dr. Willie Obiano of Anambra State as the best performing governor East of the Niger and Nigeria at large.

***This is how they defrauded unsuspecting people of their hard earned money! This is wicked!

The clamour for the independent state of Biafra has received another deadly blow as the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom have said they do not recognise the passports being issued by the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB.

The National Director of Information, MASSOB, Sunny Okereafor, had said two weeks ago that the passport was valid worldwide, adding that the travel document costs N5,000 while its renewal costs N2,000
.

He had said, “I assure you that the Biafran passport is valid. Except Nigeria, other countries of the world accept Biafran passport and allow our citizens to travel with it.

“In Europe, North and South America, Biafran passport is accepted. Nigeria is the only country that seizes Biafran passport. Go to neighbouring Ghana here, they will stamp the passport for you. Don’t be confused by the propaganda of the Nigerian government that there is nothing like Biafra passport.

“MASSOB appeals to Biafran citizens to procure their passport and use it to travel. If you doubt me, get a Nigerian passport while I have my Biafran passport; when we get to Europe, you will see who they will welcome than the other. Many people with the Nigerian passport have been repatriated, but have you heard of anybody with Biafran passport receiving such ill-treatment?”

However, the American consulate in Lagos has denied the claim when contacted by Punch.

Reacting to the claim, the Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the consulate, Frank Sellin, said, “The United States does not consider passports purporting to be from a Biafra entity to be a valid legal document for purposes of visa issuance.”

Similarly, the British Government said the claims by the Biafra protesters were untrue.

A statement by the Press and Public Affairs Officer, British High Commission, Abuja, Mr. Joe Abuku, read in part, “The answer is unequivocally ‘no’. The UK does not recognise the so-called Biafran passport

“The position of the UK Government during the Biafran War is a matter of historical record. The UK Government’s position, which reflected the Charter of the Organisation of African Unity, was to recognise the borders laid down at independence.

“The Biafran War caused great suffering and the UK supported the reconciliation work that followed the conflict. The UK supports the territorial integrity of Nigeria and the Nigerian Government’s commitment to work for a secure and prosperous Nigeria for all Nigerians.”

The killings are not caused by the Igbos but by Imo state people that created the monsters called MASSOB and IPOB. I will suggest that Buhari should focus the military strength in Imo state as it is being shown in the NE.

ONE NIGERIA!

Caseless:
exactly how asinines reason. So , you justify the killing of visitors in your place by the action of herdsmen? How low can this emotional race or lost isrealites sink?
So, ibo are now killing to avenge for those killed by herdsmen? God!
PoliticsRe: Why MASSOB And IPOB Should Be Treated Like Boko Haram & Herdsmen Militia- PICS by asha90(op): 1:14pm On Apr 12, 2016
Read your history very well. His ancestry was traced to Imo state which makes him an indigene of Imo state. Let us call a spade a spade. Peter Odili's ancestry was traced to Ogbaru in Anambra but politically he is in Rivers state.

Adaure4ever:
nnamdi kanu is the son of HRH Eze Israel Kanu of Afara, Ibeku clan, Abia.
He is from Abia and not Imo.
Though what he is doing is a treason act according to the constitution but its wrong to equate it to terrorism fanatics like boko haram.
Nigeria need to embrace Regionalism or Federalism or Loose Confederacy so that the whole issue of seccession will go down.
PoliticsRe: Why MASSOB And IPOB Should Be Treated Like Boko Haram & Herdsmen Militia- PICS by asha90(op):
Stop running away from the reality! We need to start tracing the problem from their states of origin which happens to be Imo state. Both MASSOB and IPOB originated from Imo state where their founders come from.

Buhari should declare total war on Imo state for producing and nurturing the miscreants and criminals that formed MASSOB and IPOB. Their state of origin is paramount here. The same way Bornu is seen as the spiritual and physical head office of Boko haram is the same way MASSOB/IPOB has it's spiritual and physical head office in Okwe/Owerri in Imo state. #FACT!

**MASSOB/IPOB is an Imo state thing and should be treated as such. Genuine Igbos are industrious law abiding people except for these people.

Abagworo:
Chino this stylish runawsy from your own filth fikwa amazing. IPOB is mostly an APGA thing while MASSOB is PDP. FG should treat them as terrorists like Chino wrote but is not a State thing but a political strategy by PDP/APGA. PoliticsRe: Why MASSOB And IPOB Should Be Treated Like Boko Haram & Herdsmen Militia- PICS by asha90(op): 12:59pm On Apr 12, 2016
They are both from Imo state. Stop spreading false information around here!

thesicilian:
I do not agree with you @OP.

First Nnamdi Kanu is from Abia, not Imo state.

Second, it is not fair to compare IPOB or MASSOB to Book haram, a terrorist group regarded as the deadliest in the world, way ahead of ISIS and Al Qaeda judging by the number of lives they have wasted within such a few years.

Third, while it may be true that Nwazuruike & Kanu are both taking advantage of the gullible ibo youths, you can't really blame them that much. Blame the federal government for neglecting the south east region for so long. Blame their own governors and political leaders who would rather line their own pockets than the people who voted them in.

