This is to inform the general public that the N-Power would reopen her portal on June 13th, 2017 for new intakes.

The Federal Government N-Power programme application has officially started receiving online application forms from applicants across the country. If you need a step-by-step guide on how to apply, here is the application process:

First visit npower.gov.ng and register by creating a username and password and then sign in.
Click through the various programmes and choose the one that suites you and then click on apply at the bottom of the page
Carefully fill the application form and make sure to provide accurate information and documents to support your application.
After submitting you will receive an acknowledgement email letter confirming the receipt of the application.
After 48hours you will be notified by email and the registration portal whether you are eligible for the N-Power program, if you are unsuccessful you may apply again in subsequent programs.
If you are successful you can proceed to the test page at the MY N-POWER PORTAL, you will be required to write two tests; a general skills test and program specific test.
Depending on your program there may be a final interview before acceptance into the N-Power program, otherwise you will receive an email confirming your provisional acceptance into the N-Power program.
You will have to confirm your acceptance to secure your place.
Specific information and program details will now be sent to your email.
If at any point you encounter a challenge in filling your form you can send an email to info@npower.gov.ng.

I have seen so many Nairalanders complaining and lamenting their ordeal in the hands of fake scam companies who invite people for interview only to introduce them to fake drug marketing business.
I'm doing this not only because these companies waste people's time, energy and T-fair going to such interviews, but also because most of these scammers extort money from hapless job seekers thereby making their suffering times two.
Imagine a scammer extorting #10,500 from a graduate who have been unemployed for years, not to talk of the transport fare wasted going to such fruitless interviews or job chat as they usually call it.
Some people even borrow money to pay these sheep in wolves clothing, who promise them heaven on earth. Some will tell you that you will make half a million within 1 month and all that. If you're not careful, you will take a loan that you will not be able to repay thus causing embarrassment and lack of rest of mind. An unemployed person should have only himself to worry about, not having debts also.

So I believe that if we are properly guided, we will not fall into the hands of these scammers.
Having said that, there are ways by which one can identify a fake or scam interview invitation and there fore avoid such waste of time and money. The good thing is that most of their messages come in the same format, so you will know its fake!

1. The message does not bear a company name: most of these scammers won't include their names on the message you will receive. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a phone number. A genuine company will not hide its identity from a potential employee.

2. The message will say "interview/job briefing": whatever job briefing means I don't know!
3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This is an indication of the code number of the person who invited you to the "job briefing".
4. It will contain a phone number: this is the number of your referer. Most genuine companies don't give phone numbers.
5. You will see HR Admin in the message instead of company name
6. If you call their number, they will be reluctant to give info on the company.


And pls, ignore those people sharing job flyers on the streets, and those ones they paste on walls. Those are scammers and some ritualists too. And also most of these so called agencies are avenues for duping unsuspecting job seekers. Pls shine your eyes well well.
I will post the names of some of these fake companies/ agencies later.

Pls if you have any experiences inthe hands of these scammers kindly share it here so that others can learn and avoid them too. Thank you

What I was trying to tell you is that yikpata is under a local government called edu local government differ from Ipata.. Next time you are chat with unknown person try to be unrude and don't be insolence cos you are to me

Yeah. NYSC permanent camp is located at Yikpata. But it is not a local govt. We have just 16 local govt in Kwara. Yikpata is not among them. Pls receive brain !

Yikpata is not the major problem.. You just need good place of primary assignment and you can only pray for it..

They have hostel. You will sleep in one cubicle. The hostel is okay. You just have work hand in hand with your Corp members at your hostel so that they won't mess up the toilet. When I was there,I was in hostel 6 cubicle B. It was fun

U don't need hotel.. Go straight to camp.. It will be open.. Just don't forget that you are going to carry your loads or bags on your head at the beginning of the camp and would will run with it

Abidemi.. Yikpata!!! It's full of stones and sand.. The sun is in grade A over there. No good water but u can wake up by 1am in order to fetch manual tap water. The wind is very bad.. Don't let me frighten u on that.. You will surely enjoy it sha

Chris it's very easy to go yikpata from lagos cos I was in lag before moving the my ppa.. Just go straight to ojoro to board a bus Marana and inside maraba u will see yikpata nccf Corp members waiting for u in other to convey u to yikpata.. Just prepare urslf ooo
