RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION WORK

Some customers of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) have been plunged into darkness as its 33KVA feeder located around the on-going railway construction site near the popular Tejuosho market, Yaba has been damaged owing to the activities of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).

A statement signed by EKEDC’s Corporate Communications General Manager, Godwin Idemudia, revealed that excavation of the railway site exposed underground cables that were instrumental to the supply of electricity to places in Yaba and environs, further stating that the cables were later vandalised and stolen by unscrupulous elements.

According to Idemudia, the issue was detected by the Operations and Maintenance team of EKEDC on routine surveillance of the feeder. Further investigation discovered that suspected cable thieves had carted away 180 meters of the cable which has caused outage to customers in the following areas within Yaba and Environs; Tejuosho Market, Montogomery, Ojuelegba, Abeokuta Express, Borno Way, Freeman, Capital Works, Herbert Macaulay, Sabo Express, Muritala Mohammed, Jacob Mews amongst others.

He said “We are yet to ascertain if this was a deliberate act by the company (CCECC) for whatever reason or its construction workers took advantage of the situation for personal gains. However, we can confirm that this is not the first case of a similar incident involving the company and it is our duty to inform customers of the source of their inconvenience”.

The EKEDC Spokesperson assured customers that investigations are being conducted to apprehend the culprits and prevent such incidents from recurring. He also pleaded with customers to exercise patience while efforts to resolve the issue and restore supply as soon as possible are underway.

So one day I was working on my system and I saw a notification then I just pressed okay without reading clearly? I was sure what I saw was “clear passwords”. Immediately I did that I was logged out of all my google accounts.
Before you shout yahoo, biko my company manage brands and run their marketing and IT support that’s why I have many accounts oh! Incase any SARS oga is reading this.

I have always been used to auto-saved passwords for many year so clearly I do not even remember my passwords to my personal handles again. Then I went to chrome saved password to scavenge for these items.
Hours later I realized all web platforms that require login have been logged out and I have to always enter passwords, the auto save stopped woking.

Mehn I run an administrative server, if anything should happen and I cant access some accounts hmmmm God forbid o. Gbese!
But my passwords on chrome saved passwords are still there, why are they not calling up? I wondered?
Then I realized something strange, auto password is working on some platforms from incognitio but they are not working on normal chrome.

Have I been hacked?! I refuse to accept the thought because it's too scary.
Even when I put in the correct password I copied from autosave to my account on normal chrome it doesn’t work, but when I use the same password on incognitio it works. At this time my heart was pounding very fast and I remember the words of my friend “Franklin Bekee” who use to always say, Fash I no dey use Google Chrome auto save o, that thing is not safe.

One of my techies “Solomon” advised I uninstall Chrome and install it again so everything will start afresh fine, but the problem is that there are platforms I do not even know I have again and they will always come handy at some point in future, how do I solve the future?
Now I’m faced with the problem of exporting all my saved password before uninstalling Chrome, how do I do it safely? If it is successfully done, how safe is Chrome password auto-save?

4. Select “Correction of Data”. This is available on the side bar or on the Home page

5. Once selected, the menu item “Course/Institution” will be revealed. Click this.

6. Once you select this service, a Transaction ID is generated for this service. This will be displayed on the confirmation page screen.

7. Review the details displayed on the Confirmation Page. Also, note the Transaction ID displayed in a bold red font. The Transaction ID is useful for all future references concerning the Transaction. A copy of this transaction ID will be sent to your registered email address.

8. Click on the Continue button if you wish to pay with your card immediately. If you wish to use other payment channels like ATM, Cash at the Bank or Quickteller, please note the transaction ID as it will be required.

9. On the Interswitch Payment page, enter your card details and click on the Pay button.