And Last, blame the youths themselves, who even though are educated (mostly) continue to fail to realize that they're just dispensable pawns in the big scam that is ipob and massob
PoliticsWhy MASSOB And IPOB Should Be Treated Like Boko Haram & Herdsmen Militia- PICS by asha90(op):
Imo state indigene named Ralph Uwazulike founded MASSOB in 1999 for his selfish and demonic ambition while also another Imo state indigene in the person of Nnamdi Kanu seeing that Uwazulike led MASSOB had flourished financially over the years, left MASSOB and floated his own organization called IPOB. Both organizations used mostly jobless miscreants from Imo state to unleash mayhem and arson within their state and beyond. They have used the organization to create bad blood and disaffection between Igbos and other ethnic groups.

Today, Imo state indigene led organizations(MASSOB and IPOB) have grown so much that they are now kidnapping and killing people in parts of Abia and Imo states mostly visitors. This has prompted the DSS to intensify manhunt for the likes of Uwazulike led MASSOB and his members. The organization tried similar thing few years back in Anambra and Enugu states but met a brick-wall and they retreated.

In a nutshell, both organization are profit making ones, they scam people through fake international passports thereby enriching themselves and their families. They are not fighting for anybody but their purse and bank accounts. Real Igbos should dissociate themselves from these criminals. Both men are scam artistes going about duping people with the fake hope of getting them fixed in juicy places when the new country is achieved. Hopeless dream I must say!

Federal government should treat Uwazulike and Kanu both from Imo state as terrorists just like they are now treating Boko Haram. MASSOB and IPOB are the greatest enemies of Ndi-Igbo. These people are the real problem of the Igbos and not the Hausa nor Yoruba as falsely claimed by some people.

This thread is not meant to spite any group or state but to set the record straight.

Buhari do something ASAP!

**See the fake international passport below!

PoliticsRe: MASSOB Barnishes Nwodo, wogu From Igbo Land by asha90: 8:01pm On Apr 11, 2016
Uwazulike the founder of MASSOB and Kanu the founder of IPOB are both from Imo State, both of them and their majority jobless followers from their state should be treated as terrorists and Boko haram founders. Buhari should do this simple task for us.

focus7:
Biafra agitators are terrorist group just like boko haram, the FG needs to rise up to eradicate both massob and ipob before they develop to a menace.
PoliticsRe: MASSOB Barnishes Nwodo, wogu From Igbo Land by asha90: 7:43pm On Apr 11, 2016

Can't you help yourself in this life for once by getting yourself busy with something useful than being here talking out of point all day and all night? Get a job old man! Emelu gi ifea eme? I spit on you! Tufia!

***The same MASSOB and IPOB you are yapping about are owned by i.diots from your Imo state (Uwazulike and Kanu).

[s]
Abagworo:
This goes on to prove like I've always written that IPOB and MASSOB is a PDP thing. The way they have been lying, blackmailing and threatening Rochas Okorocha who has not killed or arrested any of them while sparing PDP/APGA men in whose States Igbos and IPOB people have been killed in dozens only proves they are working for PDP. APC should do the needful by employing same tactics at the grassroots and sponsor them to counter PDP's IPOB.

What is wrong in calling a fellow citizen from another zone to form a government? How is it different from what played out last year when the North and SW teamed up to formed a government? http://dailytimes.ng/constitutional-crisis-how-zik-was-forced-to-call-balewa-to-form-government-daura/Constitutional crisis: How Zik was forced to call Balewa to form government no constitutional power to refuse to call Tafawa Balewa
he then Chief Justice of the Federation, Sir Adetokunbo Ademola and Ibekwe, a member of the supreme court judges went to Zik, looked at him and said Zik unless you want to cause crisis in this country, you have no constitutional power to refuse to call upon the Prime Minister, Tafawa Balewa to form government. Zik accepted and complied. Because of that intervention, he called Balewa. Balewa then formed the government and ordered election in the other parts of the country where it was not held, hence the rise of a broad base government
[/s]

https://www.h-net.org/~africa/obituaries/zik.html

LAGOS, May 13 [1996] (Reuter) - Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nigeria's first president, whose death was reported on Monday by the state-owned News Agency of Nigeria, was a champion of African nationalism and master of compromise in his country's turbulent politics.

Widely known as "Zik of Africa," the politician, scholar, poet and journalist helped to end the Biafran civil war that had plunged his Ibo people into mass suffering. The agency said Azikiwe, 91, died on Saturday at the hospital where he had been admitted for some time with an undisclosed illness.

An imposing figure standing over six feet (1.83 metres), Azikiwe was sworn in as Nigeria's first president in 1963 when it became a republic after independence from Britain in 1960.

**NOTE the part that captured that he was duely sworn in as the first president of Nigeria and not that he was selected nor appointed. They are not the same semantics.

Zik was quite a great man having gotten western education when it was rare. However, he didn't do anything for Igbos east and west of River Niger.

To Igbos these people were more relevant: Ojukwu,MI Okpara,Alvan Ikokwu,Kaduna Nzeogwu,Akanu Ibia,Dennis Osadebe.

Zik is like Ironsi. They pleased Hausas n Yorubas

Of course you were there to know all these nonsense you have spewed. Tell me among the political actors of that era who were more politically sophisticated and intelligent than the great Zik?

In parliamentary systems fashioned after the Westminster system, the prime minister is the presiding and actual head of government and head of the executive branch. In such systems, the head of state or the head of state's official representative (i.e. the monarch, ceremonial president , or governor-general) usually holds a largely ceremonial position, just with reserve powers. A position, function, or event that is ceremonial is considered to be representative of an institution, but has very little authority or influence. That was Azikwe position
